Trial date set for man charged with molesting family members (Lexington, Missouri)

At least one member of the Mohler tribe will be going to trial in January. Times have yet to be set for the others.

Jan. trial date set for Jared Mohler in sex case

LEXINGTON, Mo. -- A January trial date has been set for one of six Missouri men accused of molesting young family members more than two decades ago.

Jared Mohler is scheduled for trial Jan. 31, 2011, in Lafayette County Circuit Court. The 49-year-old is charged with three counts of rape, one count of sodomy and three counts of using a child in a sexual performance.

He and his brother, 54-year-old Burrell Mohler Jr., appeared in court Monday. Jared Mohler is free on bond. Burrell Mohler Jr. remains in custody.

Burrell Mohler Jr. will appear in court July 6 to set a trial date on three counts of rape, three counts of using a child in a sexual performance and one count of deviate sexual assault.

Their father, uncle and two brothers also face rape and other charges in the case.
