Dad kills 6 people, including first wife and son; wounds 11 others (Tehran, Iran)

Dad MOHAMMAD A. is basically a family anihilator, Iranian-style. He killed six people (including his first wife and daughter) and wounded 11 others (including his second wife and son). Despite the usual newspaper blather about a "family disputes" or "family problems," this wasn't about the family. This was about Dad "loosing control." Got to have that control, ya know. Even when innocent people have to die because Dad's a screwed-up mess.

Iranian man kills wife, daughter, four others

TEHRAN, Iran (AFP) - An Iranian man killed six people including his first wife and a daughter in a shooting rampage in Tehran province after a family dispute, the ISNA news agency reported yesterday.

"The first wife of the shooter, his daughter and four other young people between the ages of 10 and 24 were killed," the agency quoted provincial police commander Alireza Akbar Shahi as saying.

Akbar Shahi said the gunman - a polygamist identified only as Mohammad A - also wounded 11 people including his second wife and a son.

"On Sunday evening we received calls about a shooting in the Qods residential area of the town of Shahriar," Akbar Shahi said, adding that the 65-year-old had planned to kill his wives because of family problems.

The victims all lived in the same building as the gunman, the police commander said, adding that the man said he "lost control" and began shooting people. Police said they have also seized several weapons.

Polygamy is allowed in the Islamic republic where the legal system is based on Islamic sharia law.
