Dad arrested for beating 4-year-old daughter (Sparks, Nevada)

Dad CRAIG JENNINGS has been charged with child abuse and domestic battery in the beating of his 4-year-old daughter, who was then apparently left alone when Dad "left the scene."

Officials say a 48-year-old Sparks man beat his four-year-old daughter and then left the scene of the alleged crime.

Washoe County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to the child abuse call on Heritage Drive in Sun Valley at about 11 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies found the four year old female victim, with several visible injuries at the residence, officials said.

The victim's father, Craig Jennings, had left, but was later located at a residence in Sparks, where he was taken into custody, sheriff's office officials said.

The victim was examined and treated for her injuries and is in good condition, according to officials.

Jennings was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility for child abuse and domestic battery. His bail was set at $50,000.
