Dad convicted of 1st-degree murder in death of 8-month-old son (Burnsville, Minnesota)
I know we've posted on dad JASON HUMMEL before, because the story sounds awful familiar.
Well, nobody can say this @$$wipe "snapped" with no warning. He has a long history of domestic violence and child abuse, as documented below. Of course, Daddy was "home alone" with the baby--at least until the baby was dead. Then this coward took off. Now he'll be staying in one place for a while, that place being prison--for life.

Father Sentenced To Life In Prison For Son's Death
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) ―
Father Arrested In 8-Month-Old Son's Death (8/24/2009)
A Burnsville father has been sentenced to life in prison for the death of his 8-month-old son. Jesse Hummel, 30, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for allegedly killing his son Jaden Zander Hummel.
Prosecutors were able to use Hummel's history of abuse to charge him with first-degree murder before convening a grand jury.
According to court papers filed in Hennepin County, Hummel was home alone with Jaden at a Bloomington apartment located on the 800 block of West 106th Street on Aug. 22, 2009.
Hummel was supposed to be taking care of Jaden, but when the boy's mother came home from shopping, the door was locked and Hummel was gone.
When the mother found Jaden in his crib, he was cold to the touch and bluish in color.
The criminal complaint said the mother immediately ran to her door, screaming "he killed my baby, he killed my baby."
The mother called 911 and when paramedics arrived the child's death was confirmed.
Officers spent the day searching for Hummel, and later that evening found him hiding underneath a tree. Hummel refused to surrender himself, so he was apprehended with the aid of K-9s.
An autopsy shows Jaden had numerous bruises on his head and neck as well as broken blood vessels in his brain. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said he died of "complex homicidal violence."
Hummel's criminal record shows he was convicted of domestic assault in 1999, malicious punishment of his oldest child (by a different woman) in 2002, and trying to strangle Jaden's mother in 2006.
