Custodial dad stripped 8-year-old son named and chained him for five hours; mother has been "away" since boy was a baby (George Town, Malaysia)
Are you kidding? Mom has been "away" since this boy was a baby?
Take a closer look at Daddy, the one who stripped an 8-year-old child naked and chained him up.
Do you think he is somehow incapable of beating, torturing, or even killing the boy's mother?
Do you think that even if she is still alive and well somewhere, she is able to come back and safely claim her son or "co-parent" with this torturer?
Honestly, the media just assumes we're all idiots. "Away" my @$$.
UNNAMED DAD.

Cops to refer father of chained boy to DPP
Wednesday May 18, 2016 08:01 AM GMT+8
GEORGE TOWN, May 18 ― Police will refer the case of a 45-year-old school van driver who allegedly stripped naked and chained his eight-year-old son at a stairway of his flat for five hours in Paya Terubong last weekend to the deputy public prosecutor’s office soon for further action.
George Town police chief ACP Mior Farid Alathrash Wahid said police had already recorded the father’s statement and released him on police bail on Monday afternoon.
“We would complete our investigation soon and submit the investigation papers to the DPP’s office for the next course of action,” he said adding that if there were any elements of abuse appropriate action would be taken under the Children Act 2001 for child abuse.
In the incident, the father allegedly stripped his son naked and chained him for being naughty from 10pm on Saturday until 3am on Sunday.
A resident spotted the boy when he came home on Saturday night and took photographs and a video, and uploaded them on his Facebook page. The photographs and video had gone viral since.
Following media reports on the incident, the police investigated the case although no police report was lodged by anyone.
The boy has been placed under the care of the Welfare Department and police supervision since Monday.
Department director Said Sidup said the boy was warded at the Penang Hospital for medical observation following his traumatic experience.
“The boy’s health and mental condition will be supervised by the medical officers. We want to make sure he is in normal health.
“We are also trying to locate the mother of the boy who was said to be away since he was eight months’ old,” he said.

Girl, 5, abused: Father and step-mother nabbed
The Star/ANN Tuesday, Jun 30, 2015
KOTA BARU - Police have arrested and remanded the couple suspected of severely abusing a five-year-old girl.
The father and stepmother were picked up at a shop in Jalan Bayam here at 10pm on Sunday.
Kelantan police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mazlan Lazim said yesterday the man aged 39 and his 25-year-old wife had been remanded for a week to facilitate investigations.
The child was admitted to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital here after her biological mother found welts, cuts and bruises on her body and lodged a police report.
Medical examination showed that the child, who has 13 broken bones, might be permanently disabled.
The abuse, believed to have been inflicted on her over the past two years, might have resulted in her one thigh bone being shorter than the other.
The father kept the child after he divorced her mother in 2013.
Her medical condition came to light after the stepmother handed over the girl to her biological mother recently, saying they were unable to care for her.

Custodial dad, step remanded for abuse torture of 5-year-old daughter; girl has 13 fractures, malnourished (Pasir Mas, Malaysia)
As often happens with the media, we have a real slick erasure of a lot of backstory. "Somebody" granted this UNNAMED DAD custody, and allowed him and the step to torture this child over two years. Obviously, the mother must have had her contact cut off, as she couldn't have "discovered" old scars and signs of malnutrition if she had had contact all along. So "somebody" also allowed the father to shut the mom out--very common with child abusers who like to punish Mom and not get caught. But of course, "somebody" is never named.

Custodial dad arrested after locking 7-year-old daughter in room with no food for several days (Malaysia)
UNNAMED DID didn't just leave this little girl locked in a room by herself with no food. HE NO LONGER EVEN LIVED IN THE APARTMENT. Did he intend to leave her there to die?
Classic abusive father scenario. He obviously didn't want this child at all. He just wanted to punish the mother by taking the daughter away after they "separated." Not one word of explanation here as to how he got custody or how the legal system helped him.

Starving child left home alone in Malaysia
The Star/Asia News Network Saturday, Jan 17, 2015 . B
BUTTERWORTH - A seven-year-old girl who just started Year One in school was found starving in a locked room inside a flat.
North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said police freed the girl, who they found to be weak from hunger when they entered a flat in Taman Sungai Dua Utama, Sungai Dua.
They found her on Thursday evening and believe that she had gone without food for several days.
ACP Abdul Rahman said the girl asked the policemen for food as soon as she saw them.
Police had gone to the flat after a teacher at the girl's school became concerned when she did not show up after the first day.
"The teacher had also been told by the other teachers at the school that the girl had looked weak and frail.
"The teachers became suspicious when the girl's father came over to the school on Thursday to collect the RM100 school aid," ACP Abdul Rahman said at the Seberang Jaya Hospital yesterday where the girl was sent for a medical examination.
The school's student affairs teacher lodged a police report on the matter on Thursday, he said. #"At 7.30pm that day, police went to the flat and found the girl inside the room which had been locked from the outside. The flat did not have any electricity or water supply.
"She had bruises on her arms and thighs which we believe was caused by someone pinching her," said ACP Abdul Rahman.
The case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for abuse.
He said the child's 34-year-old father, believed to be a petrol station attendant, was arrested and placed under remand till Monday.
ACP Abdul Rahman said police believe the girl was the suspect's daughter from his first wife, an Indonesian.
He said the couple had separated and the suspect was now living with his second wife and their five children at another flat nearby.

