Father thrashes four-year-old to death for failing to cover her head
Oct 03, 2015 | Age Correspondent
Victim’s mother filed an FIR after the accused asked her to bury the body in their home
Bareilly: In a shocking case, a four-year-old Muslim girl was allegedly thrashed to death by her father for failing to cover her head while eating her food in a village near Bareilly, according to reports.
Uttar Pradesh police said that the incident took place on Friday noon, when the little girl Farheen was having lunch with her mother. The father of the girl, Jafar Hussain flew into a rage when he saw that his daughter did not have her head covered. Hussain then picked the little girl up from the floor and repeatedly flung her against the ground for failing to notice that her dupatta had slipped from her head.
The mother who was eyewitness to the gruesome incident, told the police in her statement that the incident had happened in front of the entire family. The girl’s mother claims that she tried to intervene and save the child, but the accused beat her up. She failed to stop him and he continued to assault the child till she died from the impact of her injuries. Hussain then allegedly asked his wife to bury little Farheen inside their house, but the mother refused to comply with his demand and filed a FIR against him.
“Police have arrested the father for killing his daughter and we are questioning him about the incident,” superintendent of police BK Srivastav said.
The police questioned some of the neighbours, who described the accused as “mentally unstable”, they said that he was a staunch Muslim who did not interact with anybody, not even his relatives. Hussain lives with his wife Naeem and their four children in the village, while their eldest child is five, the youngest is a ten month old baby.
According to the neighbours, the family is extremely poor and sometimes would have to go without food. Fear gripped them when they came to know about Farheen’s murder, and nobody dared enter the house until the police arrived at the crime scene.

Custodial dad, step on trial for severe abuse of 11-year-old son (Gold Hill, Oregon)
Another one of those cases where the mother's existence is neatly written out of the story.
How did abuser dad LAWRENCE MILLARD get custody? And what happened to the mother? Is she deceased? If so, do we know for a fact that it's from natural causes? Has she "disappeared"? If so, do we know the circumstances? Is she alive, but beaten out by this sadistic torture freak in family court? What?

Gold Hill couple on trial for child abuse
Prosecution: Boy burned, tied up
A Gold Hill couple are on trial facing accusations they severely abused their 11-year-old son.
By Vickie Aldous Mail Tribune Posted Aug. 25, 2015 at 5:54 PM
Nurse practitioner Diane Kutzke remembers her first impressions of an 11-year-old boy who came to her for treatment of his burned hands.
"He was a very polite, sweet little boy. He was thin — emaciated almost — with horrific burns," Kutzke said in a videotaped deposition, adding that unlike most children, he waited patiently while at the clinic, reading a Harry Potter book.
Kutzke said his swollen, reddish-purple hands had so much tissue damage she couldn't tell whether the burns were recent.
The Jackson County District Attorney's Office alleges the boy's stepmother, Angela Marie Millard of Gold Hill, said she would show the boy what hell felt like, then held his hands under scalding hot running water sometime around Thanksgiving 2014.
He didn't receive medical care for his burned, infected hands until early February, when his grandmother took him to a clinic in Washington state, prosecutors allege.
Angela Millard, 35, and her husband, Lawrence Millard, 38, the boy's biological father, are on trial this week in Jackson County Circuit Court facing a host of assault and criminal mistreatment charges. The trial is scheduled to continue through Thursday.
During the February health clinic visit, Kutzke said she also observed the boy had a broken tooth, a swollen foot, bruised legs and an injury to his face.
Fearing that his parents were traveling from Oregon and would pick him up at the Washington clinic, Kutzke called 911.
"I called 911 because it was clear to me he had been abused," she said in the deposition, which was played Monday during the trial. "I thought he was in imminent danger."
The Millards were arrested in February and lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where they remain on $100,000 bail each.
After interviewing the boy and conducting a search of the family's one-bedroom apartment, investigators said they found a blue rope the Millards allegedly had used to tie up the boy when Lawrence Millard went to work and Angela Millard — who was pregnant at the time — ran errands and went to her own doctor appointments.
The boy was allegedly left tied up so long he urinated and defecated on himself. Angry that his clothing then had to be taken to a laundromat for washing, the Millards allegedly responded by diapering the boy and then leaving him tied up, prosecutors said.
Testing revealed the boy's DNA on the rope, plus the DNA of both parents, according to court testimony.
Diaper packaging and a diaper — sized to fit a child between 38 and 65 pounds — were also found in the home, investigators said.
Jackson County sheriff's Detective Steve Bohn, who was part of the team that executed a search warrant on the Millards' home, said investigators found a broken tooth in the bathroom. A dentist later was able to affix the broken-off tooth to a tooth root in the boy's mouth, he said.
Prosecutors allege Angela Millard hit the boy so hard with a hairbrush she broke out the tooth. Lawrence Millard is accused of injuring the boy's legs by beating him with a table leg.
The boy is now being cared for by a foster family, along with his toddler sister and a baby sister who was born a few months ago, said Jackson County Deputy District Attorney Virginia Greer.
In a videotaped interview between the boy and Bohn that was played in court, the boy said he is glad he and his toddler sister were taken away from the Millards.
"She would probably die if my dad beat her like he did me. She's only 2," the boy said.
Prosecutors allege the Millards did not get medical attention for the boy, who is now 12, because they feared the alleged abuse would be discovered. They allegedly did not allow the boy to go to school after he was burned. School records show he stopped attending school.
The boy said his stepmother bandaged his hands, but did not take him to a doctor.
Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Colin Fagan, an expert in vulnerable victim and high-tech crime investigations, said a search of Lawrence Millard's laptop showed deleted content of the boy clad only in underwear with bandaged hands. The image was preserved on the Cloud, an Internet-based data storage system. #The photo was taken on Dec. 10, 2014, long before the boy's February visit to the Washington state clinic with his grandmother, Fagan testified.
Fagan said laptop and cellphone searches show someone in the household entered search terms for "What happens when CPS (Child Protective Services) is called on you," "When they come after you" and "CPS advice for parents."
Prosecutors said the parents made the boy write extensively as a punishment.
Bohn said investigators found numerous writings made by the boy as he referenced biblical scriptures and said he was trying to obey his parents so he would be allowed to go back to school. The writings were entered as evidence over the objections of the Millards' court-appointed defense attorneys, who said the submissions would be too prejudicial.
The defense attorneys said they would acknowledge some facts in the case are true, but that the prosecution's case is deficient because some facts are still in dispute.
As one punishment, Bohn said the boy had written, "I will listen to and love my family."
Bohn testified the boy wrote the sentence over and over again — 1,136 times.

