Mentone man arrested for child molestation

Mentone, Ind.
David Anderson, 66, was arrested Wednesday on two charges of child molestation, which occurred from 2009 to 2011.

David Anderson, 66, was arrested Wednesday on two charges of child molestation involving children under the age of 14, which occurred from 2009 to 2011.

In January, the Mentone Police Department was teaching a "Body Safety" program to students in the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation about reporting inappropriate touching and sexual misconduct when it received the report and eventually a warrant was issued.

On Wednesday, Indiana State Police pulled over Anderson's son and then followed him to his father's home and made the arrest.

According to a news release from the Mentone Police Department, in 1982 Anderson was charged with "incest engaging deviate sexual conduct."

Anderson is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