Custodial dad, girlfriend to be charged for repeatedly punching, beating 7-year-old daughter (Malacca, Malaysia)
Malaysia is obviously different from the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the like in many ways.
But in its coddling of abusive custodial fathers, it is remarkably the same. Compare and contrast this story to the one posted below this from Florida (USA).. Obviously custodial fathers, with no mothers in the picture whatsoever. No mention of the mothers. In fact, the idea that there ever were mothers in the picture is totally erased. No explanation as to what happened to them, whether they are dead, "missing," or stripped of custody through the courts. And both UNNAMED DADS.

Father, girlfriend detained over alleged child abuse
October 5, 2014
According to police, based on the old and new injuries found on the seven-year-old child, there was reason to believe the child had been repeatedly abused by the father and his girlfriend.
MALACCA, Oct 5 — The father of a seven-year-old girl and his girlfriend are expected to be charged for abusing the child and causing injuries at a house in Paya Rumput, here.
Melaka CID chief ACP Raja Shahrom Raja Abdullah said based on the old and new injuries found on the child, there was reason to believe the child had been repeatedly abused by the suspects.
Raja Shahrom said police were alerted of the abuse when Hanisah Abdullah, 55, the house owner where the couple and child stayed, lodged a police report at the Tanjung Minyak police station at 6.05pm on Tuesday (September 30).
“The woman, who is also the adopted grandmother of the abused child, claimed that the child was beaten with a rubber hose, shirt hanger and belt. The child was also punched and her head knocked against the wall,” he told reporters, here today.
He said following the incident, the father of the child, aged 36, and his girlfriend, 31, were detained to assist with investigations.
The suspect who worked as a security guard at a biscuit factory in Batu Berendam would be remanded for six days, while his girlfriend was released on police bail because she has a two-year-old child to feed.
Raja Shahrom said the abused child was receiving treatment at the Melaka Hospital.
Hanisah said when the couple first arrived at her house in July, the abused child had a fractured hand that was bandaged, apparently after falling from the stairway of their previous rented house in Masai, Johor.
“Though the girl did not do anything wrong, the father and his girlfriend usually beat her up, causing injuries all over her body,” said Hanisah. — Bernama

Absentee dad gains custody of kids--only to repeatedly bite and abuse them (Kuantan, Malaysia)
Father Exaltation propaganda has reached everywhere--even Malaysia.
Father Exaltation is the (undocumented) belief that a father--any father--is Absolutely Indispensable to a child's well being, and that any family that lacks a father is, by definition, inferior.
What children actually need is for their basic physical needs to be met, and good, consistent, and loving caregiving. It's really that simple. But that doesn't match anybody's political agenda, does it?
So what we end up with is an absentee father and drug addict who suddenly decides he wants to be primary parent. This is THREE YEARS AFTER the mother, their former primary caretaker who had left this deadbeat dope head, had died and left the children with her parents.
Any normal evaluation would have said these kids were better off with the grandparents, who had been providing consistent care for them over the past years. But NOOO! CHILDREN MUST HAVE THEIR DADEEEEE!!!!--or so we keep getting told over and over again.
So the children go off with the absentee/drug-addicted father, and what do you know. They are not only neglected, but UNNAMED DAD does a major freak out on them and BITES THEM ALL OVER THEIR BODIES, causing pain and swelling. Not only that, but the kids are now in counseling.
Sometimes the kids ARE better off with the grandparents, ya know? But try convincing a family court of that, which had been bombarded with fathers rights propaganda for years.

