I agree with the prosecutors. Why is dad JAMES RAPHAEL MITCHELL getting bail at all? The guy is a dangerous menace with a long history of violence against his murdered girlfriend.

Bail set for porn mogul's son accused of murder

NOVATO, Calif. -- A Marin County judge has set bail at $5 million for a porn mogul's son accused of killing his ex-girlfriend with a baseball bat and kidnapping their 1-year-old daughter.

The judge's decision to set bail Monday is considered a small legal victory for James Raphael Mitchell, who has pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and other charges.

Prosecutors say the 29-year-old Pittsburg man should be held without bail.

Mitchell's attorney says the bail amount is still too high and he will try to get it reduced.

Mitchell is accused of fatally beating 29-year-old Danielle Keller at her Novato home on July 12, then kidnapping their baby.

He is the son of Jim Mitchell, who directed the 1972 porn classic, "Behind the Green Door."
