Custodial dad beats infant daughter, sends photos to mother and threatens to kill baby if mother asks for custody (Hangzhou, China)

Father who beat baby daughter and sent pictures of her injuries to ex-wife arrested in China Man assaulted child and threatened to kill her if mother asked for custody, according to news website report

A father who beat his baby daughter, threatened to kill her and sent photographs of her injuries to his ex-wife has been arrested in eastern China.

The 2½-year-old girl has been sent to hospital by the authorities in Hangzhou in Zhejiang province and is in a stable condition, a police statement said.

The 30-year-old father, whose full name was not given, was given custody of the child in October after the couple divorced, the news website Thecover.cn reported.

His ex-wife was quoted as saying that her former husband had abused the child from March this year.

She last visited her daughter early last month, the report said.

The father sent four photographs of the girl with bruises all over the body and threatened to kill the child if her mother asked for custody, according to the article.

The mother posted the photographs online and appealed for help. “I want custody back and want the pervert to be punished,” she wrote.

Five-year-old boy "hacked 30 times" by step while in custody of father (China)

Very typical reporting is that there is no explanation as to why this poor child was left in the custody of the father, who clearly too busy/disinterested to care for him himself. He apparently dumped the day-to-day care on unnamed "relatives" while depriving the mother of custody. Of course the step is blamed for the whole thing and not the father. Very typical in that the custodial father is framed as the Clueless Innocent despite marrying a vicious sociopath and dumping the child on that person.

By contrast, custodial mothers are routinely castigated for leaving their children with abusive boyfriends when they have to work.

UNNAMED DAD.

Chinese Child 'Hacked 30 Times' In Abuse Case

Sky News – Thu, Aug 13, 2015

A Chinese child has been hacked with a knife more than 30 times in a horrifying case of abuse, according to reports.

It is understood that the boy, aged five, had been with his uncle Mr Ma on Sunday morning, as he is left in the care of relatives while his father is at work.

Around 9am, the boy's stepmother Ms Miao told the uncle that she would wash the boy as he was dirty - but instead she allegedly stabbed the boy more than 30 times.

Video posted online shows the bleeding boy standing on a public street while members of the public try to wrap him up and stop his bleeding.

According to local media reports, Ms Miao married the boy's father and had a daughter with him.

Ms Miao was recently diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer and it is believed she had tried to kill the boy in the hope that her husband would devote himself to caring for their daughter even after her death.

The boy was taken to hospital in AnYang, Henan province, although his condition is unclear.

A local reporter who went to the hospital said the boy's father and biological mother were in tears outside the operating room as they waited.

No further details, including the full names of the adults involved or why the boy was staying with his uncle, were not immediately available.

Graphic photos of the boy's injuries and his body covered in surgical stitches were posted online, prompting an angry reaction from Chinese people, with one saying: "I wouldn't be sad even if this woman dies".

Another person commented: "Such ruthless people should be punished.

Hope the child can get better soon, and hope he won’t be hurt ever again."

Someone else wrote: "Such a mother, is she a psychopath? So ruthless. Even if you are a step mother, how can you do such a cruel thing to a child?"

It is understood the stepmother was assaulted by angry citizens after news of the abuse was published.

Dad drives battered mom out of home, then posts photos of tearful bruised child online to force her to come home--and SHE's the one to lose custody (Shantou, China)

So Dad--identified here only as ZHONG--batters the mother and forces her out of the home, probably to save her own life. Then this sick f*** beats up their child and posts online pictures of the kid all bruised and in tears. And he threatens to kill the child. All basically an extortion attempt to force the mother home--maybe so he could kill them both.

So do the police help the mother deal with this vicious criminal? Do they help her get her child back? No, the give the child to the care of ANOTHER MALE, the grandfather. Can't help but wonder if this is the same grandfather who raised the abuser.

Basically the same sh**, different country.

Father who posted child abuse photos online surrenders to police

A father who abused his son and posted pictures online in order to threaten the child's mom to return home finally turned himself in to the Shantou police on Friday and has been detained.

The man surnamed Zhong of 36 years old beat the child's mother, who ran away from home, leaving Zhong to take care of the child. In a sick bid to force his mother to return home, Zhong posted pictures of their abused child online.

The published pictures on Zhong's QQ showed the child's bruised face, legs, buttocks and other areas with his eyes swollen and filled with tears, accompanied by the cruel caption: "He's going to die, the blood is coming out on its own, Haha."