Dad stops lifeguards from rescuing drowning daughter (Dubai, United Arab Emirates)

Dad stops his daughter being saved from drowning so she wouldn't 'dishonour' him
"[He] considered that if these men touched his daughter, then this would dishonour her."
By Zara Kenyon
A man stopped lifeguards from rescuing his drowning daughter on a beach in Dubai, as he didn't want 'strange men' touching her because, he said, it would 'dishonour her'. As the father grappled with those who were trying to save the 20-year-old, the woman lost her life in the heartbreaking and disturbing incident.
Lt. Col Ahmed Burqibah, deputy director of Dubai Police's Search and Rescue Department described the scene to Emirates 24/7.
He said:"This is one of the incidents which I cannot forget. It shocked me and many others who were involved in the case." The Asian father took his wife and kids to the beach for picnic and fun. The kids were swimming in the beach when suddenly, the 20-year-old girl started drowning and screaming for help.
But, instead of calling for help or running in to rescue her, the woman's father became violent with two lifeguards who tried to save her life.
"'Two rescue men were at the beach, and they rushed to help the girl. However, there was one obstacle which prevented them from reaching the girl and helping her.
"This obstacle was the belief of this Asian man who considered that if these men touched his daughter, then this would dishonour her. It cost him the life of his daughter."
Tragically, by the time the lifeguards fought off the woman's father she had passed away - a fate that the father allegedly said he preferred over having 'strange men' touch her.
"The father was a tall and strong man. He started pulling and preventing the rescue men and got violent with them.
"He told them that he prefers his daughter being dead than being touched by a strange man.
"She died unfortunately, at a time when she had a chance to live, especially that the rescue men were so close to her to pull her out of the water."
The father was later arrested and prosecuted.

"Charleston Killer" raised by violent custodial dad; what happened to this boy's mother? (Charleston, North Carolina)
I am not underplaying other factors that played into this killer's actions, like the ready availability of guns in an extremely racist culture. That said, I get tired of all the fathers day MRA propaganda blaming single mothers for crime and all the other social problems in the world when FBI research clearly shows a very high correlation between violent fathers and murderous offspring.
Notice that it has become so common for abusive and controlling fathers like FRANKLIN ROOF to assume full custody that nobody even asks how he got custody, who gave it to him or what happened to the mother.

The white loner accused of shooting dead nine people at a black church was raised by a violent father who beat up his stepmother and hired a private detective to follow her when they split.
These shocking charges were made in court papers by Paige Mann - the ex-wife of Dylann Roof's father Franklin - that were obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com.
Franklin Bennett Roof, 52, who is known as Benn, bought his son the gun he allegedly used for the massacre.
He is also said to have subjected his wife Paige to a ‘pattern of control and mental manipulation’ that ended with a vicious assault.
Exclusive photographs obtained by DailyMail.com show multiple bruises to her body allegedly caused by him.
She claims he battered her on the back of the head in 2008 and made her ‘world fall apart’.
Franklin is said to have shredded Paige’s self esteem during their ten-year marriage.
He also kept her in a 'virtual prison' by calling her several times a day and demanding to know what she was doing.
The heavily tattooed builder repeatedly told Paige she was lazy and spent too much money.
He allegedly once said: ‘You’re not a very good maid but I’ll keep you around’.
When they split, Franklin is said to have taken his revenge by accusing her of having a lesbian affair and hiring a private detective - who took graphic notes about her spending the night with her boyfriend.
When the divorce was finalized in 2009, Dylann’s last chance of a stable family life disappeared.
His main anchor in life was a father who was away travelling for four days each week with his construction company.
Dylann, who was then 15, began to skip classes, did not finish high school and became unemployed - living ‘on and off’ with his father while he spent his days taking drugs and playing video games.
According to police, his journey into the wilderness ended on Wednesday night when he went on the rampage at a Bible study group at the Emanuel AME church in Charleston, South Carolina.
He is accused of calmly sitting with them for 45 minutes before opening fire and telling the group of black worshippers he was doing it because they had ‘raped our women and are taking over our country’.
He has now been charged with nine counts of murder and has reportedly confessed to the shootings.
The roots of his extreme hatred have yet to be fully explained but documents filed at the Richland Family Court give the clearest indication yet of how he was brought up.
The files show that Paige was the closest thing Dylann ever had to a mother - until Franklin’s alleged abusive behavior removed her from his life.
The former couple married in November 1998 in Florida, when they were living together in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dylann was just four and his half-sister Amber was 11. In 2000 Paige and Franklin had a daughter together, Morgan.
Paige writes that she ‘raised (Franklin’s) kids from a very young age, took them to all of their activities, and Benn’s kids have spent almost every weekend with me. “
After we moved to Florida our marriage really began to deteriorate when Benn became so controlling.”
‘Benn travels a great deal, usually four days a week, so I would always care for and raise his kids’.
Paige tried working at Sears but Franklin said he wanted her to be a stay-at-home mom, so she quit.
Despite her ‘great reluctance, Franklin moved the family to the Florida Keys, away from her family, friends and support network'.
It was a terrible move.
Paige wrote in her affidavit to the court that their ‘fighting and arguing became worse’ and Franklin ‘constantly belittled me about how lazy I was’.
She wrote: ‘After we moved to Florida our marriage really began to deteriorate when Benn became so controlling.
‘He controlled my whereabouts, the checkbook and everything about my life.
‘On September 20, 2008, my whole world fell apart when Benn and I got into an argument.
Benn violently pushed me to the ground and hit me in the back of my head.’
That night Franklin took the credit card from Paige that she had been using to pay the grocery bills.
She said it was her only source of income.
He also said he was ‘cutting off the electricity and taking my car’.
Paige claimed he told her he would ‘relinquish his rights to our daughter if I would waive child support’.
Paige claims in court documents that 'my whole world fell apart when Benn and I got into an argument.
DailyMail.com: 'That was us just slinging mud at each other. That's just stuff. We get along fine now'
Paige claims the heavily tattooed builder repeatedly told her she was lazy, spent too much money and once said: ‘You’re not a very good maid but I’ll keep you around’
The pictures of her injuries, allegedly from domestic abuse, were included in a court fuke Paige wrote that she was ‘so scared of him that I knew I had to get out of this violent situation’.
She moved back to Columbia with Morgan - leaving Dylann with his father.
