Dad punches son in mouth for "doing the laundry on the wrong day" (Eau Claire, Wisconsin)

Dad JERRY O'GRADY is charged with child abuse after his son's orthodontist notices that the boy has a bleeding lip and damaged braces. It seems dad came home drunk, found something utterly stupid to get mad about (doing the laundry on the "wrong day"???), and then punched his kid in the mouth. [I'd be thrilled if my kids did the laundry on ANY day, but maybe that's just me.]

Eau Claire (WQOW) - An Eau Claire man is charged with child abuse after an orthodontist calls him in. The criminal complaint says police were recently called after a teenager went to an orthodontist with a bleeding lip and damaged braces. The teen told police his dad, Jerry O'Grady, came home smelling like beer and started yelling at him for doing the laundry on the wrong day. A scuffle followed and the teen says his dad punched him in the mouth. When police talked to O'Grady he had cuts on his hand and police say he told them he accidentally hit the boy.

O'Grady will be back in court next month.
