Dad murders mom, her father after mom awarded custody of 6-year-old daughter (Cosa Mesa, California)
Once again, we see another father where child custody was just another way to exercise coercive control and punish the mother. Once the court figured out that the daddy ROBERT LEHMANN wasn't the greatest parent in the world (for once), mom was awarded custody. But why was she sent over to this violent father's house alone (except for her own father) to collect the child? Who gave this father custodial/visitation rights to start with?
The FRs will blame this poor daddy's grief, as usual--you know, the usual bull malarkey. There won't be one word of sympathy for the slaughtered mother, her father, or the motherless child. But the bottom line is this: if this double killer hadn't been provided with access to this child at the beginning, this mother wouldn't have been put in harm's way during a custody exchange. In reality, it's court coddling of criminal fathers that's escalating the death toll.

COSTA MESA, Calif. -- A 36-year-old Orange County man charged with fatally shooting his ex-wife and her father will defend himself if the case goes to trial.
At a court appearance Friday, Robert Lehmann told Orange County Superior Court Judge Derek G. Johnson he was refusing legal counsel. The Los Angeles Times reports the judge agreed to the request and set a preliminary hearing date for July 15.
At Lehmann's arraignment in May, prosecutors described a gruesome scene of an execution-style murder. Emily Ford and her father, Russell Ford, were gunned down when they went to Lehmann's home to take court-ordered custody of the woman's 6-year-old daughter with Lehmann. The girl, who was the former couple's only child, was not there.
Ford was granted full custody of their daughter earlier that day after a child-custody hearing.