The court file contains numerous other documents filed in support of Paige’s claims.
Her mother Patricia Hastings said in a letter to the court that her daughter’s nature was ‘one of caring, cheerfulness and devotion to her family’.
“ Paige was there for Amber and Dylann on the occasions where their own (mother) chose not to be, including church, driving Dyalnn to and from school and extracurricular activities.”
She wrote that her daughter ‘loved Bennett Roof’s other children Amber and Dylann unconditionally as her own’.
And she added: ‘I was afraid that love for these children clouded her judgement in getting involved with Bennett Roof.’
Dylann stayed with Paige and Franklin far more often than with his own mother, who was supposed to have him every other weekend, Patricia noted. ‘Paige was there for Amber and Dylann on the occasions where their own (mother) chose not to be, including church, driving Dylann to and from school and extracurricular activities.’
Her daughter’s marriage had been a ‘source of great concern’ on numerous occasions, she added.
‘Prior to the marriage, a pattern of control and mental manipulation was evident to me and many of (Paige's) friends.
‘Having worked 30 years as a registered nurse and most of those years were in women’s health services, I am well acquainted with the signs of an abusive relationship.
This is even more frightening when you see it unfolding in your own child’s life’.
She described how over the years she saw Franklin ‘isolating (Paige) from her friends and family’.
Judge makes opening remarks at Dylann Roof court appearance
After their divorce was finalized in 2009, Franklin hired a private investigator to investigate Paige, even though after a decade of abuse she had understandably moved on
In his affidavit Franklin wrote: ‘I now know she has a boyfriend. I hired a detective and found out my suspicions were confirmed'
After their divorce was finalized in 2009, Franklin hired a private investigator to investigate Paige.
His notes on her movements with her new boyfriend are pictured here She wrote: ‘The chipping away of her self-esteem by constant verbal attacks on everything from personal appearance to house-cleaning skills was a frequent occurrence’.
Hastings said that Franklin was ‘manipulative’ and that once in January 2009 he came round and was ‘pounding on the front door and yelling in the extreme’.
Paige’s friends wrote in court documents that they saw similar incidents.
The most blunt was Sally Moore, a special education teacher, who had known Paige for 20 years.
She wrote in a letter: ‘Benn was tough on Paige. He called her several times a day to check up on her and find to what she was doing, and what was for dinner.
‘If he should make it home, I heard him making comments about her cleaning: "How long is that laundry going to stay in that f***ing chair?
'"What in the hell have you been doing all day?" and "You’re not a very good maid but I’ll keep you around".
‘Benn began to work out of town more and more, staying out of town for a week or more at a time.
‘Paige had the responsibility of their child Morgan and her two stepchildren.
‘The toughest time for Paige was 2004-7.
‘Paige and Benn built a house and their living expenses became more exuberant. Benn questioned every penny Paige spent, even at the grocery store. I heard him question: "What did you buy for $200 at Food Lion?" and "Morgan’s shoes cost how much?"
Friend of Dylann Roof comments on his state of mind Paige, seen in a Facebook photo, said that she would always care for and raise' Dylann and his half-sister Paige, seen in a Facebook photo, said that she would always care for and raise' Dylann and his half-sister ‘It got to the point that Paige had to ask me for hand-me-downs from my daughter so she would not have to hear him fuss about spending too much money on shoes or clothes.
‘We had many play dates where Paige just cried because she felt so inferior, not trusted and just plain unhappy.
‘Benn did not even trust our relationship. He at one time accused us of being lesbians... it seemed odd to me since I know how truly selfless Paige is and what a kind heart she has.’
Another letter was written by Paige’s friend Leslie McArver who had known her for four years.
She wrote: ‘(Paige) always made sure Dylann was able to visit his father, even taking him to and from his house every weekend. She has been very active in all of the children’s lives for the past 10 years and caring for them as her own.'
Yet another of Paige’s friends, Whitney Malson, whose daughter went to the same school as Morgan, wrote that she was ‘afraid’ of Franklin.
She wrote: ‘My husband witnessed him banging on Paige’s door at night and yelling at her. He kept banging on the door, yelling out her name, and I called out to him and said she was not at home.
‘Last week he showed up at school and was borderline physical with Paige. He was trying to pull Morgan’s backpack off Paige’s shoulders and was violent about it. He was harassing her all the way to the car in his own daughter’s school zone,’ she claimed.
Paige and Franklin split in December 2008 and the divorce was finalized in February 2009.
But in January of that year Franklin hired a private investigator to investigate Paige.
In his affidavit Franklin wrote: ‘I now know she has a boyfriend. I hired a detective and found out my suspicions were confirmed. She has omitted this affair to me’.
The word ‘omitted’ appears to be a typo and he seems to have meant ‘admitted’.
According to the surveillance report by McKay Investigations, a Columbia-based detective agency, agents tailed Paige over two weekends and observed her being affectionate with her new boyfriend, Scott McWhite.
Franklin entered it into the divorce files to demonstrate what he saw was a wrong against him.
The report reads: ‘As Scott leaned against the Cherokee, Paige put her chest to his and leaned on him. ‘They kissed. Paige rubbed Scott’s chest and wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him. He in return wrapped his arms around her waist.
‘Paige became extremely loving. It was as if she simply could not keep her hands, lips and body off of Scott.'
The agents write that the pair were ‘very free with their actions and in no way tried to be discreet’.
Over one weekend the agents carried out almost 24-hour surveillance on the couple, watching them in a club until after midnight and then back at McWhite’s apartment where they sat watching them relaxing by candlelight until they closed the curtains.
The agents returned the following morning at 5.24am, checked that Paige’s car was still there and watched as the naked couple put on their clothes and got ready for the day.
The report says: ‘She picked her pants up from the floor and put them on. Paige and Scott stood in front of the bathroom mirror.
‘Paige picked up her bra from the floor and put her arms through the straps. Scott stepped out of the bathroom and fastened her bra.’
In his filings Franklin denied some of the allegations against him.
He said that he did not object to Paige having custody of Morgan but he could not pay much child support as his business had been ‘living off borrowed money for over the last year’.
He claimed it had been ‘difficult to stay afloat’ after the 2008 economic crash, even though tax filings show he earned $48,000 that year.
Paige’s lawyer accused him of lying about his income and said that in his 2008 tax return he claimed to earn $5,100 a month - but it was actually $7,1500.
Matt Shearer, 27, an English teacher who lives next door to Franklin, told DailyMail.com that Franklin was a 'nice guy'. He added: 'Benn likes a beer, he likes going to Key West. He's got lots of tattoos, sailor tattoos. I've never had any trouble from them the time I've been here'

