Dad pleads guilty to child abuse; 4-month-old daughter had head injuries, fractured arm (Charleston, West Virginia)
Dad TIMOTHY ATKINS has pleaded guilty to child abuse, and faces up to 5 years in prison. His 4-month-old daughter suffered head injuries and a fractured arm while Daddy was "watching" her.
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT: So where is Mom? Working, while Daddy has been drafted into "watching" the baby?
Since the "free enterprise" economy isn't creating many jobs these days, I'm really wondering if we need some sort of WPA program to put these "babysitting" fathers to work. You know, just like the kind under Franklin Roosevelt. Plant trees along roads, build pretty stone fences, pick up garbage, create parks and playgrounds. Something that uses all that physical energy and directs it towards something productive. These guys need to be breaking rocks instead of the arms or legs of infants.
