Stepdad found guilty in son's torture death (Buffalo, New York)
The first paragraph makes it sound like step daddy ALI-MOHAMED MOHAMUD just bopped the kid over the head with a rolling pin.
Uh no. He TORTURED THIS POOR BOY TO DEATH. The boy's injuries were so severe that he had a least 4 injuries that by themselves could have been fatal.
Typical media minimization of male violence. All while Mom was at work on a double shift to support this killer's lazy lying @$$.

NY stepfather guilty in son's beating death

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A jury Thursday convicted a New York father of second-degree murder for shattering his 10-year-old stepson's skull with a rolling pin, rejecting defense claims that he was just trying to get the child to do homework and didn't mean to kill him.
A state Supreme Court jury in Buffalo deliberated about three hours before finding Ali-Mohamed Mohamud guilty.
"Justice has been done," prosecutor Thomas Finnerty said. In closing arguments earlier, he'd mocked the idea that there was no intent to cause death, a key element for a second-degree murder conviction.
"How about intent to slaughter?" Finnerty asked.
With the mother of victim Abdifatah Mohamud and other relatives crying quietly in the courtroom, the prosecutor had walked jurors through the prolonged and grisly killing that occurred in the family's basement April 17 while the boy's mother worked the second shift cleaning offices in downtown Buffalo.
After the boy known as Abdi had tried to run away, Mohamud stabbed him with a kitchen knife, tried to drown him in the bathroom and brought him into the basement where he gagged him with a sock and duct tape, bound his hands with an electrical cord and struck him nearly 70 times with a hardwood rolling pin, stopping only when the child was obviously dead on the floor.
Finnerty recounted a medical examiner's testimony that Abdi suffered four lethal injuries among damage covering his entire body, including a blow to the head that had "internally decapitated" him, separating the skull from the spinal column.
The child's mother, Shukri Bile, gave birth to Abdi while living at a refugee camp in Uganda, having fled violence in Somalia that killed her older children's father. Bile and her children arrived in Buffalo in 2004, where Bile met Mohamud, who also is from Somalia.
"Why did he lose control?" Mohamud's attorney Kevin Spitler asked during closing arguments. "He just wanted his son to succeed. He just wanted his son to be ready for that state-mandated test. He just wanted his son to do his schoolwork. He just wanted him to be educated."
"Good reason to fall into that rage? No," Spitler said. But without an intent to kill, the lawyer told jurors, they should acquit Mohamud.
"It's a very sad and tragic case," Spitler said after the verdict. He said he would appeal.
After killing Abdi, Mohamud waited for Bile to return home and told her Abdi had run away. He went to The Buffalo News, where he worked as a security guard, and was arrested there after police responding to Bile's missing child report found Abdi's body in the blood-spattered basement.
Mohamud faces up to 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 15.

Dad gets 6 years in jail for killing 3-year-old daughter (Auckland, New Zealand)
Typical fawning over a killer dad. He was "frustrated," he didn't know his own strength, he's really a "good man," blah blah.
Yup. This is the same dude who swung his his 3-year-old daughter INTO A WALL, then STOMPED ON HER PELVIS. Good man my @$$. Is that how low we set the bar for "good men" these days? He's "good" because he didn't then stomp on her skull or throw her off a bridge? I am totally sick of all the people making excuses for and minimizing male violence, especially against children.
Very rarely see this with mothers who kill, who are treated as the very Embodiment of Evil Incarnate.
Dad is identified as KEFU IKAMANU.

Father jailed over child's death
Updated at 7:17 pm on 19 October 2012
An Auckland man has been sentenced to six years and nine months jail for the manslaughter of his three-year-old daughter, who he'd thrown against a wall.
Kefu Ikamanu was found guilty of manslaughter and causing grievous bodily harm at a jury trial in August, but acquitted of murder.
Seini Ikamanu was admitted to hospital in March 2010 with severe injuries to her head, shoulder and pelvis.
She spent eight months being treated by doctors before dying in December.
Justice Venning told the High Court in Auckland Ikamanu became angry at his daughter when she was playing with her brother, grabbed her by the arm and swung her against a wall, before stomping on her pelvis.
He says the incident was a one-off and out of character, caused by Ikamanu's frustrations at his daughter and was one that he almost immediately regretted.
Justice Venning says Ikamanu did not know his own strength, the consequences of his actions and that they would cause the child's death.
Ikamanu's lawyer says the man faces deportation to Tonga once his prison sentence is completed.
His relatives say they trust him to be with his children again.
His wife and the mother of Seini, Sela Ikamanu, says she knows what her husband did was wrong, but he is a good man and of good character.
She says he will be welcomed back into the family when he is released from jail.
Meanwhile his laywer, Simon Lance, is considering appealing the conviction for grievous bodily harm.

Custodial dad murders three, including the mother of their daughter (Casselberry, Florida)
You can never make a terrorist happy.
Contrary to what the fathers rights people tell us about these "vengeful" dads, dad BRADFORD BAUMET HAD CUSTODY of his daughter. Mom did not.
So was Daddy satisfied? Why would a father with a violent criminal record (including domestic violence, felony assault, stalking, trespassing, burglary, and drug possession) be satisfied with just child custody? Must have more!!!
So the sh** randomly murdered three women, and critically wounded the mother of his child.
Never enough abuse and control in this world, eh? He'd stripped Mom of her daughter, but not enough punishment, eh?
So much for poor daddies being discriminated against by the family courts or anybody else in authority. This daddy had a violent criminal record, and he had no problems.
SO WHO GAVE HIM CUSTODY? LET'S SEE THE NAMES.
Also notice that Mom was unable a domestic violence injunction in a timely manner. Typical of the contempt with which the legal system treats women.
And notice how the cops trivialize a triple homicide/massacre by calling it a "domestic dispute"--as if a couple of people were having an argument about who forgot to put the cap on the toothpaste. Disgusting. But typical of Florida.

