After hours of talking to two detectives, a New Braunfels man eventually told them that he might have shaken his 7-week-old son and might have caused the boy’s severe injuries, according to evidence presented Wednesday in a Comal County court.
Aaron Corbell, 30, faces three first-degree and four third-degree felonies in connection with injuries that required his son to be put on life-support last year after the child passed out and threw up while in Corbell’s care at their New Braunfels home. During a recorded interview he had at the New Braunfels Police Department, Corbell told Det. David Schroeder that his son was yelling and he took the boy in the shower hoping the steam would open the baby’s sinuses before he shook the boy for a split second.
