Caretaking dad charged with murder in death of 1-month-old daughter while mom was at work (Indianapolis, Indiana)

I honestly get so sick of reporting these stories. But people need to know that this is what happens with our hellbent social policy of gender "role reversal" --i.e. when we enlist (unemployed?) dads to be "caretakers" while we force the mothers of newborns (this baby was only 1 month old!) out into the workplace as breadwinners. Nevermind that Mom had barely recovered from child birth. That's the contempt with which our society treats mothers and babies these days. And how much do you want to bet she came home to a filthy house every night too, since macho dads like this typically insist that mere housework is degrading to their masculinity?

In this case the "caretaking" dad was EMMANUEL RODRIQUEZ-SERRANO. Notice how this nitwit tries to act dumb with the cops--he just doesn't know how that baby "ended up" on the floor!

Really?

The fatal injuries this baby sustained show that this was no mere fall. She was covered with bruises and appeared to have been hit several times. She died of blunt force trauma, apparently as a result of being hit in the face and head.

Dad's been charged with murder.

Father Arrested On Murder Charge In Infant's Death
Police: Infant Died Of Blunt Force Trauma

POSTED: 8:55 pm EST January 19, 2011
UPDATED: 5:40 am EST January 20, 2011

INDIANAPOLIS -- The father of a 1-month-old girl found dead in an apartment on Indianapolis' north side was arrested Wednesday on a murder charge.

Indianapolis police were called to 9323 Racquet Ball Drive just after 1 p.m. Tuesday on a report of an unresponsive child.

Emergency responders said they found the infant -- Evelyn Jasmine Ricardo -- lying on the floor, dead.

The infant's father, Emmanuel Rodriguez-Serrano, 20, and his cousin were in the home at the time. The girl's mother was at work.

The men told police the baby was asleep on a bed and somehow ended up on the floor. They said when they woke up, the baby was dead.

An autopsy Wednesday determined that the infant died as a result of blunt force trauma, police said.

Sgt. Paul Thompson said the infant was covered with bruises and appeared to have been struck several times.

"The child appeared to be suffering from some type of trauma to the face, as they observed what appeared to be bruising at that time," Thompson said. " We rely heavily on the autopsy to make the determination whether that was from some type outside source, or from some illness or some previous injury, but the autopsy did determine that this was the result of intentional blunt force trauma."

Rodriguez-Serrano was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a preliminary charge of murder.