‘Paige picked up her bra from the floor and put her arms through the straps. Scott stepped out of the bathroom and fastened her bra.’

Dad, a former Catholic priest, accused of sexually abusing son--so he goes for child custody (Jefferson County, Alabama)
Where to even start with this. Dad DAVID STONE initiated a sexual relationship with the mother when she came to him for confession and he was serving as her "spiritual advisor." It is accepted ethical practice that ANYONE serving in a counseling capacity does not have sex with a client or patient. It is inherently unequal and a huge breach of professional ethics.
But we're told it was "consensual"--with no further comment.
Then we're told that SHE was FIRED FROM HER JOB while he was merely put on a "long-term leave of absence." OUTRAGEOUS.
Of course this POS gets visitation anyway--despite never having been married to the mother and violating all kinds of ethical standards--and then promptly molests the child. (Studies consistently show that children very seldom lie about these things.)
But its HER motives that are being questioned not his--despite the fact that abusers VERY TYPICALLY go after custody as a way to secure complete access to the victim and eliminate the protective mother from the picture. And notice how Mom is raked over the coals for taking care of her son after an automobile accident. Very typical of the bizarre, cooked up accusations thrown at mothers when abusers are intent on punishing mom and securing access to the child victim.

Catholic priest, ex-EWTN TV host, fathered child; he's now in custody fight, accused of abuse
By Greg Garrison on March 25, 2015 at 3:40 PM, updated March 25, 2015 at 4:38 PM
David Stone, 54, formerly known as Father Frances Mary Stone, was host of the TV program "Life on the Rock" on Eternal Word Television Network. He fathered a child born in 2008. The mother was fired from EWTN and Stone was put on long-term leave of absence, according to Jefferson County court documents.
A national group that monitors allegations of child sexual abuse by clergy has focused attention this week on the Alabama case of David Lawrence Stone, a Catholic priest and former EWTN TV host who was arrested in 2013 and charged with sexual abuse of a minor under 12.
The minor he is charged with sexually abusing is his own son, now six years old.
Stone, 54, formerly known as Father Frances Mary Stone, was host of the TV program "Life on the Rock" on Eternal Word Television Network.
In court filings, Stone's attorneys have argued that the allegation of child abuse is false. Stone has been in a lengthy custody battle with Christina Presnell, the mother of his child, according to Jefferson County Court records.
A spokeswoman for SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, was in Birmingham on Tuesday to discuss the case. She said Bishop Robert J. Baker, head of the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham, should let people know about the allegation and that the priest still lives in Irondale.
"Even if you believe he's innocent, they should be open about it and let the truth come out," said Barbara Dorris, outreach director for SNAP. She said that since the Catholic Church was rocked by scandal in recent years over accusations of sexual abuse by priests, bishops have vowed to be more open about allegations against priests. "Protect the kids," she said. "The bishops in some states have not been taken to task. This crisis isn't over."
Baker said that Stone no longer is a member of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word, the order of priests founded in 1987 by Mother Angelica, who also founded EWTN. Stone no longer lives at the Annunciation Friary in Irondale, Baker said. Stone lives in a rented house in Irondale, according to court documents.
"He's not living in their community," Baker said. "They are following canonical procedures on the case."
The diocese investigated the case and it's now being played out in the judicial system, in both criminal and civil cases in Jefferson County.
"We have investigated, and done everything we're required to do," Baker said. "He is out of the ministry. Everything is pending the outcome of the trials. My understanding is he is saying he is falsely accused. Any of these situations are difficult."
Priest and mother of his child both lost jobs at EWTN
Scott Morro, an attorney for Presnell, said the relationship between Stone and Presnell started when she was working for EWTN. Presnell worked as a human resource coordinator for EWTN, according to court documents. She met Stone in 1998, went to confession with him as her priest and considered him her spiritual adviser, then began a sexual relationship with him in 2001. They kept the relationship secret, but were discovered when she became pregnant. EWTN fired Presnell in 2008 and Stone was put on a long-term leave of absence, court records show.
"She started working there, and she started to be counseled by Dave," Morro said. "That grew into a flirtatious relationship, which grew into a dating relationship, which led to the conception of their child. It was all consensual."
Presnell, 47, was widowed in 1999 after a 13-year marriage and had two daughters and a son with her husband. She also had another son by another father while separated from her husband, then had Stone's son, who was born in 2008, according to court documents.
Stone arrested after mother files complaint of abuse
The sexual abuse case against Stone is still pending in Jefferson County, Morro said. "They're waiting to present it to the grand jury," he said.
According to court documents, Stone had visitation with his son starting in 2010. In May 2011, Presnell said that the boy told her that his father put his finger in the boy's anus, causing him to defecate on the bed. Stone denies that story and says she made it up. She filed a police report. Stone was arrested by Irondale Police on Oct. 9, 2013 and released on $150,000 bond.
Stone does not currently have visitation privileges with his son as a condition of the bond, court records show. He has been fighting for visitation privileges and custody in civil court in Jefferson County.
William Bradford and Amber Ladner, attorneys for Stone on the criminal charge, said the allegation against him is false.
"Mr. Stone's primary concern has always been, and remains today, his son's well being," Bradford and Ladner said in a prepared statement. "The actions of SNAP in recent days are baseless, misguided, and driven by a lack of information as to the true and correct facts regarding Mr. Stone, his son, Ms. Presnell, and the ongoing litigation. Due to this lack of basic understanding, the statement of SNAP is replete with false information regarding the situation and Mr. Stone. Mr. Stone took a leave of absence from the Church prior to his son's birth. It was Mr. Stone who initiated the legal proceedings in Jefferson County Family Court in an effort to gain custody or visitation with his son. This was done with the sole purpose of Mr. Stone having a meaningful father/son relationship with his child. Thereafter, Ms. Presnell prompted the filing of criminal charges against Mr. Stone. Mr. Stone adamantly denies all allegations of any wrongdoing regarding his son, and is of the opinion that the false charges are the result of an effort to gain advantage in the Family Court proceeding. Mr. Stone will continue to press his case for custody and/or visitation, and will vigorously defend himself against all false allegations of criminal conduct. To that end, he continues to look forward to the true facts regarding this situation being brought forth in the courts as soon as possible."
Latest court filings include clinical psychologist's reports
Presnell was held in contempt of court on Feb. 13 by Jefferson County Judge Carnella Greene Norman for not appearing in court for depositions. Morro said that Presnell was taking care of her oldest son who was in a hospital intensive care unit in Tennessee for several days after a car accident, and that she had previously done depositions on the case. Morro filed an appeal of Norman's ruling on March 6.
Morro, a former police officer, said his client's allegations of abuse against Stone are credible.
"These are egregious charges against a man," Morro said. "If I didn't believe they were true, I wouldn't be representing her."
Former Birmingham attorney Mitch Damsky, who represented Stone after his arrest but last year moved to Wyoming, said the abuse allegation may be an effort to gain advantage in the custody dispute. "I really don't think that he did it," Damsky said. "It didn't add up to me."
In the most recent civil court filing today, March 25, a clinical psychologist's reports on both Presnell and Stone were submitted. "Christina's allegation against Dave is highly questionable given the timing and circumstance of it," wrote licensed clinical psychologist Alan Blotcky. "Dave's psychological evaluation does not even hint at a person who is capable of abuse. It is implausible." Blotcky wrote that Stone is "fully capable of being a healthy and competent parent," and recommended that Stone be given visitation. Physical custody for Stone "should be a viable option in this case," he wrote.
But Ladner noted that even if Stone were awarded visitation with his son, it's prohibited in the terms of his bond, and could be delayed pending the outcome of the criminal case.
But we're told it was "consensual"--with no further comment.
Then we're told that SHE was FIRED FROM HER JOB while he was merely put on a "long-term leave of absence." OUTRAGEOUS.

Custodial dad who raped, tortured, and murdered 5-year-old daughter set free (Saudi Arabia)
This is what institutionalized fathers rights look like, folks. Murdered women and children make up a "special category" of murder victims for which legal justice does not apply. And a mere female is worth less in "blood money" as well.
Vestiges of this still exist in the "secularized" west, where there is still an institutionalized indifference to domestic violence and child abuse victims. There are all kinds of dads that are documented at this site that got minimal punishment for killing their children--or no punishment at all.
Dad is identified as FAYHAN AL-GHAMDI.

A 'celebrity' Saudi preacher accused of raping, torturing and killing his five-year-old daughter has reportedly been released from custody after agreeing to pay 'blood money'.
Fayhan al-Ghamdi had been accused of killing his daughter Lama, who suffered multiple injuries including a crushed skull, broken back, broken ribs, a broken left arm and extensive bruising and burns. Social workers say she had also been repeatedly raped and burnt.
Fayhan al-Ghamdi admitted using a cane and cables to inflict the injuries after doubting his five-year-old daughter's virginity and taking her to a doctor, according to the campaign group Women to Drive.
Rather than getting the death penalty or receiving a long prison sentence for the crime, Fayhan al-Ghamdi served only a few months in jail before a judge ruled the prosecution could only seek 'blood money'.
Albawaba News reported the judge as saying: "Blood money and the time the defendant had served in prison since Lama's death suffices as punishment."
Fayhan al-Ghamdi, who regularly appears on television in Saudi Arabia, is said to have agreed to pay £31,000 to Lama's mother.
The money is considered compensation under Islamic law, although it is only half the amount that would have been paid had Lama been a boy.
Despite Saudi Arabia's famously strict legal system, Women to Drive say fathers cannot be executed for murdering their children in the country. Equally, husbands cannot be executed for murdering their wives.
Formal objections to the ruling have been raised by three Saudi activists, and the twitter hashtag #AnaLama (which translates as I Am Lama) has been set up.
Local reports say public anger over the settlement is growing across Saudi Arabia, with authorities planning to set up a 24-hour hotline to take calls about child abuse.

