Dad arrested for child abuse, domestic batter after baby's leg broken (Reno, Nevada)

Dad TERRANCE REED SMITH has been charged with child abuse and domestic battery for "allegedly" breaking the leg of his infant daughter. Another case where Daddy had been alone with the baby.

Reno man arrested for child abuse, domestic battery after infant's leg broken

A 32-year-old Reno man was jailed on charges he allegedly battered and abused his infant daughter, Reno police said.

Terrance Reed Smith was booked Tuesday into the Washoe County Jail on suspicion of domestic battery and child abuse. He remained in custody Wednesday in lieu of $6,772 bail.

Authorities said the baby’s mother Tuesday morning had taken the child to Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center after she seemed to be in pain. Doctors determined the child had an injury to her leg that was consistent with child abuse, according to a police report.

Detectives allege Smith had been alone with the child just prior to her mother taking over her care. Smith was arrested following an interview with detectives.