Father allegedly bit children after reunion
By T.N.Alagesh
KUANTAN: After spending more than three years living with their grandparents in Kedah, two siblings were overjoyed when their father, invited them to move in and stay with him here last month.
However, the emotional reunion instead turned into a nightmare, when their father, a former army personnel, became violent by abusing the duo - a 11-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son - at their rented room.
The suspect, believed to be a drug addict, had allegedly bit the children on numerous occasions resulting them to suffer from pain and swelling all over the body.
Their ordeal came to an end last Saturday when a neighbour who inspected the room found the duo covered with bite marks and immediately brought them to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) here for treatment.
According to a source, the siblings had moved to stay with their grandparents in Kuala Muda, Kedah after their mother, who is separated from their father, passed away some three years ago.
"Last month, the suspect informed his former father-in-law that he has secured a job in Kuantan and invited the siblings to move in with him. Convinced that the move will allow them to be reunited and stay under one roof as a family, their grandparents agreed.
"However, the children's dreams were dashed when their father abused them daily without any valid reasons and their cries of pain had caught the neighbour's attention," said the source, adding that the suspect works as a security guard at a primary school here.
The source said, when the suspect left the room last Saturday afternoon, the neighbour inspected the unit and was shocked to learn about the children's condition.
Doctors in HTAA discovered the bite marks on the siblings and their father in his 40s was later picked by the police under suspicion of child abuse.
Meanwhile, acting district welfare department officer Zalina Yusoff said the duo were sent to the Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom Children's Home in Penor on Saturday before their grandparents arrived to take them back to Kedah on Sunday afternoon.
She said although the children were now living with their grandparents, the Kuala Muda welfare department will monitor their progress and hold counselling sessions.

He was found writhing in pain with serious head injuries. He apparently suffered the injury while trying to jump over the river.
Selangor Police deputy chief DCP Datuk Abd Rahim Jaafar said the incident happened about 4.15pm.
Initial investigations showed the man had armed himself with a parang when his second daughter, aged 15, came home and heard noises coming from inside the house.
She was shocked after seeing her father acting aggressively and immediately started screaming for help.
Her brother, who had locked himself in a room at the top floor of their house shouted at her to run for her life.
The girl then managed to join her brother in the room where they locked themselves and called the police.
By the time police arrived, they found the three girls lying in a pool of blood.
The 7-year old was already dead while the other two girls were lying unconscious with numerous slash wounds.
Police then called out to the other two children who had locked themselves in their room and asked them what had happened.
The policemen then started searching for the suspect and found him not far from the house.
"We found him lying at the side of the river with severe head injuries," Rahim said, adding that the suspect was still holding a parang.
Rahim said the victims and the suspect were sent to Kajang Hospital.
It is learnt the man’s wife was away at work when the incident happened.

Daughter of abusive custodial dad speaks out (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia)
A very heartfelt, honest account. Unfortunately, the narcistic personality of this abusive custodial UNNAMED DAD is not pointed out. The "walking on eggshells" thing is CALCULATED by these guys to keep the victims in check. Notice how he was "very cool" after choking one of the girls? Also typical of the abuser. And being kind and friendly outside the home? Check. Isolating these girls and keeping them from friends? Check.. Enabling family of origin? Check.
These are all indicative of your basic sociopath, who is a pathological liar and manipulator.
But notice that these girls still believe on some level that the mother "abandoning" the home was the "spark" for his abuse. He's telling them that it's all her fault, and they are still buying this garbage. And given how sicko this daddy is, how do you think he treated the mother? I don't think she freely and willingly walked out the door. I think it is very likely--if she is alive, and that is a big "if"--that she was driven out by death threats and ongoing violence.

