Dad charged with abusing 7-week-old son (Kansas City, Missouri)
Notice that "family members" took the baby to the hospital, and "family members" were told Daddy's alibi.
Is is this a custody/visitation situation? A mother forced (by the courts?) or otherwise obliged to "share" the newborn baby with the short-tempered, abusive baby daddy? What happened to the mother here?
Dad is identified as JAMAAL L. MCDANIEL.

Jackson County prosecutors have charged a Kansas City man with physically abusing his 7-week-old son.
Jamaal L. McDaniel, 25, was charged Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court with child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
After noticing apparent bruises on the baby in January, family members took him to Children’s Mercy Hospital. Doctors determined he had a fractured leg and ribs, according to court documents filed in support of the charges.
According to family members, McDaniel told them that he had dropped the infant while giving him a bath and had squeezed him too hard while trying to hold onto him, according to the court documents.
He was being held Tuesday in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
