Dad convicted of assaulting 2-month-old daughter (Exeter, Pennsylvania)

Dad WALTER BREYMEIER has been sentenced to more than 6 years in prison for assaulting his 2-month-old daughter. Daddy got "frustrated" with Mom, so naturally, he "displaced" that anger by throwing a baby, who suffered a head injury amidst all that "displacement" it seems.

Well, Daddy has certainly mastered psychobabble, hasn't he? And it will probably just get worse after the "mental health evaluation" and "anger management classes" he will be subjected to.

An Exeter man convicted last month of assaulting and violently mishandling his 2-month-old daughter was sentenced Monday to more than six years in state prison.

Luzerne County Judge Tina Polachek Gartley ordered Walter Breymeier to serve consecutive terms of five to 10 years for aggravated assault charge, one to two years for endangering the welfare of a child and three to six months for simple assault.

Breymeier admitted the abuse to investigators, telling them the mistreatment of his daughter was a way of displacing frustrations with his wife.

Breymeier, 24, of Schooley Avenue, shook, squeezed and threw his daughter so violently, according to prosecutors, he caused bone fractures and brain swelling.

Gartley ordered Breymeier to undergo a mental health evaluation and complete an intervention program for batterers and anger management classes. After his release, he must serve two years on probation, perform community service and maintain employment, Gartley said.