Luckily, the child is now recovering physically and mentally and is under the care of his grandfather.

Dad beats to death 11-year-old daughter for copying homework (Hangzhou, China)

The usual BS we're fed about killer dads. Dad YE HUNG TIED UP his daughter, FORCED HER KNEEL, then BEAT HER TILL SHE STOPPED BREATHING. Yet we're assured he really "loved his kids very much." I'm tired of this crap.

Father Beats Daughter for Copying Homework

May 25, 2014 06:32 AM EDT | Christl Leong

A girl in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province was beaten to death by her father for copying her classmate's homework.

Chou, the 11-year old girl, was tied up by her father, Ye Hung, forced her to kneel and proceeded to beat her.

After physically abusing his own daughter, Ye went out to calm himself. When he came back, he discovered that his daughter had stopped breathing.

Chou was immediately rushed to a local hospital. However, the doctors were not able to save her. She died 12 hours later from a heart attack.

Doctors discovered that Chou had sustained bruises on her neck and back. According to Times of India, medical reports indicate that Chou had suffered from asphyxiation for as long as 5 minutes.

A spokesman for the local authorities said that while in the hospital, Ye had been remorseful for what he had done. He prayed and begged for the gods to heal his daughter so she would get better.

The father's actions may have been brought about by his strong belief in being a good student.

"He loved kids very much but also believed they must do well at school, which means not copying anyone's homework. That kind of cheating made him mad," Park Jen said about his cousin, Ye.

Chou's case marks the most recent incident of domestic child abuse in China.

In Shanxi, a 6-year-old boy had his eyes gouged out. His aunt was suspected of committing the crime. However, it was reported that she had committed suicide a few days later.

Similarly, a 10-year-old boy in Guangdong was allegedly beaten by his stepmother. Photos of the aftermath of the savage beating had outraged Chinese citizens after they went viral on Chinese social media sites. Netizens who saw the photos immediately clamored for the implementation of stricter laws to discourage domestic child abuse.

Dad poisons 16-month-old son, smothers him, throws him off bridge (China)

The police account doesn't pass the smell test.

We're supposed to believe that this guy's wife just up and left him and their son because of disagreements over "parenting issues" and because she "didn't make an effort to look after the family."

Then within MERE DAYS of this alleged occurrence, this supposedly normal father (if not being highly intelligent) is a depressed homicidal maniac who poisons the boy with pesticides and him, before dumping him in a bag which he throws off a bridge.

Bull crap.

First of all, this is a classic abuser accusation. She didn't take good care of me. Pure narcissism.

Plus, in the vast majority of cases, these kinds of killers don't suddenly snap. They have been violent and abusive all along.

And how do we know all this about the mother? Daddy's say so? I would just about bet that the mother was abused as well, and driven out of the home. That is, if she was not killed as well....

Dad is identified only as FENG.

http://shanghaiist.com/2014/04/20/young-father-poisons-toddler.php

Young father poisons toddler, smothers him and throws him from bridge

A 16-month-old toddler named Yu was murdered by his own father, Feng, when the man fed his son pesticides then smothered him with tape to suffocate him upon finding that he was still alive. Wanting to make sure that his son was definitely dead, he put Yu in a bag and threw the bag from a 5-meter-high bridge, according to local reports.

In the early morning of 9th of Sep 2013, a few construction workers, who were working under a bridge in Shenyang, Liaoning province, found a bag containing the body of a baby whose nose, eyes and mouth were all covered by tape.

The police arrived soon after and confirmed the baby’s death. People who were at the scene told reporters that the baby was around 2 years old with chubby cheeks. He was wearing a striped coat and a pair of jeans. Some of his other clothes were inside the bag as well. The police immediately issued a search notice for the dead baby’s relatives. Ten days later, they shockingly confirmed that it was Yu’s father who had killed him.

This horrible killing happened only a few days after Feng’s wife Hong left the family. Feng and Hong got married in 2011 and had baby Yu, who was born with congenital clubfoot in June 2012. The couple had been constantly arguing with each other since Yu was born. Feng had argued with Hong because of her frequent visits to Internet cafes and over parenting issues. He claimed that Hong didn’t make an effort to look after the family. So, not wanting to deal with the volatile marriage, Hong chose to leave Feng and her baby. After Hong left, Feng became very anxious and depressed. Raising the son on his own apparently contributed to the anxiety and depression. On September 8, when Yu was sick and crying all day, Feng felt that he couldn’t deal with the baby anymore and decided to end the crying by killing Yu.

