5 sisters in Brazil accuse father of sexual abuse

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Brazilian news media are reporting that five sisters in Sao Paulo state have accused their father of sexually abusing them over 20 years.

The newspaper and television reports say that police officials are investigating the allegations and have interviewed the sisters, who range in age from 8 to 29. Authorities have not released their identities because of the nature of the allegations.

A call Friday to the police department handling the case was not returned.

The reports say that all five sisters went to the police Wednesday and testified they were raped and subjected to other abuse.

Police are looking for the father, who has not been identified to protect his daughters' privacy.
