Drunk dad rolls over 15-week-old son; baby has brain damage, long-term injuries (Nokomis, Florida)
Dad JONATHON PONDER is charged with child abuse after he got drunk and "accidentally" rolled over his 15-week-old infant son. The baby has brain damage and other long-term injuries as a result. That Daddy couldn't be bothered to get medical help didn't help matters either.
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT: So where is the mother in all this? Working, while the father is too drunk off his @$$ to notice that he rolled over the baby? I wonder if this mom even had any maternity leave so she could take of the baby herself, instead of having to rely on this snockered fool for "child care." Probably little to no maternity leave at all is my guess.

NOKOMIS - A Nokomis man got drunk and rolled on top of his infant son, causing brain damage and other long-term injuries to the child, authorities say.
The 15-week-old boy suffered liver and kidney failure and is believed to have permanent brain damage after his father, 24-year-old Jonathon Ponder, accidentally suffocated him, according to arrest documents.
Ponder, who lives in the 300 block of Olive Avenue, was drunk when he rolled over the infant on May 15, a Sheriff's detective wrote in an arrest report.
Ponder was charged with child abuse, detectives say, because he did not get the child proper care.
Ponder is being held without bond.
