(AGI) Rome - Speaking on Tgcom24, Rita Maccarelli, the grandmother of the Claudio, the 16-month-old child thrown into the Tiber by his father said "He is not insane as he himself says, he is just violent and a bully. He used to beat up my daughter." The man, Patrizio Francescelli, threw the child into the river after a quarrel with his former partner. "Claudia, my daughter," continued the child's grandmother, "Is in hospital now both because she had been hit by him and because she is anorexic. She does not know her child has died or anything about what has happened." When trying to stop the man, Rita Maccarelli too was injured and hurt her arm. Speaking of Patrizio Franceschelli, she reported that the man's father had died and that he had no family. "He had found one with us and our door was always open for him.