Child abuse: A victim speaks out
BY VICTORIA BROWN AND MICHELLE TAM
PETALING JAYA: The number of brutal domestic abuse cases reported in the media seems to be on the rise. Most recently a young girl aged just 5 lies in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital after having been viciously caned.
Tragically some victims die or are permanently damaged as a result of such traumatic abuse. Some manage to survive, leading a healthy successful life despite the scars.
We spoke to a young woman who was previously abused by her father, and she speaks out about her troubled upbringing.
Kelly (not her real name), a fresh graduate with a diploma, said that their hot-tempered father brought her and her younger sister up, after their mother abandoned the family when they were young.
His resentment over her departure may have been the spark that made their lives a living hell.
“We know that he could get very angry over small things, he would yell and say all the bad words as if I did something wrong, but I did not,” said Kelly.
“Last year, he choked my sister in the neck until she couldn’t breathe. That time I wasn’t in the house; I was in college at class.
When I came home, she was crying,” she said. “When I came back home, he was very cool, like nothing happened,” she added.
She said that after that incident she felt afraid to leave her sister at home with her father: “Every time when I leave the house I feel very scared.”
Kelly was also victim to her father’s physical abuse. In January this year, her father beat her with an umbrella after accusing her of not going to the gym.
In a separate incident, her father took a knife out and told her to kill herself in front of her sister.
“We got so scared, we didn’t know what to do. I got so shocked,” said Kelly.
Kelly and her sister tolerated the abuse that started in 2006: “For many years I stayed silent. Most people would have run away by then.”
“Outside the house, he would smile and talk like nothing happened. But in the house he would explode at us,” Kelly added.
On top of the abuse, she said that her father was very paranoid and didn’t like her going out with her friends.
“He would say, ‘Don’t go out with them, stay at home. Clean the house. Cook.’ And I would do that even though I have college, but he would never say ‘Okay, you’re doing this much of work, let’s take a day off,’” she said.
However, her unemployed father would just sit at home drinking alcohol and smoking.
“Every single day he would sit in the house, he hasn’t worked in six months,” she said, adding that her father also liked to pick fights with neighbours and friends.
“After he drinks, one day 15 bottles, he would like to fight. I don’t know what he finds in the fighting, I don’t know what makes him so satisfied,” said Kelly.
“My sister and me tried our best to stop him from smoking and taking alcohol. But he says that it’s good for his health, so we just kept silent,” she adds.
Kelly said because her father was unemployed, her allowance was once cut down to only RM5 per day. “That wasn’t even enough for transport. But I wouldn’t ask my father for more money,” she said. “I started borrowing from my friends. For my books, my equipment, my college, everything I’d borrow from my friends,” Kelly said. Kelly says that her grandparents did not help the situation because they are still supporting her father.
“He’s sitting in the house and doesn’t want to earn money, and my grandmother is giving him money every month,” said Kelly.
“He’s not shy, at fifty-years-old to take his parent’s money. He bought himself a property based on his parent’s money and I told myself that I would show him one day; I will buy myself a property by myself without his parent’s money.” “He even bought himself a 5 series BMW,” she adds. Kelly said that she was very depressed and would confide in her friends about her problems at home. Her friend then suggested that she seek shelter and advice at Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO).
“Without my friend’s help I don’t know what I’d do. I was totally lost; I couldn’t even focus on my studies. When I open my book, I see his face,” she said.
“I thank God for giving me the strength to bring my sister here, if not we would have partially died there. I would have nightmares at night and I couldn’t breathe in the house, it was choking me. The house was just covered in darkness,” adds Kelly.
She said that she kept hoping that her father would change, but he has not.
“He never apologized. He wants me to apologize; he wants me to lay myself down by his foot. He thinks he is a king, like a ruler of the ruler of the world, and he wants everyone to be his slave,” Kelly said. Kelly has been at the WAO refuge centre for quite some time and she hasn’t spoken to her father since.
“I don’t want any woman or girl to go through the same situation I’m going through,” she said.
Kelly says that women should know that they have the power to leave the relationship and that women are capable of “doing more” for themselves.
Apart from WAO providing a safe shelter for Kelly and her sister, WAO also provides free food and drink, face-to-face counselling, and help and guidance in lodging police reports.
These are all indicative of your basic sociopath, who is a pathological liar and manipulator.

Dad who repeatedly raped daughter let off by courts (Malaysia)
Shame on Judge Roy Ellis, and all the other pedo-friendly judges out there. Unfortunately, there are more of these sick freaks than the public wants to know. UNNAMED DAD.

Father who raped girl, 9, let off by courts
A young woman woman was rushed to hospital after collapsing in despair when her rapist father not only escaped jail but was let off with a good-behaviour bond.
Her father had pleaded guilty to repeatedly raping his daughter, now 19, since she was just nine years old.
The woman's lawyer, Greg Walsh, called the sentence a "political and legal disgrace".
"The justice system has failed her miserably," Mr Walsh said. He said the 19-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was in a fragile state under medical care.
It is the latest stark example of judges being out of touch with how the community expects paedophiles to be dealt with harshly.
The Daily Telegraph has launched a campaign for mandatory minimum jail sentences for all child-sex offenders - to bring the sentencing in to line with public expectations.
Acting Justice Minister Michael Gallacher said yesterday the Director of Public Prosecutions Lloyd Babb SC was reviewing the decision and "will provide advice regarding the possibility of an appeal".
"This is a shocking decision that does not reflect community expectations," Mr Gallacher said.
"The community rightly expects those who engage in child sex assault to receive a custodial sentence."
Karen Willis, of the NSW Rape Crisis Centre, said there was no legal reason incest should not be treated as seriously as any rape or sexual assault.
"If he had done this to a complete stranger it would be a different story and the world would be baying for his blood," she said.
"If someone had taken a child from the street and sexually assaulted them over years, they would be jailed."
The maximum sentence the father faced was 20 years.
"I think it is a political and legal disgrace," Mr Walsh said.
"I cannot understand. It's beyond my comprehension."
The District Court was told the man, 55, constantly abused his daughter for five years from the age of nine, sometimes in the marital bedroom with her mother in the bed.
He pleaded guilty to four representative counts of aggravated sexual assault and one of aggravated indecent assault.
Judge Roy Ellis, 59, put the man on a three-year good behaviour bond on the condition he attend a residential "treatment program" in Sydney's west for men guilty of incest.
The man will be one of the last offenders to attend the program as part of a so-called pre-diversion of offenders program which was axed by the government late last year. Nobody charged on or after September 1 last year is eligible.
"The program does not reflect community expectations and is not supported by the government. That is why the government abolished the program," Mr Gallacher said. Mr Walsh said the young woman had endured enormous suffering as a result of the "horrendous" sexual assaults and suffered from a major depressive illness.
He said the lenient sentence was the final straw.
"It was (her) understanding and natural expectation that (her father) would face a lengthy term of imprisonment for his abhorrent behaviour," Mr Walsh said. "The impact of (her) learning what happened in court was she had to be admitted on an emergency basis to her local hospital and her medical condition was exacerbated."

