Dad arrested for molesting 2 daughters over past 7 years (Murietta, California)

Dad AHMAD ZIA HAMID has been arrested and jailed on child molestation charges. His two daughters say that he has been molesting them for the past 7 years. The mother moved the children out of the home because she feared retaliation from the father and any further contact with him.

Murrieta girls tell of abuse, dad arrested

A 48-year-old father has been jailed on suspicion of molesting his two young daughters during the past seven years, according to Murrieta police.

Ahmad Zia Hamid was arrested at 10 a.m. Thursday and booked for investigation of molesting a child under age 14, continuous sexual abuse of a child and three other sex-related crimes, jail records show. Hamid is being held without bail at Southwest Detention Center.

The allegations were made May 3, investigators said in a written statement.

“The victims stated their father has been inappropriately touching and molesting them for seven years,” according to the statement. “The mother … moved the children out of their Murrieta home because they feared retaliation from their father and to avoid any further contact with him.”

Investigators found and arrested Hamid in San Diego.