After police questioned Feng and he admitted the crime, they suspected he may have psychological problems. They sent him to Liaoning Forensic Hospital Mental Health Department where doctors were unable to diagnose any apparent mental issues. However, they found that his intelligence level was slightly lower than normal peoples’, and suspected that’s why he couldn’t control himself when he felt the impulse to kill his son. Although Feng confessed to murder, he lacked remorse and, at the time of the killing, he was not aware of the consequences of committing such a horrible crime.

The police concluded that Feng’s unhappy marriage with the boy’s mother Hong and the boy’s congenital clubfoot led to the father’s anxiety, depression and loss of faith in life. The child’s crying had, at the time, fueled his depression and anxiety symptoms more.

Feng has been prosecuted for intentional homicide.

Dad takes 7-year-old daughter hostage, threatens to harm her (China)

Desperate dad takes daughter hostage

2014-03-11 14:53

A MAN who took his 7-year-old daughter hostage yesterday and threatened to harm her if his father failed to help him clear a gambling debt has been detained by police.

The incident happened about 11am after the man, surnamed Xu, argued with his parents. He then grabbed the child, pushed a knife to her throat and locked both her and himself inside a room at the family home on Laozhenbei Road in Putuo District.

Neighbors called the emergency services and after almost 10 hours of negotiations, police officers managed to convince Xu to give himself up.

The child was released uninjured and is now at home with her grandparents. Xu was taken to the police station for questioning.

According to the neighbors, Xu had gambling debts of more than 100,000 yuan (US$16,284). He became angry when his 50-year-old father, whose average daily wage is 50 yuan, said he was unable to help him. The pair began fighting on Sunday, they said.

Custodial dad admits to brutal beating of 4-year-old son, 2-year-old daughter (Dongguan, China)

Wow. This just makes you dizzy. There's the step mom AND Daddy's girlfriend (!). Both of whom were initially blamed for the child abuse. Then Daddy (identified as XIONG) finally 'fessed up.

Only one question. What happened to the mother of these kids? How did they end up in the father's care? Not one word here about that.

Just goes to show that mother erasure is as common in the East as in the West.

Father in Dongguan admits to brutally beating up his own kids

On January 23, a four-year-old boy surnamed Cheng, who was covered in cuts and bruises, wandered around in a small village in Dongguan and aroused the mercy of passersby. Police intervened and found that Cheng and his three-year-old sister had been brutally beaten up.

Neighbors guessed that their step-mom was the suspect. Yesterday morning, however, police reported that the father of the child, Xiong, had admitted to beating the children. He also admitted to having done this over ten times in just one month.

Xiong lied to the police just two days prior, saying the abuse was likely at the hand of his new girlfriend. He told police he planned on breaking up with her if it was her. His confession yesterday was entirely unexpected by police.

According to the police, Xiong's girlfriend might be also involved, and the neighbors claim to have seen her beating up children, but no obvious evidence has yet been found. The woman also denied abusing the child, so no legal action has been taken against her yet.

Dad gets 10-year prison sentence for attempted murder of 2-month-old daughter (China)

Dad YIN ZHIHE tried to kill the baby by inserting multiple needles into her body. Sick, sick, sick....

Father tries to kill his own daughter in Heilongjiang

Xinhua 2013-12-25 15:51 (GMT+8)

A court in northeastern China's Heilongjiang province has sentenced a man to ten years in prison for attempting to kill his daughter.

Yin Zhihe inserted a needle into his two-month-old daughter's body on Aug. 4 this year, suspecting the girl was not his daughter, the court said on Monday. A DNA test has since confirmed Yin is the biological father of the girl.

The girl was taken to hospital the next day and had the needle removed from her body. Yet Yin inserted three more needles into the girl's body from Aug. 15 to 17. Though all the needles were retrieved during an operation on Aug. 23, they have caused multiple organ injuries and respiratory failure.

The court added that it dispensed leniency to Yin on consideration that he turned himself in to the police and that he didn't succeed in killing the child.

Dad who tortured 11-year-old daughter gets 18 months in prison (Guizhou Province, China)

Father given 18-month sentence for child abuse

Global Times | 2013-7-25 0:38:02 By Wang Nan

The father who brutally abused his 11-year-old daughter was sentenced to 18 months in prison Tuesday in Southwest China's Guizhou Province.