Dad jailed for six years for abusing 16-month-old son (Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia)
Dad is identified as TOMLI UJIN.

Abusing son: Young father jailed 6 years
Published on: Wednesday, August 08, 2012
Kota Kinabalu: A 24-year local who slapped, punched, kicked, bit and hurled his 16-month-old son on the floor as well as burnt him with cigarette butts was jailed a total of six years by the Magistrate's Court.
Magistrate Cindy Mc Juce Balitus sentenced Tomli Ujin to three years' jail on each count against him when he changed his plea and admitted to his crime, Tuesday.
However, Balitus ordered Tomli to serve the jail sentences concurrently from the date of his arrest.
On the first count, Tomli, who is currently serving sentence for taking drugs, had abused his son between June 10 and 25 in a house at Kg Tunoh, Penampang.
The offence, under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act, carries a fine of up to RM20,000 or jail term of up to 10 years, on conviction.
On the second count, he caused grievous hurt to the child at the same place and time.
In his mitigation, Tomli, who was not represented, applied for a lenient sentence, saying no one will take care of his elderly parents.
But Inspector Azaman Hamat, who prosecuted the case, urged the court to impose a heavy sentence on the grounds that it is a serious offence where a father had extremely abused his own child.
"During the crime, Tomli was also under the influence of drugs," Azaman said.
Azaman, in presenting the facts of the case, told the court that the incident came to light when the complainant of the case, Dr Vasanthakumar Selvara, was treating a child aged 16 months and found the child injured on his chest, head, left arm, both legs, stomach and backbone.
Based on the injuries suffered by the child, Dr Selva suspected the child had been abused by someone and lodged a police report.
Azaman said investigations found that Tomli, who is the victim's father, had abused his son two weeks before he was taken to hospital.
The court heard that he resorted to the abuse after his sleep was disturbed by the child's endless crying.
Azaman told the court that Tomli slapped and punched the victim's face and head and bit his right ear as well as kicked and hurled the victim on the wooden floor and against the cabinet.
The child's mother, who gave a milk bottle to the victim to stop his crying, tried to stop Tomli but to no avail.
The investigation also revealed that Tomli had squashed cigarette butts on the child's hand, palms and feet.
Azaman said the child was sent to the hospital by his grandfather a week later, after noticing the injuries suffered by the child.

Rapist dad sentenced to 33 years in jail and rotan
SHAH ALAM: A father of three who raped his 11-year-old daughter has been jailed a total of 33 years and ordered to be caned 30 times.
The 33-year-old factory worker was found guilty of three counts of raping the girl at a house in Taman Bukit Beruntung on April 14, 15 and 17, 2010.
Session Court judge Slamat Yahya in his ruling said the accused had never denied his presence in the house during the alleged incidents.
“The court finds the victim a credible witness and (who) has no reason to create stories against the accused,” he said here yesterday.
Earlier DPP Siti Syakimah Ibrahim asked the court to mete out a harsh punishment as incest was a serious crime.
“The offence not only humiliates the family but the community as well.
“The court must consider the victim who is traumatised by this episode and how it can ruin her future.
“As a father, the accused should be responsible in protecting the child,” she said.
The accused, who was unrepresented, said that he was innocent and pleaded for a lenient sentence if the court wanted to punish him.
Slamat then sentenced the accused to eight, 10 and 15 years jail for the first, second and third counts respectively.
He also sentenced the accused to 10 whippings for each count.
The jail term is to run concurrently.

The 44-year-old chemical supplier is accused of committing the offences at their home in Taman Dahlia here between 3pm and 8pm on December 28 last year.
The news portal reported he was charged in the magistrate’s court here today under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 which carries a maximum jail term of 10 years and a fine not exceeding RM20,000.
Tan, who is unrepresented, was imprisoned after he failed to meet bail conditions of RM9,000 as set by Magistrate Mohd Zamir Suhaimee.
The magistrate also fixed February 3 for mention.
The siblings were found shackled in the bathroom of their home on December 28 while their father was at work.
Neighbours who heard the children's cries called a volunteer patrol team, who alerted the police and the Welfare Department.
The Star Online reported a neighbour as saying Tan had seemed stressed ever since his Thai wife left him about a month ago.

Tan Hooi Keong pleaded not guilty to exposing his six-year-old daughter and two-year-old son to physical and emotional hurt and confining them against their will.

