State Police: Drunk father let 14-year-old child drive him around

Baldwinsville (WSYR-TV) - State Police have arrested a Baldwinsville man who is accused of allowing his 14-year-old son to drive him around while he was drunk.
Adam Kelly, 40, of Curtis Avenue, was arrested on May 11 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child after an anonymous caller contacted a child abuse hotline and Oswego County Child Protective Services was notified.
Court documents say between April 3rd and April 17th, Kelly allowed his 14-year-old son to drive his 2002 pick-up truck while he rode in the passenger seat after having consumed alcohol.
Kelly has two DWI charges in his past, one in 1999 and the other in 2008.
Kelly was questioned by police and admitted to allowing his child to drive him around while he was drunk, according to a State Police Investigator.
Kelly was scheduled to appear in Baldwinsville Village Court on May 19th. We do not yet know the outcome of that court appearance.
His next court date will be July 14 at 6 p.m. in the Village of Baldwinsville Court.