Yang Shihai, a farmer from Bijie, Guizhou Province who perpetrated physical abuse and torturous assault on his 11-year-old daughter, was arrested on May 22. Yang was prosecuted on June 27 for the crime of intentional injury.

According to the evidence collected by the police and the local prosecutors, Yang picked up his daughter by her feet and dipped her head in a pot of boiling water last October, causing permanent damage to the girl's scalp, for no obvious reason.

The girl was also pierced with needles, forced to kneel on broken glass, and once had her mouth sewn shut by her father using fishing line to "keep her quiet."

The daughter is the eldest of the family's five children. Her siblings were not abused.

"Judging by the fact that Yang Shihai only tortured his eldest daughter and that this daughter was the only child not raised by Yang Shihai, we believe that he had intentionally abused the child to vent his frustration in life," said the prosecutor.

Yang's abuse raised great public concern as photos of the daughter with a scarred scalp circulated on the internet.

Wang Jie, a volunteer who often visits the victim, told the Global Times that the girl is currently living in a local nursing home, and that the local government failed to provide psychological rehabilitation and comfort.

Chen Huiqi, a child protection lawyer from Guizhou who follows the case, told the Global Times that the court is considering exploiting the father's right of custody.

Custodial dad arrested for torture of 11-year-old daughter (Shichang, China)

So it's "unclear" where the mother is or what happened to her. Let me suggest two likely scenarios for a custodial father who had no problems torturing his own little girl:

1) He killed her and hid the body very well; or
2) She fled for her life and has "disappeared" in order to stay alive

Chinese girl torture: Father arrested after 11-year-old daughter is found with mouth stitched with fishing cord

Xiao Li was also forced to kneel on broken glass, hung upside down and beaten with sticks and had her head dipped in boiling water

An 11-year-old girl had her mouth stitched up with fishing cord and her head dipped in boiling water during a horrific campaign of alleged abuse by her father, according to reports.

Little Xiao Li was forced to kneel on a floor covered with broken glass, hung upside down and beaten with ropes and sticks and had her skin pierced with sewing needles.

The malnourished child's unimaginable ordeal came to light this week when she was discovered walking along a road in the town of Shichang in China's southwestern Guizhou Province.

Photographs from the hospital she was taken to show scars all over her body, while her hair is unlikely ever to grow back because of the temperatures it was subjected to.

The girl's father was arrested following the discovery of the girl.

The victim's grandmother, who is mother to the arrested man, told Sky News that she had looked after the child for five years before her son returned from working elsewhere in China.

Xiao Li is now recovering in hospital. The costs of her medical care have been waived and the local authorities claim to be organising an extensive programme of psychological treatment.

Chen Yuefang, a local government official, said they are now seeking guardians to look after Xiao Li for the remainder of her childhood because her grandparents are too elderly to do so.

It is unclear where her mother is or what might have happened to her.

Man kills 4-year-old daughter by suffocation

2013-04-04 08:38

A FATHER has been detained, accused of killing his four-year-old daughter by stuffing her mouth with gauze when she cried, causing her to suffocate, police said.

The case came to light about 7am yesterday in a hospital in suburban Baoshan District where the couple arrived with the girl.

A surveillance camera at Baoshan Dachang Hospital showed the father, surnamed Hu, carrying the girl to the emergency room, while the mother was seen crouching and crying nearby.

The girl was pronounced dead after doctors tried for about 20 minutes to resuscitate her, hospital officials said.

"The doctors found bruises and signs of injury on her face and belly," said Mao Hongliu, a pediatrician with the hospital. "The parents just said it was due to her getting scratched up."

The couple were taken for questioning by police who were alerted by the hospital.

The girl's main cause of death was determined to be suffocation.

Police said Hu first said he "was rude to the girl."

Hu later confessed the girl cried a lot on Tuesday night and he hit her with his fist several times.

He told police he later used gauze to stuff his daughter's mouth while the mother watched.

A witness at the hospital said that Hu said he beat his daughter in the morning. "He did not seem sad at all," the witness said.

The girl was the couple's only child. They are from Jiangxi Province and have lived in Shanghai for years.