When daddy turns predator (Malaysia)
It's counterproductive to label many of these daddy rapists "pedophiles." Some may have a "primary" or "exclusive" interest in children. Others may just sexually abuse whatever is convenient. In the end, a child is still injured either way. Notice that FATHERS are the major category of family sexual abusers.

PAEDOPHILIA is medically defined as a psychiatric disorder in adults or late adolescents (aged 16 or older) typically characterised by a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children.
But in law enforcement in Malaysia, as in many other countries, the term paedophile refers to anyone who commits sexual crimes with legally underage victims, which means children below 18 years old.
"In Malaysia, cases involving young children are mostly incestuous. Incest has been taking up about 10 per cent of total rapes recorded yearly for the past five years," says Supt Ong Chin Lan.
Shockingly, statistics show that the one family member most likely to turn sexual predator on the children is the biological father, at a rate of two in every 10 incest cases in the last five years.
Next on the rung are uncles, followed closely by stepfathers, cousins, brothers and brothers-in-law.
Ong herself has visited some convicted fathers who were behind bars, and she found that a few, despite having served 10 to 15 years of their sentence, were "not repentant at all".
"I remember one who told me he was tired on reaching home and when he was relaxing, he saw his daughter playing in front of the house and her skirt was flouncing about; the sight aroused him so he pulled her into the bedroom. He said she didn't fight him so he took it as consent. The girl was just 7! Would she have known what was happening?" said Ong.
They even told her unashamedly that the experience was syiok and "best".
"Incest is often about abuse of power. The children are under the protection of their parents and the father is the ultimate protector, but he turned into the ultimate predator.
"So I always tell people, never think that the home is safe," adds Ong.

Girl abducted, abused by dad returned to mom in Indiana (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia)
Fascinating. Remember when you couldn't turn on the TV without hearing about poor MARK GOLDMAN and how his ex-wife had "kidnapped" their child and "alienated" the child against him? (Now Goldman and his lawyers have blocked the Brazilian grandparents from any contact with the child, but it's okay when daddies shut off all the access, right?)
Contrast Goldman with this case which involves an UNNAMED DAD who abducted his daughter and took her to Malaysia away from her American mother. Have you heard of this case before? Nope, neither have I. And I track these things. Do you see any mention of the Indiana congressional representatives going to bat for this mom? Or any Indiana senators? Or the State Department? How about the U.S. television networks. No?
Should I mention to you that I found this item in an ASIAN media outlet operating out of Singapore and not in the U.S.? What does that tell you? And notice that the alarm was NOT raised by the American government or any of its representatives but by Malaysian social service agencies, NGO's, and parents and teachers at the girl's school. THEY were the ones who noticed and acted upon the fact that this girl was constantly hungry with bruising on her arms and back. It was ONLY after the matter went to court that the U.S. Embassy flew the mother to Malaysia.

'Abused' American girl, 11, reunited with mum
New Straits Times
Fri, Mar 11, 2011
PETALING JAYA - An 11-year-old American girl, who claimed she was constantly abused by her Malaysian father, was yesterday reunited with her mother and is set to begin a new life in Indiana, United States.
The girl and her mother, a 28-year-old restaurant worker in Indiana, cried uncontrollably outside the Court for Children here when they were reunited after six years yesterday.
The mother was flown in here by the US embassy after the plight of the girl reached the courts last week.
For the past six years, the mother had been under the notion that she would never be able to see her child again. The girl was listed as "abducted" in the US.
It was alleged that the girl's father had abducted the girl after falsifying her documents and bringing her here six years ago.
The mother was contacted by the embassy here last week after the girl came to the attention of welfare authorities here and arrangements were made for the child to be reunited with her mother.
The mother has re-married and has two other children, a boy aged 7 and a 5-year-old girl.
Yesterday, after magistrate Nor Afidah Idris ordered that the girl be placed in her mother's custody, mother and daughter hugged each other tightly and cried.
The girl's father, who was present with several relatives, stood by and watched. He was later seen in a discussion with his lawyer.
Also present in court were representatives from the embassy, non-governmental organisations and several parents and teachers from the girl's school.
Counsel representing the mother and daughter, Pramodini Nair, said the girl's father was present during the closed-door proceedings.
"He did not deny he had abused his daughter. There were also several reports lodged against him over the abuses," Nair said.
The father, a computer technician who is currently unemployed, has also remarried and has four children from his second marriage.
The girl had told her teachers that she had studied in three schools in the past five years. At her last school, parents of other children started taking notice of her when they saw her eating leftovers at the canteen.
She was also seen stealing money from other children to buy food.
The school authorities were informed and after questioning the girl, they learnt that she had been abused. Marks and bruises on her arms and back convinced the school authorities that her story was true.
The school and the parent-teacher association lodged a police report before sending her for a medical examination. They also informed the Welfare Department which then got a court order last week to place the girl in a "safe house" before she could be reunited with her mother.

