Wis. man to plead guilty to sex-trafficking charge
Associated Press - September 11, 2009 2:15 PM ET
Court records released Thursday say 19-year-old Nicholas Harrison agreed to plead guilty to one charge of sex trafficking of a child. In return, prosecutors will drop four related charges.
Harrison will face a prison sentence of 10 years to life. He could also be fined $250,000, although prosecutors will recommend a $1,000 fine.
The criminal complaint says Harrison and his father recruited teenage girls as young as 16 to be prostitutes.
Defense attorney Stephen M. Govin said Friday that Harrison takes responsibility for his actions.
A sentencing date has not been set.
The father, 39-year-old Todd Carter, faces similar charges.