Dad sentenced to up to 15 years for killing infant daughter (Queens, New York)

Queens father sentenced to up to 15 years in prison for shaking infant daughter to death

By CHRISTINA CARREGA

Last Updated: 3:05 PM, March 4, 2013 Posted: 3:04 PM, March 4, 2013

An angry judge threw the book at a brutal Queens father today, sentencing him to five to 15 years in jail in the violent shaking death of his infant daughter.

"The blood of Annie is on your hands and the stain will never wash away," said Queens Supreme Court Justice Richard Buchter before he sentenced Hang Bin Li, 28, who was convicted last month of manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child.

Prosecutors said that in October 2007, Li violently shook his daughter, Annie, and slammed her head against an object, which caused a massive skull fracture. The girl also suffered a catastrophic brain injury and broken legs.

Doctors determined that baby Annie died of injuries relating to Shaken Baby Syndrome.

Li initially told police that he accidentally bumped Annie’s head on a nightstand while holding her and immediately called 911.

But trial testimony revealed that Li waited more than four hours before he called 911 after consulting a friend and his parents in China about the girl’s condition.

When the girl was finally taken to Flushing Hospital, she was admitted without a heartbeat and placed on life support.

She was declared dead four days later.

Li, who did not testify during the four-week trial, tried to give his account of what happened during the sentencing..

“I didn't know how or why this happened,” Li said. “I wrote what my statements were to the police, three times of what happened.”

But the judge wasn’t buying it.

"Mr. Li we will not try the case again,” Buchter said.

“These are the same lies the jury rejected. "These were catastrophic injuries. Your statements didn't fool the doctors. The jury rejected your explanations that it was an accident, and Mr. Li's explanation to the court today doesn't fool the court.”

Buchter described the case as “shocking, sickening and sadistic.”

The girl’s mother also appealed to the judge, to no avail.

"My husband was a very good father judge,” said Li's common law wife, Ying. “Please be lenient in your sentence. I was there that day, I saw everything. He didn't intentionally hurt Annie."

Ying was also originally charged with manslaughter until her case was dismissed a week before the trial began.

Dad refuses to donate bone-marrow to 5-year-old son, boy dies (Beijing, China)

Notice that the dad--only identified as HU--was no longer with the mother, as he refused to pay child support too. I suspect that letting the boy die was just a convenient way to wound the mother through destroying her child.

Beijing father refuses to donate bone-marrow to 5-year-old son, boy dies

Parenting fail. A five-year-old boy in Beijing has died of complications arising from leukaemia after his father refused to undergo a bone marrow transplant that could have saved the boy's life.

The boy's father, surnamed Hu, was found to be a compatible donor last August and originally agreed to undergo the procedure. However, earlier this year Hu abruptly refused to donate his bone marrow and also stopped paying child support.

Hu did not attend his son's funeral.

Fireman kicks suicidal "jumper" father holding toddler son back through window (Xining, China)

Big time Daddy Drama. Suicidal Daddy threatens to jump out of 4-story window with 2-year-old son. Like a lot of these would-be murder-suicides, he was supposedly "depressed" and had gone through a "fight" with his wife. (Meaning, that he was a typical narcissist/drama queen who had to "punish" mom for not giving in to his demands). Negotiators couldn't end the standoff.

Fortunately, a fireman was able to rappel down from the roof and kick Daddy's @$$ back inside.

Flying kick from abseiling fireman saves suicidal father and his toddler

Published: 6 hrs ago

A SUICIDAL father was saved from jumping to his death with a toddler in his arms - as an abseiling fireman KICKED him back inside the window.

Emergency workers spotted the weeping man sitting on his fourth-storey window ledge clutching a small child in his arms.

Firemen laid an inflatable mattress below as colleagues tried to talk him out of jumping.

After an hour of negotiations failed, an abseiler slid down the side of the apartment block and forced the man back inside the flat with a flying kick.

Seconds earlier another abseiler had gone in by a different window and together the rescuers snatched up the two-year-old and carried the tot away to safety.

The child's father is believed to have had a fight with his wife and was said to be depressed.

The spectacular rescue was filmed by stunned onlookers in Xining in northern China.

Dad in "custody dispute" kills mom; HIS parents get custody (Coquitlam, Canada)

Typical killer dad crap. He has a history of domestic violence, he starts a custody "dispute" (e.g. custody siege against Mom as part of his campaign of punishment and control), brutally murders Mom and drives around for two days with her body in the car ALONG with the kids...