Fathers rights become more entrenched in "liberal" Muslim nations (Malaysia)
Malaysia was once regarded as one of the more "progressive" Muslim nations for recognizing some minimal rights for mothers and children. No more. It's all fathers rights now.

Double standards in family laws
IN THE Muslim world, Malaysia was once regarded as having the most progressive family law. Under the 1984 Islamic Family Law, divorce outside the court and polygamy without syariah court permission was outlawed.
A woman was entitled to a share of matrimonial assets even though she did not financially contribute to the acquisition. A man wanting to practise polygamy had to satisfy the court on his ability to fulfil five strict conditions. Also, the father of a child born out of wedlock was deemed responsible for the child’s maintenance.
In the 1990s, however, a different trend emerged which dismayed Muslim women activists. Initially, Muslim women were excluded from the jurisdiction of the Domestic Violence Act 1994, but the demands of women’s groups which insisted that the law must apply to all Malaysians, finally saw it being passed for both non-Muslims and their Muslim sisters.
Amendments were made in 1996 to the Insurance Act and in 2000 to the EPF, through a fatwa (decree) from the National Fatwa Council. Both monies are now regarded as part of the deceased’s estate to be divided according to faraid, the Islamic law on distribution as laid down in the Quran.
Thus a wife who is named the beneficiary of her husband’s insurance policy and his EPF is regarded merely as the administrator of his funds. If she has children, she is entitled to only one-eighth share; if she has no children, she is entitled to only half share. The rest goes to her husband’s family or to Baitulmal (the institution that acts as a trustee for Muslims) should there be no other valid heirs.
Additional amendments in 2003 to the Islamic Family Law resulted in a husband being able to claim a share of his wife’s matrimonial property upon his polygamous marriage; he could prevent his wife from disposing of her property; conditions were amended making polygamy easier; and further grounds for divorce were extended to men who already enjoyed the unilateral right to divorce their wives.
In 1996, Sisters In Islam submitted numerous recommendations to the Government to revise the family laws, among them, greater penalties for men who violate Islamic family law; provisions to ensure that all wives and their dependents are fairly and adequately provided for; the adoption of uniform laws on polygamy by all states; and gender sensitisation training for judges, religious officials and counsellors.
Up till now, despite the many suggestions and recommendations for legal reform to the discriminatory Islamic Family Law, nothing concrete has been formulated as yet.

Mom "reunited" with surviving children, after custodial dad, step "allegedly" murdered 3-year-old girl (Kampung Sungai Tiram, Malaysia)
We've posted on this case before. A sentimental opposition to cruelty to children is a lovely thing, truly. But all this fine sentiment neatly sidesteps any recognition of the patriarchal social system that refused to grant this mother initial custody (initial custody was granted to the grandfather), or that allowed the father to "take away" the children and deny the mother contact. It's just dandy that the mother has been "reunited" with two of the surviving children, but does that mean she has custody now or that she will be granted custody soon? If not, why not? Haven't these kids suffered enough?
Notice that the "alleged" killer dad suddenly loses his name here. Well here at Dastardly, we like to name names whenever possible. So here it is: NURAFIZAN LUDU.

