Stepdad admits raping 10-year-old stepdaughter, setting her on fire (Wichita, Kansas)
We've posted on stepdad CHRIS NEWBERRY before. He has finally confessed to dousing his 10-year-old stepdaughter with lighter fluid and setting her on fire. Now we find out that he also sexually assaulted her. Somehow calling this guy a POS doesn't seem strong enough.
Hat tip to Joan for finding this update.

Kansas man admits raping stepdaughter, setting her on fire
WICHITA A Haysville, Kan., man has pleaded guilty to raping his 10-year-old stepdaughter and using lighter fluid to set her on fire while she slept.
KWCH in Wichita reports that 28-year-old Chris Newberry pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of rape — a charge that was added Wednesday — and five counts of arson in the March 2009 fire that badly burned the stepdaughter.
Investigators say Newberry sexually assaulted the girl several times over the past year before the fire, but the girl could remember only once. The victim’s grandmother says the girl was too afraid to say anything about what her stepdad was doing to her.
Newberry could be sentenced up to life in prison, and will have to serve at least 25 years under the state’s Jessica’s Law provisions.
Sentencing is set for Oct. 30.
