Dad, girlfriend charged with assaulting 4-year-old boy; protective mom's previous allegations of abuse ignored (Cleveland, Ohio)

As usually happens, the custody arrangement is not explained. We don't know if the father had full custody, or if he just had occasional visitation. At any rate, it appears to be court-ordered, as it is over the objections of the protective mother, whose previous allegations of abuse were disbelieved/ignored. Unfortunately, due to the abuser father-friendly family courts, a 4-year-old boy is now in critical condition. SO WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR FORCING THIS BOY INTO THE HANDS OF THESE NITWITS? Let's see the name of the family court judge.

Dad and girlfriend charged with assaulting 4-year-old boy in Cleveland

CLEVELAND - A father and his girlfriend have been arrested after a 4-year-old boy was taken to the hospital unconscious.

Police said they responded to a local pediatric intensive care unit on Friday for a reported child abuse case.

Hospital staff said the boy was brought in unconscious and in critical condition

Police began to work with a social worker who stated the child was brought in by his father, 32-year-old Michael Reece and his girlfriend, 29-year-old Crystal Anderson.

Anderson reported to police she was giving the child a bath and wanted to smoke a cigarette, so she emptied the bath tub and left a little bit of water so the boy could play.

She said while smoking a cigarette, she heard a “thump” in the bathroom and found the boy unresponsive, according to police.

The boy’s father was called and he drove the child to the hospital at about 12:20 p.m. on Friday.

Hospital staff said the boy had food on his face from breakfast and he was dirty, making them believe he was not given a bath.

Prior abuse of the boy by Anderson was alleged by the child’s mother.

When officers went to the home to arrest Reece and Anderson, police said they were found hiding in a bedroom.

They have been charged with Felonious Assault and Endangering Children.
