LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man is now behind bars after being accused of molesting his adopted children for seven years.

Henrique Cruz, 59, was arrested Monday after a warrant was issued. The adoptive mother said in court records that one of her daughters told her in February that her ex-husband, the children's adoptive father, had repeatedly touched the child's breasts and private area.

The daughter said the abuse started in 2002 and continued until she moved away in 2009. The mother notified Child Protective Services who then began their investigation. In the court documents, it states the mother confronted Cruz about the allegations and he said they were true. She says Cruz admits that he had done the same things to his other daughter, and that he admitted to molesting all of his children over the years.

According to CPS, the couple adopted four daughters.

Cruz is currently in the Lubbock County Jail with a recommended bond is $150,000.
