Dad charged with "accidentally" shooting 5-year-old son during "domestic dispute" (New Orleans, Louisiana)
I don't consider it an "accident" if you're waving around your gun and firing it during an argument with your wife.
Dad is identified as PHONG C. NGUYEN. Just goes to show how domestic violence and child abuse go hand in hand.

New Orleans police have arrested the man who is accused of accidentally shooting his 5-year-old son during a domestic dispute on Sunday night in eastern New Orleans, according to court records.
Phong C. Nguyen, 34, was booked on charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and second-degree cruelty to juveniles. Bond was set at $80,000, according to court records.
At an initial court appearance on Monday, an Orleans Parish magistrate also issued a domestic "stay away" order, which is typically in place until legal proceedings are complete.
Just before 8 p.m. at his home in the 4700 block of Sherwood Drive, Nguyen allegedly fired his gun during an argument with his wife. The bullet went through the wall and hit the boy, who was in a different room in the house.
The boy was shot in the side and leg, police said. He was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery.
Nguyen was on the scene Sunday night when officers responded to the shooting, according to police.
He was previously arrested on a charge of illegal possession of a stolen automobile in 2003, but court records show the charges were refused.
