"Stay-at-home dad" convicted of molesting, making child porn; despite being registered sex offender, CPS said dad was "no risk" (Antioch, California)

What the hell? As soon as you figure CPS can't get any stupider, they pull something so boneheaded that you're left truly breathless.

We have a "stay-at-home" dad named KEVIN SCOTT MUELLER who was CONVICTED of child molestation back in 1989. Mueller becomes a registered sex offender as a result. So in 2008, when a team of police officers were doing compliance checks, they discover that this creep had 7.000 child porn pictures on his computer in addition to six videos.

Also seems this creep had in his possesion a little girl, whom he had molested for 4 YEARS, or from the age of 5. Is he the "stay-at-home" father to his own daughter? Or is this a foster child? It's not clear to me.

But it seems that just one year before, CPS has investigated Mueller and decided he "posed no threat to this girl." WTF????

And where is this girl's mother? Not one word.

INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

MARTINEZ -- An Antioch man was sentenced Monday to 135 years to life in prison for molesting and taking pornographic images of a young girl.

Kevin Scott Mueller, 54, was convicted by a jury in September of eight felony charges for sex acts on a child and two felony child pornography charges for sexually abusing a girl over fours years beginning when she was 5.

The abuse came to light in 2008 when a team of Contra Costa County officers were making compliance checks on registered sex offenders and found 7,000 pictures and six videos of child pornography on Mueller's computer, prosecutor Johanna Schonfield said.

Mueller, a stay-at-home father, was convicted of child molestation in Nevada in 1989. The molestations from the newest convictions started a year after Contra Costa County Child Protective Services investigated Mueller and determined he posed no risk to the girl.