Custodial dad on trial for torture-murder of 10-year-old daughter; due to public protests, could be first father to get death penalty for killing a child (Yemen)
This is what institutionalized fathers rights looks like. YEMEN is a country where mothers--and women in general--are treated like dirt. The only reason custodial dad NOUH ALI SALEH AL-YEMENI might even be held accountable for the torture-murder of his daughter is that THOUSANDS have protested and DEMANDED that he get the death penalty. Normally, daddies get a slap on the wrist for killing their wives and children--if that. All you have to do is call it a matter of "honor" and you can do whatever the hell you want How convenient for a DIRTBAG like this guy.

Trial ongoing for man who killed his daughter Public outrage could lead this to be the first time a father is executed for killing his daughter
Published on 26 January 2015 in Report Ali Ibrahim Al-Moshki (author)
The murder of Maab on Dec. 26 caused public outrage, leading to an ongoing campaign to expedite the case against her father and introduce a legal precedent by sentencing the father to death.
After torturing his ten-year-old daughter Maab for several days, Nouh Ali Saleh Al-Yemeni, a 30-year-old onyx salesman and resident of Dhamar governorate, drove to Ibb’s Naqil Sumara Mountain on Dec. 26 where he held his pistol to his daughter’s back and pulled the trigger.
The reason: He believed his daughter was no longer a virgin.
Daughters being killed for so-called “dishonorable” behavior—whether it actually happened or not—is not unheard of in Yemen. According to the deputy director of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior, Mohammad Hizam, “Girls being killed by their families comes as a result of rape, online messaging, befriending boys, being sexually harassed by their own fathers, or as a result of grudges between the parents after they are divorced.”
While the Interior Ministry does not have statistics regarding such incidents, Hizam said he knows of “dozens of similar cases.” Furthermore, the head of the Family Protection Department in the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Suad Al-Qa’tabi, told the Yemen Times that no father has been sentenced to death for killing his daughter so far. The reason, she said, is fathers’ alleged defense of honor which usually results in the lesser penalty of imprisonment.
“The coordinating authority for NGOs working in the field of child rights held, in cooperation with the civil society organizations of Dhamar, a seminar entitled: ‘Advocating Maab Al-Yemeni’s Case.’”
“The coordinating authority for NGOs working in the field of child rights held, in cooperation with the civil society organizations of Dhamar, a seminar entitled: ‘Advocating Maab Al-Yemeni’s Case.’”
Public pressure for a swift trial #The murder of Maab by her father is unique, according to Hezam, in that it was unusually cruel and grabbed the attention—and captured the anger—of the public.
Similar cases of children being killed by their families usually proceed slowly, if at all. And if they do not get lost somewhere along the way in the country’s disorganized, if not dysfunctional, legal system, the verdict tends to be lenient.
Colonel Muhammad Ali Al-Haddi, the director of the Dhamar Criminal Investigations Bureau, told the Yemen Times that court proceedings would have taken “a very long time” had protests by local residents not expedited the case.
Demonstrations were triggered in Dhamar by photos of Maab’s mutilated corpse, which surfaced online and indicated that the girl had been severely tortured before her death. With considerable evidence implicating the girl’s father in the killing, protesters called for Nouh himself to be killed. Since the first protest on Dec. 29, thousands have been gathering every Thursday and Friday to date, demanding capital punishment for the so-called “killer of innocence.”
Nouh was arrested on the morning of Dec. 27, only hours after killing his daughter. #“During the investigation Al-Yemeni willingly confessed to having murdered his daughter,” Al-Haddi said. “We made him think that we had him under surveillance a few days before he killed his daughter and that denying it would do him no good.”
According to Al-Haddi, the perpetrator was transferred to Ibb governorate’s Criminal Investigation Bureau following his confession. The investigation moved slowly as a result of the country’s political crisis, but, in compliance with protesters’ demands, the case was soon transferred from Ibb to the Criminal Investigation Bureau branch in Dhamar.
The undersecretary of the West Dhamar prosecution office, Ahmad Al-Qeiz, told the Yemen Times that the prosecution finished interrogating the victim’s father and referred the suspect to West Dhamar Preliminary Court on Jan. 12. Only two days later, on Jan. 14 the trial began.
According to Al-Qeiz, “In the first trial session, headed by Abdu Al-Hajuri, the prosecution accused the suspect of willfully killing his daughter Maab.” The allegations are haunting, he said. “The indictment read that the accused tortured and beat his daughter for days. He stabbed her and burned her skin using a clothes hanger and an iron. At night he took her to a vacant area in Naqil Sumara, Ibb governorate, and shot her several times with a pistol, killing her instantly. Leaving her body behind, he left.”
Al-Haddi said the court has definitive evidence proving the suspect is guilty: A video of the father conducting various methods of torture on the ten-year-old girl, which left scars all over her body. Al-Haddi also said there is evidence of careful planning by the father to carry out the killing, as demonstrated by his purchasing of a pistol and his travel plans.
Al-Haddi said the culprit is not considered criminally insane.
According to Al-Qeiz, the prosecution has submitted as evidence the murder weapon and projectiles taken from the girls body, as well as the suspect’s cellphone, which contains video clips of the victim while she was being tortured.
The prosecution is demanding the accused be executed in accordance with article 234 of the Penal Code.
Fuad Al-Khazan, who has a law firm in Sana’a, told the Yemen Times that the normal punishment for a father killing his son or daughter is ten years imprisonment. Where torture is involved, as in Maab’s case, the punishment can be life in prison. According to Al-Khazan, the penal code does not permit for a father to be executed for killing his offspring, and with this specific case there is considerable pressure from the public for the father to be punished by death.
Al-Qeiz expects a verdict will be announced within the coming few days because all evidence indicates the suspect is guilty of a “crime against humanity.” The suspect has thus far not hired a lawyer. Nouh Al-Yemeni admitted to the torture and murder of his daughter Maab and claimed he did so because she was no longer a virgin.
What drove Nouh to kill his daughter?
According to Al-Haddi, Nouh suspected that his daughter was practicing prostitution and had her undergo virginity tests at three different hospitals, the last one being the Specialized Motherhood Hospital in Sana’a.
At all three hospitals it was determined that the ten-year-old was still a virgin. Despite these expert opinions, Nough remained unconvinced.
An interview Nouh gave to Marib Press after his arrest is telling of his unstable condition and relationship with his daughter. “I asked my daughter Maab to read the Holy Quran with her two sisters but she refused. She was sitting in the kitchen chatting with her mother on her cellphone, and then she ran into the bathroom. I told her to come out but she refused, then I threatened to kill her myself if she didn’t not come out,” he said. “When she came out I asked her to tell me the truth about whom she was speaking with otherwise I would kill her.”
Nouh is divorced and has three daughters from the marriage, including Maab. His ex-wife, who is from Ibb governorate, remarried and all three children were left in his custody.
When Maab told him she was chatting with her mother, Nouh said he became upset and hit her. “She told me her mother had forced her to stay on the phone by threatening to tell me, her father, that she was having sexual relationships with boys.” Maab went on to say, according to Nouh’s statement, that her mother made her perform sexual acts with other men with the intent of upsetting him. None of Nouh’s claims could be verified by the Yemen Times.
Brigadier Abdulkarim Al-Odaini, the general director of Dhamar governorate’s police, told the Yemen Times that the perpetrator’s accusations do not justify the murder. He said that preliminary examinations indicate the girl was not raped and did not have sexual relations before. In Al-Odaini’s view, Nouh killed his daughter to get back at his wife who divorced him and re-married someone else.
Nabil Al-Khadher, head of the Sana’a-based human rights organization Dhamanat (“Guarantees”), said the judiciary must punish the perpetrator to the full extent of the law, and agrees that capital punishment is suitable for the nature of Nouh’s crime.