Breaking little hearts and bodies
CHILD abuse is once again in the headlines following the recent death of a 3-year-old girl in Kampung Sungai Tiram, Johor.
A post-mortem report showed that Nur Dania Qistina Nurafizan died of internal bleeding in her lungs. She sustained 73 wounds, and had blue black marks on her chest.
Just the mention of the wounds was enough to send chills down the spines of people who read about the tragedy.
Many people felt angry too, and they quickly pointed fingers at Dania's custodians at the time.
She and her two siblings were staying at a house with their father and stepmother.
Police have so far detained the 30-year-old man and the 25-year-old woman for investigations, which have been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code as murder.
The news got worse when it was revealed that Dania's two siblings -- Nur Diana Batrisha, 5, and her 1-year-old brother, Danish Irsyad -- were also allegedly abused.
How a person could abuse a child is beyond me. Regardless of how children may act and say, they need to be protected by their parents, relatives and caretakers.
Damage has already been done, as the surviving siblings of Dania will take a long time to recover from the psychological trauma.
Though their physical scars may heal, it is their psyche that is most affected. The children need to be counselled in order for them to trust adults again.
For now, we can find comfort in the knowledge that the children's mother, Nur Aquilla Razali, 27, has been reunited with the two children.
Nur Aquilla was unaware of her children's whereabouts for three months after her husband took them away from their grandparents' home in Tenggaroh, Mersing.
A news report indicated that the couple were separated.
Nur Aquilla only found out about her children's whereabouts after hearing about Dania's death on Jan 9.
Whatever the outcome of the investigation, it is heartbreaking and sad to think of what happened to Dania. Her memory lies with her family, who remember her as a friendly and loving child.
The painful thing about child mortalities, especially if they occur in tragic circumstances, is it reminds us of the many "what ifs".
What if Dania lived a long and prosperous life? She may have been a doctor, painter, lawyer or even a prime minister.
What if she were better taken care of by the adults around her? This poses the question of what went wrong. Some cases of child abuse are mind-boggling because the children in question are placed in the most dangerous situations.
I do not claim to be an expert on raising children or on child care, but I do know it is inhuman and wrong to hurt innocent children.
Children are supposed to be cared for by their custodians.
Children are sometimes naughty and loud, as my limited experience with my nephews and nieces has taught me. But that is part of their nature.
Their naughtiness and cheekiness are part of their innocence. Their wonder of the world lead them to provoke and joke and make fun of every day things.
To children, the world is a wonderful place holding many promises.
Adults like me tend to view the world differently, as our child-like wonder erodes over the years.
In terms of disciplining children, my friends who are parents say it is necessary to be firm. Yes, spanking and caning is allowed to instil discipline. God knows, I have received such corporal punishment during my childhood.
But there is a big difference between imposing punishment and hurting a child.
We still do not know for how long Dania was physically abused as she had sustained those 73 wounds.
But one thing's for sure: as a tiny 3-year-old girl, she was powerless to protect herself against any physical abuse.
She and her siblings were probably scared and there was no way they could have asked for help. Their trust in adults may have been shattered after they were abused.
It pains us to think of what may have happened in the house that Dania lived in.
All we know is that we would not want such things to happen to our children, or any other child ever again.

Mom wants custody back of surviving children after 3-year-old daughter dies in home of custodial father (Johor Baharu, Malaysia)
I am unable to copy any part of this article, but custodial dad NURAFIZAN LUDU and the charming step have both been arrested after police determined that his 3-year-old daughter didn't die by drowning in a pail of water, but from repeated blunt force trauma. Authorities counted some 73 bruises on the child in all.
Unlike most of the western press, this article explains the custodial situation that set up this "alleged" murder. Moms don't really get custody in Malaysia, see. It's called institutionalized patriarchy (fathers rights). After the couple separated, the grandfather took over the care of the couples' three children. After Grandpa was unable to continue for health reasons, Dad took over last October. He quickly cut off all contact with the mother (stardard modus operandi for abuser daddies). Three months later, the 3-year-old daughter is dead. In addition, it appears that her other two siblings had been physically abused.
Mom would like to get custody back of the two surviving children now. Good luck with that....

'Uncaring' dad gets death for killing son
Sat, Dec 18, 2010
New Straits Times
SHAH ALAM - An odd-job labourer was sentenced to death by the High Court here yesterday for killing his 2-year-old son more than three years ago. Murthy Muthu, 32, was found guilty of murdering M. Ruthren at their home in Jalan Sungai Pinang, Klang, at 4.15pm on Jan 20, 2007.
The father of seven did not show any emotion when High Court judge Datuk Mohtaruddin Baki passed sentence.
In his judgent, Mohtaruddin said the defence had failed to raise a reasonable doubt on the prosecution's case on several grounds.
He said Murthy, in his defence, claimed that Ruthren had a bout of epilepsy on the day of the incident but failed to send him to hospital for treatment.
Murthy had testified that he did not file a police report fearing that he would be sent to prison again, having just been released for an unspecified crime.
"If you claim to be a caring and responsible father, why were you sitting in the living room and smoking away while your son was having an epileptic seizure?
"That is not a sign of a caring father."
Mohtaruddin said the defence's case had only come about as an afterthought since the claim that Ruthren had suffered a seizure was never mentioned during the prosecution stage of the trial.
Although the cause of death was not fully ascertained because of the decomposed state of the body, the coroner did find the child's nose to be broken and his hips swollen as stated in the post-mortem report, the judge said.
"This corroborates with the testimony of Murthy's wife that her son was stepped on the head by Murthy as he laid in a drain outside the house.
"The accused has been proven to be a temperamental person based on the testimony of witnesses."
Twenty-one witnesses gave evidence at the trial.

Dad bit 3-month-old daughter because wife "refused to obey his order" (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
In case you were ever confused about the links between child abuse and the coercive control of women, this will make it clear for you. Dad M ZAIRE repeatedly bit his 3-month-old daughter--all because his wife "refused to obey his order." As usual, these idiots feel completely entitled--poor Daddy was "upset" so that's supposed to explain everything. I suppose it's a waste of time to explain to scum like this that it's not your job to "order" anybody. And you certainly have no business biting infants. No doubt this poor mother has been subjected to abuse as well.

Zaire, a father of three, reportedly told the court that he became angry with his wife after she refused to obey his order to fill a flask with water for him.