Domestic Dispute Center Of 3 Fatal Killings At Hair Salon
Oct 19, 2012
By Ruth Manuel-Logan
Bradford Baumet walked in to a Casselberry, Fla., hair salon on Thursday and shot four women, including one who was pregnant. Baumet then escaped to a friend’s home, turned the gun on himself, and took his own life, reports the Huffington Post.
Baumet reportedly entered the Dominicanas M & M Hair Salon in Casselberry shortly before 11 a.m. with a gun. The 36-year-old opened fire, killing three women, 45-year-old Eugenia Marte, the salon co-owner; 52-year-old Gladys Cabrera, a customer; and 28-year-old Noelia Gonzalez-Brito, a salon employee who was five-months pregnant.
There were two other salon patrons who managed to escape the shooting. One hid in the bathroom, and the other ran out the back door.
The gunman’s fourth victim, who was shot five times and is listed in critical condition, was his ex-girlfriend, Marcia Santiago, the salon’s manager. According to Santiago’s ex-husband, William Ayala, she had a daughter with Baumet and the child lived with him.
Ayala also went on to state that Baumet was “violent and had a criminal record,” according to the Huffington Post. Reportedly, Baumet had a record of arrests involving domestic violence, felony assault, stalking, trespassing, burglary, and drug possession. He had also been jailed as recently as October 14th in Orange County on a driving-with-a-suspended-license charge. He was released after spending one day in jail after posting a $250 bond.
Ironically, Baumet was served with a domestic violence injunction on Oct. 9th and scheduled to be in court on Thursday for a hearing with Santiago. Marte also filed an injunction against Baumet because he had come to her salon two weeks prior to the shooting, threatening her and punching the front door. She claimed in the court document that he also threatened her husband.
After the shooting, which police investigators are labeling a “domestic dispute,” Baumet reportedly went to a friend’s house located about four miles from the salon and informed them that he had some problems. Baumet then suddenly shot himself and died from self-inflicted gun shot wounds.
The case is still being investigated by Casselberry police.

Dad is now a suspect in the murder of 4-year-old son; also charged in rape of ex-girlfriend in front of his 1-year-old daughter (Reynoldsburg, Ohio)
Dad ALFRED HILL sure sounds like one useless scumbag. And that's being kind. "Allegedly" killed his 4-year-old son, "allegedly" raped his ex-girlfriend in front of his 1-year-old daughter, then "allegedly" held them hostage for 14 hours. This piece of sh** needs to be put down like the rabid dog he is.

Fireman kicks suicidal "jumper" father holding toddler son back through window (Xining, China)
Big time Daddy Drama. Suicidal Daddy threatens to jump out of 4-story window with 2-year-old son. Like a lot of these would-be murder-suicides, he was supposedly "depressed" and had gone through a "fight" with his wife. (Meaning, that he was a typical narcissist/drama queen who had to "punish" mom for not giving in to his demands). Negotiators couldn't end the standoff.
Fortunately, a fireman was able to rappel down from the roof and kick Daddy's @$$ back inside.

Flying kick from abseiling fireman saves suicidal father and his toddler
Published: 6 hrs ago
A SUICIDAL father was saved from jumping to his death with a toddler in his arms - as an abseiling fireman KICKED him back inside the window.
Emergency workers spotted the weeping man sitting on his fourth-storey window ledge clutching a small child in his arms.
Firemen laid an inflatable mattress below as colleagues tried to talk him out of jumping.
After an hour of negotiations failed, an abseiler slid down the side of the apartment block and forced the man back inside the flat with a flying kick.
Seconds earlier another abseiler had gone in by a different window and together the rescuers snatched up the two-year-old and carried the tot away to safety.
The child's father is believed to have had a fight with his wife and was said to be depressed.
The spectacular rescue was filmed by stunned onlookers in Xining in northern China.

Dad, step charged with 2nd-degree murder in death of 4-year-old son (Holt, Missouri)
As too often happens, the custody arrangement is NOT explained. We have no idea WHY the sicko daddy and step had access to this child, or HOW MUCH access they have been granted. So obviously, we don't know WHO gave them custody/visitation either.
Nor do we know about the mother. The article has erased her out of existence. Whevever you have a violent father/step, especially when they are suspected of homicide, you must ask what happened to the mother. Is she dead? Under what circumstances? Is she alive? Do we know that for a fact? Has she "disappeared"?

Father and Stepmother Arrested for Child’s Death
Posted on: 10:40 am, October 18, 2012, by Michelle Pekarsky, updated on: 04:06pm, October 18, 2012
HOLT, Mo. – Police announced Thursday that they arrested the father and stepmother of a four-year-old boy, who died Monday.
An ambulance was called to the family residence on Monday afternoon for an unresponsive child. Lucas Webb, 4, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy determined Lucas died from blunt-force trauma to the abdomen.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department and the Northwest Major Case Squad arrested Justin R. Webb, 34, and Melissa D. Webb, 32, both of Holt.
Both father and stepmother have been charged with the Class A felony of murder in the second degree.
The coroner says the trauma happened to Lucas 12 to 24 hours before he died, and police believe it was Lucas’ stepmother who did it.
According to officers, back on August 24, Lucas also said his stomach hurt because his stepmother kicked him while she was mad. The autopsy shows he had prior injuries of fractured and separated ribs that occurred about six to eight weeks ago.
“First they said Clinton County, and then they said Holt and I’m like Oh my God Holt, no way, and then to just find out it’s down the street from where I live, that’s just, I can’t even believe it. I can’t,” said one neighbor.
Both Webbs are being held on half a million dollars cash bond.