Dad used hot iron to torture kids, including 3-month-old baby (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)
This is what institutionalized fathers rights looks like, folks, Even though Mom is employed and Dad is a deadbeat torture freak, she KNOWS he would still get custody in the event of a divorce. Women (and by extension, mothers) have virtually no rights in Saudi Arabia and are under the thumb of a male guardian for their entire lives. One result is the rampant abuse of children as violent men gain free rein to terrorize women and children all they want.

Family tragedy in Saudi Arabia as nine siblings ‘tortured’
Father said to have used iron to burn children, including three-month-old baby

Gulf News
Manama: Nine siblings, aged between three months and 18 years, were reportedly tortured by their father over the disappearance of 100 riyals (Dh87) from their home in the Red Sea city of Jeddah.
The father is said to have used a hot iron to punish his children, including his recently born daughter, by burning their legs and feet.
The case was discovered by the high school where the eldest daughter was enrolled as a student.
The school principal noticed she was walking barefoot in the school and wanted to know why.
The student said she could not put on her shoes because of the pain she was suffering from the burns inflicted by her father.
Encouraged by the principal to speak out, the daughter revealed how her father abused her and her siblings and how he had tortured them with a hot iron since Wednesday when he could not find the 100 riyals, local daily Okaz reported on Tuesday.
The torture included the three-month baby, the daughter said. The principal alerted the Social Protection care home in Jeddah, prompting its specialists to decide to provide psychological and social support for the siblings who were referred to King Fahd Hospital for check-ups.
The investigation launched by the Social Protection discovered that the children’s mother worked at a school for 3,000 riyals a month and did not stand up to her husband for fear of a divorce that would split up the family.
The children’s father is unemployed and receives monthly assistance from the social solidarity programme.
Social Protection officials said that they would provide temporary accommodation for the siblings before they move them to a flat while the procedures to protect them follow their course with the authorities.
The oldest daughter said that she would rather live with her mother and not with her father, accusing him of being violent with her and her brothers and sisters.
Other sisters said that they had suffered physically as well as academically from their father’s brutality, stressing that their grades at school were low.
Salah Al Ghamdi, the head of Social Protection in Jeddah, confirmed the facts and said that they would meet the father to hear his version before the case is referred to the relevant authorities.
Social authorities, doctors and activists have been pushing for years for appropriate formal action to protect children in Saudi Arabia from domestic violence and school bullying.
Their efforts recently received increased attention as the issue of child abuse came under the spotlight following repeated media reports about children subjected to horrific abuse often by members of their immediate families.
A social activist said that Saudi Arabia recorded 206 cases of violence against children. #“According to the figures, 60 per cent of the cases were abuses while 20 per cent were physical violence,” said Maha Al Muneef, the executive director of the National Family Safety Programme (NFSP). “The remaining 20 per cent were negligence and mental and psychological abuses.”
The 2012 case of a man who tortured his daughter to death sparked widespread outrage and triggered a huge debate over the extent of family privacy, a highly valued concept in conservative circles.

Custodial dad, step sentenced to 15 years in prison for child's torture murder; mom was refused visitation (Saudi Arabia)

15 years for father and wife for beating child to death
Saudi Gazette – 14 hours ago
The General Court has sentenced a father and his second wife each to 15 years in prison and 1,500 lashes for abusing a child so much that he died, Al-Hayat reported.
A medical report showed the child died as a result of torture all over his body around two years ago.
The defendants told the court the child tripped and fell several times and tried to hang himself with a piece of cloth to imitate some cartoons he had seen on television.
They said they had to tie him up every night on the recommendation of a well-known sheikh because the child kept opening their apartment door to strangers at night.
Omar Jabawi and Rola Abu Shalhoob were arrested over two years ago in Riyadh following the medical report that put the causes of the child's death to bruises and contusions in the neck, face, chest, left shoulder, thighs, knees and left cheek.
The doctor said some of the injuries the child sustained were a few days old while some were older.
The main causes of his death were severe head traumas and contusions. Another report by the hospital proved the child sustained all these injuries because of torture.
Neighbors testified before the court that they heard the child crying many nights every night after 10 p.m.
The judge did not hand down a death sentence because there were insufficient conditions for such a verdict.
The child's biological mother, who was divorced and is Syrian, said her child moved in with his father seven months before his death and that she only saw him twice although she did not have a custody child certificate. "My ex-husband and his second wife tortured my child and didn't let me see him," she said.
Fahd Al-Rokban, who taught the child at elementary school, said Abdullah's performance deteriorated after he moved with his father.
When asked why the school failed to spot the torture marks on Abdullah's body, he said most student counselors at schools are engaged in administrative work and do not perform any counseling duties.

Dad charged in starving death of 15-month-old daughter; other kids found severely malnourished as well (Gwinnett County, Georgia)
Update: We see here that the 23-year-old woman is this man's adult daughter, and yes she also is the mother of some of these children. So he had obviously been grooming her and sexually abusing her for a long time. The starving woman is also the mother of some of the children.
-----------
Kind of confusing article. Who is the mother of these children? The 23-year-old woman? The 21-year-old woman found on the floor in a state of severe starvation? Both?
Was the 23-year-old woman deprived of food by the vicious freak as well?
And what the hell is the Nuwaubian Nation of Moors? Sounds like just more bullsh** that men make up to justify their torture of women and children.
Notice that the 23-year-old woman has also been charged with murder, though the article reports that the decision to withhold food was made by Daddy. Typical, in that women are held responsible for men's crimes even when--especially when?--there is little they can do to stop them.
Dad is identified as CALVIN MCINTOSH.

