LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police say a 23-year-old father is accused of murder by child abuse in the death of his baby boy earlier this week.

Authorities say Cornelio Rodriguez-Gonzalez was arrested in the infant's death and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

Police say they were called Tuesday afternoon and told of an unresponsive 8-month-old boy at a home on Dwarf Star Lane, near Lake Mead and Lamb boulevards.

The boy was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.

He's been identified as Raymond Rodriguez-Gonzalez.
