Twin babies "allegedly" beaten by dad remain hospitalized (San Antonio, Texas)

We first reported on dad ADRIAN MALDONADO, JR. just recently. His twin babies are still hospitalized in critical condition after daddy "allegedly" administered a "brutal" beating. No word about the mom here.

SAN ANTONIO -- Two babies less than 2 months old are being treated for serious injuries while their father is under arrest on child-injury charges.

Police say the infants suffered a brutal beating over the weekend at the hands of Adrian Maldonado, Jr.

The infants were rushed Saturday to a hospital emergency room, suffering from brain injuries. Investigators say one of the girls had a skull fracture and evidence of previous head trauma.

The babies are now in critical but stable condition at University Hospital. Maldonado is charged with two counts of injury to a child.
