Whatta prince this guy is. Serious drug stuff, plus swords and razors all over the place. So while dad DAVID A. RINGENBERG was "caretaking" these two children, where was Mom? Working to support his druggie, deadbeat butt? Or did this jerk have custody/visitation? Take your pick, as once the media won't tell you how or why these children were in Daddy's "care."

Cary police: Pot-smoking dad had swords in house

A Cary father was arrested Tuesday after police said he was smoking pot with his two young children in the house and also kept swords and razors within their reach.

David A. Ringenberg, 23, of 1229 Pond St., is charged with one count of misdemeanor child abuse, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to arrest warrants filed in the Wake County Magistrate's Office.

In addition to the swords and razors, 11 glass pipes, a grinder and a scale were found in the home, Cary police said.

Ringenberg is being held in the Wake County jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.
