Dad charged in shooting of 10-year-old son, 12-year-old daughter; son dead, daughter "recovering" (Coldspring, Texas)

We first posted on dad PREDRAG PERISIC yesterday. Now we find more details about the custody issues that were in play before Dad "allegedly" murdered his son and wounded his daughter. Notice that for all the fathers rights emphasis on "shared" or "joint" custody, this father had no desire to share all. By gum it, if he didn't have total control of the kids, shutting off all contact with the mother, then he'd just eliminate them. In this case, the courts acted too late. Granting the mother custody (and for obviously good reason) was not going to help when a homicidal "at risk" father already had "possession" and wasn't about to give up that "possession."

I'm also curious as to how this father was able to enter the U.S. with these children. With all the Hague convention harrassment that mothers are experiencing these days, how was he able to get these kids across the border into Texas?

A former Montreal man has been charged with murder after his son and daughter were shot at his home in Texas.

Predrag Perisic has been charged in connection to the death of his son, 10-year-old Deyan, who died Monday in Coldspring, near Houston.

Deyan's 12-year-old sister, Danyela, is recovering in hospital from gunshot wounds.

The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Department said the shooting happened Monday when officers were entering the home to arrest Perisic on charges of child custody interference.

Police heard gunshots from the second floor and found two children bleeding.

Both children were transported to hospital, where Deyan was pronounced dead and Danyela was listed in stable condition.

Perisic, who was supposed to return the children to his estranged wife in Montreal, was taken into custody.

According to a document obtained by the CBC, Perisic had violated an order by the Quebec Superior Court awarding custody to the children's mother.

While living in Texas with the children, he was ordered to return them to their mother in early November, but failed to and disappeared with the children until police found him Monday in Coldspring.

The photos of both children had been put on several missing children websites, with their well-being considered in danger.

The children's mother, Montrealer Vera Vucerakovich, reportedly travelled from Montreal to Texas on Tuesday