....and yet he has the freaking nerve to criticize and belittle HER. Typical. These sh**s never take responsibility for their own actions, they always blame somebody else. Of course, Mom is no longer around to give her side of the story, is she. And we already know that Daddy is a pathological liar, just from the way he tried to cover up the murder.

Then after all that, the courts give the parents of psycho daddy custody of the kids. WRONG MOVE. Chances are they will continue Daddy's badmouthing and belligerent evasion of personal responsibility.

Dad is identified as ZHONGMING (JAMES) MOU.

Coquitlam dad drove kids to church with wife’s body in trunk

BY SUSAN LAZARUK, THE PROVINCE OCTOBER 9, 2012

A Coquitlam man who killed his wife over a custody dispute drove around for two days with her body in his SUV while he took his two kids to Burnaby Mountain and to church.

Zhongming (James) Mou, 36, was charged with first-degree murder for the strangulation death of Yating (Lancy) Hu, 27, in July 2011 after her body was found by fishermen in the Fraser River near Steveston, where he had dumped it inside a suitcase two days after he killed her.

The couple were embroiled in a nasty custody battle over their two sons, now four and three years old, before she was murdered.

Mou, after first admitting the murder to undercover officers, confessed to police, and the charge was reduced to second degree.

Mou, his hair long and bushy and wearing a sports jacket over a blue shirt and jeans, showed no emotion during his sentencing hearing on Tuesday in B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster.

Parents Distressed

Hu’s parents sat almost directly behind him in the public gallery, separated by Plexiglas, and her mother, Yanyu Xiao, sobbed loudly and uncontrollably during the morning recess.

Her father, Muming Hu, wiped away tears as he addressed the court through a translator, in lieu of a submitting his victim impact statement. He described an agony that hasn’t gone away since they learned of the disappearance and murder of their only child.

“And he (Mou) is not remorseful at all,” he said.

Custody Battle

Through an agreed statement of facts read into the record, court heard that Mou and Hu had married in 2003 but had separated and Hu, who had in May 2011 lived in a women’s shelter, was insisting on sole custody.

He told police he thought she wasn’t a good mother and didn’t have a “mother nature,” and that the older son, then three, “hated” her because she hit him.

He said he couldn’t see his children being properly raised by her and had thought of killing her twice before he did it.

The couple were discussing custody on Skype on July 15, 2011, but getting nowhere because she was too emotional, he said, so he invited her to his Coquitlam house.

Planned to Kill Her

He said she was being “very hard” that night and, at 5 a.m., he decided to kill her.

While she was in the washroom, he removed a metal bar from the Total Home Gym apparatus, closed the windows in the house and invited her into the laundry room to show her something and beat her with the bar, increasing the force when she screamed for help.

He then strangled her using an electrical cord and stuffed her body in a suitcase and put it in the back of the SUV.

He worked until 10 a.m. cleaning the house, sending the children back to bed when they woke.

Body Disposal

He told police he drove around for the next two days with the body in the SUV, with his children and “their mother’s body in the back,” said Crown prosecutor.

He turned up the air conditioner when the body started to decompose and smell.

After checking the tide charts for low tide, he drove to the Fraser River in Richmond at 3 a.m. Monday and weighted the suitcase down with two rocks and tried to tow it away from shore. But he struggled as it filled with water and abandoned it as it sank.

He tossed the metal bar into the Fraser River, disposed of other evidence in other locations and buried his wife’s cellphone, keys, wedding ring and wallet — minus its bank cards — in his parents’ backyard, later digging up the wallet to retrieve his son’s B.C. CareCard.

Hu’s body in the suitcase was found by two fishermen near Steveston on Aug. 27, 2011, two days after Hu’s parents came from China to make a public appeal for the return of their daughter.

Mou had told police conflicting stories at the time, saying he had dropped Hu off at her apartment at 8 p.m. and later said she had stayed at the Coquitlam home overnight and left on her own in the morning.

Mou was arrested and charged about two weeks later, on Sept. 9, 2011.

Confessed to Reporter

Less than a week later, he granted an hour-long interview to a Ming Pao reporter who showed up unannounced at the jail.

He told her he wasn’t sorry for killing Hu because she threatened to take his children away and that he didn’t feel bad about killing her and that he had lost feelings for her.

He blamed the social workers at the women’s shelter for directing her to seek $6,000 in alimony from him.

He rated her parenting skills at four out of 10 and his own at seven, until the murder, which he admitted dropped that number to zero.

Mou has been in custody since his arrest.