Police: Father charged in baby's starving death could be cult member
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: Police say the woman who was found weighing just 59 pounds in an Extended Stay motel was reported missing in 2010.
Her aunt told Channel 2’s Tony Thomas that she disappeared at the age of 17. Her aunt said the family filed missing person reports for her which listed her as weighing 103 pounds. They have been doing their own investigations ever since but never could track down exactly where she was. They say they then got a call Tuesday night from police saying they had found her in Peachtree Corners.
Police are investigating the starving death of a 15-month-old infant girl.
They say she died at the Extended Stay on Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Gwinnett County.
Channel 2’s Tony Thomas started digging into the case Wednesday and learned disturbing details about charges that the family members face.
Police say the child, Alcenti McIntosh, was taken to the hospital by her father, 44-year-old Calvin McIntosh. The child was determined to be dead upon arrival, police said.
Medical personnel determined that based on the child’s physical appearance, her death was most likely a case of neglect and abuse.
Police executed a search warrant at the location where the family was staying, where investigators said they met with a 23-year-old woman identified as Najilla McIntosh.
There were three other children in the motel room, ages 5, 3, and 3, according to police. The children were severely malnourished and in need of medical attention, police said.
Also in the room was a 21-year-old woman lying on the floor. She was wrapped in blankets and in desperate need of medical attention, weighing only 59 pounds, police said.
While executing the search warrant, police said they found large amounts of literature and notes pertaining to ritualistic behavior and the Nuwaubian Nation of Moors, an Islam-based cult which is known for being a sovereign group, police said.
Investigators later learned that Calvin McIntosh fathered all four children.
Police said they learned Calvin McIntosh would deprive the children of food when they were disobedient.
The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner ruled starvation as the cause of death for Alcenti McIntosh, police said.
Thomas asked a witness if she suspected any abuse going on in the motel room that she walked by on a regular basis.
“I didn’t know what was going on,” the witness said. “For the last week and a half, I would go past the door and I would hear a lot of crying. Just crying, crying, crying.”
The three surviving children are in the Department of Family and Child Services custody, while the woman who was malnourished remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Calvin McIntosh and Najilla McIntosh have been charged with felony murder, malice murder, first-degree cruelty to children, second-degree cruelty to children, and cruelty to a physically disabled adult.
Calvin McIntosh was also charged with rape, incest, and aggravated sodomy.

Dad with shared custody finally indicted on 2nd-degree murder charges for 2011 drowning death of 3-year-old son (Syracuse, New York)
Update to the killer dads and custody lists. Though it has taken three years, dad MARCEL WASHINGTON was finally indicted on 2nd-degree murder charges earlier this year.
What is not reported here (of course), is that Dad had a criminal record in addition to all his alleged mental illness/religious obsession issues--and was awarded shared custody anyway. The little boy's drowning death occurred during Dad's weekend parenting time.

Syracuse Man Indicted in Exorcism Murder of Three-Year Old
When police in Syracuse, New York discoverd the body of three-year old Ameen Washington on November 5, 2011, they didn't have to look far to find their main suspect. The boy's father, 28-year-old Marcel Washington openly admitted killing Ameen in an attempt to exorcise the "Shatan" or devil that he believed was possessing him.
According to family members, Washington had been showing increasingly erratic behaviour in the weeks leading up to Ameen's death. His mother described her son reporting deeply paranoid ideas such as believing that people were whispering about him and his sisters felt he was acting "out of character". Even his girlfriend, Enida Ibrahimovic, who had been dating him for several months prior to the killing reported that he was acting in a bizarre manner. Still, nobody would have believed that he posed a risk to his son. "It all just happened so fast," said a cousin, "People who knew him are in total disbelief."
Despite these clues, he showed no indication of posing any risk to his son and was seen as a caring father. Still, on November 5, Washington reportedly placed his son in a cold shower and demanded to know if Ameen "worshipped only God." After hearing his son say "no", he then placed his face under water for ten minutes. In the statement Washington provided to police, Ameen's struggling convinced him that "Shatan" was resisting and he continued holding him under water until the struggling stopped.
When he removed Ameen from the shower, he saw foam coming out of the boy's mouth and he laid him on the bed until the foam finished draining out. When Washington noticed that Ameen had no pulse, he believed that he was still alive because "the pulse of the Shatan is very hard to track." Though he fled after realizing his son was dead, he subsequenty turned himself into police with his sister at his side. During the lengthy police interrogation that followed, he While he was arrested shortly afterward, he was emotionally upset at times as he described his reasons for attempting to exorcise his son. He also voiced little remorse for Ameen's death stating that "his child was better off dead than living with a devil inside of him."
A self-professed Muslim, Washington reported seeking guidance from the local religious community over his concerns about his son being possessed. He also claimed that Ameen was acting in a bizarre fashion and that a community elder told him to take the boy to the local Mosque where he could be treated by prayer.
While Washington was arrested in 2011, he was only indicted for second-degree murder last month due to the delay in completing a psychiatric assessment. While his defense attorney has declined to provide the results of his assessment, the question surrouunding Marcel Washington's mental state at the time of his son's death are likely to dominate the trial. In the meantime, family members continue to grieve over Ameen's death and openly wonder whether they could have done anything to prevent it.

Dad jailed for violent 3-hour assault on two daughters; police refused to investigate earlier complaints of abuse (United Kingdom)
Notice how this attack could have been averted if the dumb @$$ evil police had interviewed the family members separately. But no, they went with the abuser's glib assurances that everything was fine. Dad could have killed these girls by his attempts to strangle them--all to "punish" them for contacting the police earlier.
This is why so many victims don't even bother to call the police. In too many cases, they don't do sh** or actually make matters worse. And don't you know that when UNNAMED DAD gets out of jail in 18 months there will be hell to pay once again. These guys never learn anything, except that they can get away with it most of the time.
As far as I'm concerned, a lot of these men just have to be put down like rabid dogs. It's the only way to keep women and children safe.

Derby father jailed for violent three-hour assault on his two daughters
By Derby Telegraph | Posted: October 14, 2014
Derby Crown Court heard that a 43-year-old man assaulted his two teenage daughters with a screwdriver and wooden spoon over a three-hour period. He has been jailed for 18 months.
A VIOLENT father who assaulted two teenage daughters by hitting them with a screwdriver and a wooden spoon and punching them over a three-hour period has been jailed for 18 months.
The 43-year-old man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, assaulted his daughters when they tried to protect their mother who had intervened in an argument he was having with his son.
One of the daughters, who is now estranged from the family, said in a victim impact statement: "Because I have spoken out about my father's violence, I am no longer welcome in the family home. They are too scared of him to show me any support.
"It's amazing to wake up every morning without the constant threat of being subjected to abuse.
"I should have felt safe in the family home... it was like a torture chamber."
During the incident, which started at 11pm on a May evening in a house in Derby, the father slapped and punched one of his daughters before hitting her across the back with a vacuum cleaner cable.
The girl had then gone into her bedroom and called the police.
Sarah Allen, prosecuting at Derby Crown Court, said: "The police arrived. The defendant spoke to the officers and as the family were all sitting quietly they believed everything was in order and left. The girl was too scared to tell police it was her who had telephoned. After they left, the father demanded to know who had called the police."
It was then the defendant picked up a screwdriver and used it to hit his two daughters on the knees and punched their heads.
"He made them kneel in front of him and hit them to their head and hands with the screwdriver," said Miss Allen. He then used the head scarf of one of them to throw her on to the settee and tried to strangle her with his hands – she had struggled to breathe and was flailing about and screaming. The other girl tried to protect her sister but he pulled her off the sofa and continued to assault the other girl.
The attacks ended at 2.30am when the girls managed to go to bed. However the next day he began to attack one of the girls again and that was when the other teenager called the police.
Sentencing the man, Recorder Nigel Daly said: "It was an extreme abuse of power and the trust daughters are entitled to put in their fathers."
The man admitted three offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

"Sadistic" dad who beat 10-year-old daughter spared jail (United Kingdom)
The UK is particularly indulgent of abusive fathers, and they really seem to back off if the father is a Muslim fanatic.

