Dad "accidentally" shoots and kills 8-year-old son during visitation (Bennetsville, South Carolina)
Note to NRA: It's not just "good guys" or "bad guys" with guns. It's also dumbf****s who apparently don't understand that you don't clean loaded rifles around kids.
But notice that this particular dumbf*** dad was able to get visitation with his kid just fine.
Seems we set the bar pretty low for both gun ownership and fathers rights in this country. And this is the result.

A baby in Providence was injured 50 times in one week, and now her father is being charged with murder.
Christopher Jiminez said he didn't do anything on purpose, pleading not guilty in court, Wednesday, to beating his five week old daughter to death. She suffered from broken bones, skull fractures and brain swelling.
"Those injuries include at least four skull fractures, 27 rib fractures, clavicle and pelvis fractures, two arm fractures, six leg fractures, a liver laceration," said prosecutor Shannon Signore in court.
Signore said little Christina had a total of 50 injuries from repeated incidents over the first few weeks of her life. She was only alive eight weeks when her heart stopped. Her family told ABC6, in the past, it was all a mistake.
"It's very, very hard because we love the child," said grandfather Maures Gonzalez, "That's what we believe. It was an accident."
But doctors said with the extent of those injuries, that's tough to believe.
"They're common in the setting of motor vehicle crashes, real significant falls from heights, but no those are not injuries we see commonly when children are injured accidentally," said Hasbro Children's Hospital Physician Amy Goldberg.
Jiminez did give a statement back in June admitting to causing some of the infant's injuries, saying he placed her back in her crib barely breathing. Child abuse experts said cases like this aren't rare.
"Unfortunately it is more prevalent than some would think," said RI Kids Count Executive Director Elizabeth Burke Bryant, "These are just shocking, shocking cases and they defy one's comprehension of how children in this state and even across the country can be harmed and killed and even severely injured."
31–hundred children were abused in Rhode Island in 2011. Most of them were babies like Christina. As for Jiminez, the judge ordered him held without bail. The baby's mom also faces charges of cruelty and neglect.

DEARBORN, Mo. — A father and son from Dearborn, Mo., are out on bond after they were charged last week with having sex with the same child.
Anthony Paden, 25, and his father, Darren Paden, 50, were released after their $150,000 cash bonds were posted by two different people.
Both Padens are charged with Statutory Sodomy in the 1st degree and Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a person less than 14 years old.
According to court documents, the victim says the abuse began in 2001 when she was 5 years old. She told police that she watched pornographic movies at the elder Paden’s home and was forced to perform sex acts.
The girl says the abuse continued for about eight more years. Then when she was in the 7th grade, she says a school resource officer discussed the topic of sexual abuse and she said she realized then that she was a victim.
According to the probable cause statement, the victim said that Anthony Paden knew about his father’s abuse of her and began forcing her to perform sex acts when he babysat her.
The father and son are scheduled to be back in court on Feb. 15th.

Father from Florida Leaves Infant at Strip Club
Kenneth Rowe, Jr. probably will not win father of the year awards anytime soon after what he did recently in Daytona Beach, Florida. His story involves his infant baby, cigarettes and a strip club. Rowe has been accused of leaving his two-month-old son in a liquor store and strip club, according to police.
Rowe, 26, was already drunk when he arrived at the Shark Lounge and Liquor Store. Upon his arrival, he told the clerk inside to watch his son while he went to go smoke. In a report from WESH-TV, Rowe promised the clerk that he just wanted to go outside and smoke and would be right back inside.
When 15 minutes went by and Rowe was nowhere in sight, the owner of the establishment called the police. Daytona Beach’s Police Chief, Mike Chitwood, said, “You’ve got a two-and-a-half-month-old out on a freezing cold night and you just take this baby out at 11:30 at night because you want to go to a dancing bar?”
Employees of the establishment and the owner decided to perform a little vigilante justice while waiting for police to arrive as they chased Rowe and brought him back to where his son was waiting.
“He asked her if she could hold the baby for a few minutes, and then we had to go and chase him down to get him to come back into the store to pick up his child. He’s severely intoxicated.”
The baby was returned to the father by the employees and he tried to escape and elude the police, but was discovered hiding in the bushes when the baby began to cry. According to authorities, Rowe and his wife are transients from Illinois. The couple has been living in a local motel. Rowe was charged with child neglect. The baby has been returned to the mother following the incident with the father.