The children are being raised by his parents.

Hu’s father said he and his wife have moved to Canada to help raise them but there’s been friction over custody with the Mous.

Dad is identified only as ZHANG. No mention of a mother in the home. And it doesn't sound like there was one either.

Six-year-old dies after dad forced her to run for hours

By Liu Sheng (Global Times) 08:38, October 10, 2012

The father of a 6-year-old girl who died after enduring hours of physical punishment has been detained, said local police in Yueqing, Zhejiang Province Monday.

The 30-year-old suspect, surnamed Zhang, hit his daughter with shoes and demanded the girl run on the spot for six hours on Friday. Late that night she woke complaining of a stomachache and soon lost consciousness, chinanews.com reported.

Zhang did not believe the doctor when he was told his daughter was dead. He insisted on taking her to another hospital but left the girl's body under a tree on a mountain.

Zhang turned himself in after he heard the police were searching for him.

The news portal said Zhang forced his daughter to run on the spot with only a short break for a quick dinner and her homework.

Zhang admitted that he beat his daughter after returning home to find their home in a mess and urine on the floor.

"I thought if I didn't make her realize her mistake, all previous punishments would have been wasted," Zhang said.

According to local police, the doctor who examined the girl reported that she had multiple bruises but doubted they were the cause of death. The police are waiting for an autopsy report to determine the exact cause of death.

"My daughter didn't like reading and was quite naughty. And I easily get angry due to my tiring work," Zhang was quoted by chinanews.com as saying.

Xiong Bingqi, an education expert with the 21st Century Education Research Institute, told the Global Times that physical abuse of a child has no place in a strict traditional upbringing.

"The Law on the Protection of Minors states that parents can be held accountable for abusing their children," Xiong said, adding that part of the problem is when neighbors turn a blind eye to child abuse.

Gao Ming, director of the Shanghai Wanfang Law Firm, told the Global Times that the law only provides a three-year prison sentence for someone convicted of abusing a relative.

"If I were a judge, I would want to sentence him to life in prison," said Gao, noting that physical assault by a stranger carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Dad arrested for burying 6-year-old son alive (Kunming, China)

UNNAMED DAD...and no mention of a mother in this home. What happened to Mom? Why are the surviving kids with the grandparents?

KUNMING, China, April 21 (UPI) -- Police in southern China's Yunnan Province said a father was arrested for allegedly burying his 6-year-old son alive, causing his death.

The killing allegedly arose over an argument over homework.

The Shanghai Daily said reports indicated the suspect allegedly beat the little boy unconscious and then buried him alive after a running series of daily squabbles culminated in a deadly argument over the child's failure to do his homework.

The newspaper, which cited a report on the Web site Yunnan.cn, said the suspect then allegedly ordered his other three kids not to tell anyone about what had happened. The children were placed with their grandparents and will be provided with psychological counseling.

Custodial dad bites off genitals of 6-year-old son (Shenzhen, China)

It seems that UNNAMED DAD was custodial. Mom, it is claimed, "left them" (the father and two children) a few years back. But I'd like to see confirmation of that from the mother herself.

Father Bites Off 6-Year-Old Son’s Penis Before Brave Witnesses Can Stop Him
Posted by Lindsay Mannering on March 8, 2012 at 3:31 PM

This story isn't for the faint of heart. A father and his two young children, a 6-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, were seen taking a walk, naked, on the street near their apartment in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. Unfortunately, that's not the worst of it. The father allegedly asked his son to bite his penis, and when the son refused, the father bit off his son's penis.

Onlookers rushed to the aid of the boy when they saw him screaming and crying with blood pouring from his groin. They were able to recover his severed member from the nearby bushes, and sped off to the hospital.

It's been reported that doctors were able to reattach the penis, but it's likely the child will suffer from a lifelong disability. He's currently in stable condition and will receive psychological treatment for his obvious trauma.

The father's also been hospitalized -- it's believed he's been battling mental illness. No word on where or what happened to his 4-year-old daughter. The three of them had been living together in an apartment ever since the mother/wife left them in 2010 after a failed business venture.

What can you really say about a story like this? It's terrible, it's terrifying, it's despicable, detestable, and disgusting. It's abhorrent on every level and absolutely heartbreaking. For some reason, I'm not especially angered by it -- it's more depressing than it is enraging.

The only silver lining of this story is the fact that so many strangers came to the aid of the little boy. It couldn't have been an easy scene to witness nor become a part of, but these selfless people knew what was right, and did everything they could to help.

