Drunk dad leaves baby alone in hotel hot tub; was found face-down in the water, but has survived (Wauwatosa, Wisconsin)

UNNAMED DAD is to be charged with child neglect after leaving his 14-month-old daughter alone in a hotel hot tub while he talked on phone. Dad had consumed 10 beers and some unidentified "prescription medication" which might account for some of his behavior. The baby was found face-down in the water. Dad really manned up to his actions here, as he tried to sneak out the door when police were questioning witnesses.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. -- Child neglect charges are expected to be filed against a Wisconsin man accused of leaving his 14-month-old daughter alone in a hotel hot tub while he talked on the phone.

Wauwatosa police said the 44-year old Cornell man was watching his daughter at the Super 8 on Mayfair Road last week.

Police said the man drank 10 beers in four hours and also took prescription medication.

Police said he left his daughter in the hot tub to talk on the phone and a few minutes later he found her face down in the water.

The girl was treated at Children's Hospital for fluid in her lungs.

Police said the man tried to sneak out a back door as they were interviewing witnesses.