If it hadn't been for them, who knows how the rest of the story would've unfolded.

10-year-old son freed from custodial dad, who kept him prisoner for 8 years (Shanghai, China)

No matter where you look in the world, "psychotic" abusive, control-freak fathers are remarkable successful at taking children away from their mothers. This particular father is identified as LIU XI.

Somehow I suspect that the mother's "choice" in this matter was pretty limited, given Daddy's money.

Boy freed from psychotic father

Shanghai Daily, November 8, 2011

A 10-year-old boy with an intellectual level equivalent to a three-year-old child was confined to his home for eight years, but has been rescued from his allegedly psychotic father in a central China city.

After a couple from Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, divorced eight years ago, the father, Liu Xi, who is said to have suffered periodic psychosis, gained custody of the boy, identified as Ming Ming. Considering the boy his personal property, Liu confined him at home and prevented anyone from contacting him, Changsha Evening News reported yesterday.

Because of this long-term isolation, Ming Ming had an intelligence level of a three-year-old child, the report said.

The mother, Li Fang, let Liu take care of the boy after they divorced as Liu had a stable home and an income from his pension fund.

Liu's mental condition worsened after the divorce. He developed security issues and regarded Ming Ming as the only person he could count on. As a result he took extreme measures to keep Ming Ming close to him, a psychiatrist told the newspaper.

Police, social workers and medical staff rescued the boy on October 27.

Liu was sent to a hospital for treatment. Ming Ming now lives with his mother.

Four-year-old boy moves in with dad--and his skull is crushed (Henan, China)

Well, we see that out-of-control father exaltation is present in China just like the west.

Notice that this boy's mother is conspicous by her ERASURE. All we're told is that the baby was born "out of wedlock"-- which doesn't even directly acknowledge that an (unmarried) mother gave birth to him.

Then this baby is suddenly being raised by his (paternal?) grandparents. Why? How? What happened to his mother? Again, not one word.

Well, despite the fact that it takes two to tango, DADDY DEAREST, whose main contribution up to this point seems to single sex act with an unmarried woman, must be INVOLVED. Because we're told that it's all important for fathers to be INVOLVED (but no corresponding effort to "involve" the mother, who is treated as some sort of breeding animal). So last February, this little boy was shipped to another town and away from the only caretakers he had apparently ever known so he could "spend more time with his father" (but not his mother, who, as we said, is seemingly expendible).

Only to meet the father from hell, UNNAMED DAD. And this new step. After just 40 days or so with these evil people, the boy's head has been so badly bashed that half of his skull caved in, and he nearly lost his life. Notice that the step is blamed, but where was Dad? Cowering in the corner? Bull crap.

In fact, this outstanding paternal specimen wanted to deny the boy medical treatment. And after that, he somehow managed to steal the grandparents' life savings and disappear with the step.

And WHY was it so important for this boy to "spend time with his father" again?

INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

Boy's skull caves in from abuse

AsiaOne
Friday, Sep 02, 2011

His stepmother was so abusive that she caused half of his skull to cave in, causing him to have difficulties walking and an impaired sense of balance.

Four-year-old Zhongbao, a boy who was born out of wedlock in Henan, China, told an online Chinese news site that his stepmother used a wok spatula to hit him.

Not only was he abused by his stepmother, his father ran away with the family's savings of 2,000 yuan (S$380) soon after the boy regained consciousness after treatment.

ChinaSmack reported that Zhongbao's father had met the stepmother online and eventually moved in to live with him.

Zhongbao lived with his grandparents in Beijing since he was a baby, but was sent back home to Henan in February this year, so that he could spend more time with his father.

About 40 days later, Zhongbao faced abuse and suffered grevious injuries, causing him to nearly lose his life.

After the incident, the father and stepmother stated they did not want treatment, but Zhongbao's grandparents insisted and had their grandson transferred to Zhengzhou University Number One Auxiliary Hospital to undergo a second operation.

His father and stepmother, however, ran away and their whereabouts are unknown.

According to reports, while Zhongbao was unconscious, the stepmother explained that he had slipped and fallen down.

However, when he regained consciousness, the boy identified his stepmother as the one who had hit him.

A formal investigation into the case has been opened.

Because of a caved skull, his cranium capacity is now lessened, causing problems such as walking and might have an impact on his growth in the future.