Lancashire Telegraph: ‘Sadistic’ Burnley dad who beat terrified daughter with a ladle spared jail
A ‘SADISTIC’ Burnley dad who beat his terrified daughter ‘up to 40 times’ with a ladle for not reading the holy book, has been spared jail.
The 46-year-old man had told the girl to bend over before ordering her brother to hit her 120 times with the weapon.
He had then taken the spoon off the boy and repeatedly struck the 10-year-old victim as she sobbed and gasped for breath.
The defendant, said to have also kicked the child in the hip, back and stomach, threatened the girl’s mother with violence after she tried to intervene.
He then said he was going to Pakistan and left the house, the town’s magistrates had earlier heard.
The hearing was told how the father, who left the victim injured and in pain, was later arrested after a visit from the NSPCC.
The charity had been alerted by another child of the family.
The defendant told police the victim said every day she was going to recite and pray, but she didn’t.
He claimed he had made a mistake when he hit her.
The prosecutor had said officers asked him if he knew it was against the law to hit children and he replied he didn’t realise it was ‘such a big thing’. She continued: “He said he would never do it again and has repented.”
The defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had admitted child cruelty on March 23 and was committed to the crown court for sentence. The bench had told the father, who had no previous convictions, they felt his behaviour was sadistic.
He was spared jail by Judge Jonathan Gibson, who said the offence was ‘serious over-chastisement.’ The judge said the defendant was assessed as being a person who the probation service could work with, together with social and children’s services, in order, hopefully, that he could be rehabilitated.
Judge Gibson told the father: “I have in mind when sentencing you the very obvious abhorrence that society has in relation to assaults upon children, but also the effects upon your family a custodial sentence might have.
“It seems to me that I would be punishing your family if I were to send you immediately to prison, which would be for a relatively short period, when in fact intensive work can be done, and needs to be done, in the community with you.”
The father was given a two-year community order with two years’ supervision and must pay £150 costs.
The lower court had heard the girl had lived in Burnley with her parents and several siblings.
There was a dispute over who was going to do the ironing.

Bodies of 2 children murdered by father flown to US
Man stabbed daughter and son to death while they were visiting him in Israel; funeral to take place in Ohio
By Times of Israel staff June 17, 2014, 6:01 pm
The bodies of two children who were murdered by their father last Wednesday in the central Israeli village of Yashresh were flown to the US early Tuesday for burial.
The children’s funeral is expected to take place Wednesday in Columbus, Ohio, and will be facilitated by the Torat Emet congregation, of which the children’s mother is a member.
The son and daughter, 14 and 10, were stabbed to death Wednesday evening shortly after arriving in Israel for a visit with their father.
The father admitted to police he killed the kids, reportedly to torment his ex-wife.
According to initial reports, the father told police that he murdered the children “so that their mother’s life would be over.”
The court has imposed a gag order on the identity of the victims and the alleged killer.
The mother and the children are dual US-Israeli citizens.
The Jewish Federation of Columbus reportedly made the legal arrangements to have the bodies brought back to Ohio for burial and arranged for grief counseling for the children’s family, school friends and neighbors, Gordon Hecker, the president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Columbus, told the Columbus Dispatch.
“We’re all grieving. Our entire community is grieving,” Rabbi Avi Goldstein of the Beth Jacob Congregation told the Dispatch. “The Jewish community is one big family, and we come together for each other at all times and especially at a time like this.”
Domestic violence complaints were lodged against the father in 2005 and in 2009, before the couple divorced. The wife had also spent time in a battered women’s shelter before the divorce was finalized.
The ex-wife gained main custody of the children and, because the husband could not provide child support, decided to move to the US, the Ynet news site reported. The suspect was unsuccessful in fighting his ex-wife’s intention to leave the country but succeeded in securing twice-yearly visits.
While searching the man’s residence, police discovered a journal in which the suspect had “obsessively” recorded his feelings and actions, especially in regard to his ex-wife, the Walla news site quoted police as saying.
The small community of Yashresh, where the suspect was raised and still lived in a house next to his parents, and where the couple had lived when they were together, was reportedly reeling from the incident. A team of psychologists and other professionals were dispatched to the community to help residents, especially the local children, most of whom had grown up with the victims.

"Christian" dad denies he justified his child abuse through selective cherry picking from the Bible (United Kingdom)

Christian father denies using passages from the Bible to justify caning of children
By Exeter Express and Echo | Posted: May 14, 2014
A Christian parent has denied using the cane or belt on his children or using passages from the Bible to justify his punishments.
The 46-year-old father told Exeter Crown Court that his ex wife and three children have all lied about his allegedly violent and controlling behaviour.
He said he did not believe in the Biblical proverb that to spare the rod is to spoil the child and his interpretation of the Scriptures led him to be a caring and patient parent.
The jury had earlier heard from a Plymouth based Pentecostal Pastor who described how he had urged the man not to use physical punishments on his children but thought his message had not been accepted.
The father, from Devon, denies two counts of cruelty against his step-daughter and oldest son from when they were aged three or four to 15 or 16.
They allege they were beaten with a belt or cane, made to take cold showers, kicked, and made to sit cross legged staring at a wall for days on end.
The youngest daughter said she was not abused but witnessed other punishments and recalls her father reading verses from the Bible about sparing the rod before he started using the cane on her older brother.
Rev Michael Symonds, who was the family’s minister at a Pentecostal Church before taking up his present post in Plymouth, told the jury how the father had asked his advice about discipline.
He said:”We spoke about discipline and he told me he had been advised by a man from his last church that to spare the rod was to spoil the child, which to my mind is taking the Scriptures out of context. “It comes from Proverbs, Chapter 13. I spoke to him about the importance of disciplining children but said it should not be with physical violence. He kept referring back to what he had been advised before.
“I felt he was not taking on board what I was saying. I gave him examples of how I disciplined my own children and told him that hitting children is simply not acceptable.
“I felt it was one of those occasions when you speak to people but you feel your words are not taken in. The fact he kept going back to the other man’s advice meant he was not taking in what I was saying.”
The father told the jury he had smacked the two older children when they were young but never beaten them with a cane or belt or enforced the wall punishment for more than a few minutes.
He said the allegations only surfaced after his wife told him their marriage was over and she wanted him to leave the house.
He said:”I did not use any form of violence towards the children. They are telling lies. I was not a bully in any way.”
He denied ever reading the passage from the Bible about sparing the rod.
He said:”There is no such scripture I asked Rev Symonds about how he brought up his children but he is mistaken about that.
“I did used to sit regularly at the kitchen table with the children and read the Bible but it was always a message of love, peace and patience.”

Daughter describes violent sexual assault at hands of her father
By Michael D. Abernethy / Times-News
Published: Friday, April 25, 2014 at 18:41 PM.
Jurors in a rape trial watched video Friday of a woman describing to investigators two violent sexual assaults by her father, during which she said she was choked unconscious, had her head bashed against a wall and was threatened with a knife.
The assaults allegedly occurred in a Snow Camp apartment on Dec. 19, 2010, when her father, 76-year-old Emmet Thomas Cosier, of Boyne City, Mich., was visiting for Christmas. The interview video was played after lead investigator, Detective Bobby Baldwin, with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, took the witness stand.
The entire interview on May 6, 2011, lasted more than five hours. Jurors watched only portions of that interview deemed relevant to the trial.
Cosier is charged with first-degree rape, second-degree rape, attempted first-degree sex offense, two counts of second-degree sex offense and two counts of incest. He is charged here only with two incidents that allegedly occurred Dec. 19, 2010. His trial began Tuesday in Alamance County Superior Court and will continue next week.
The woman testified about decades of sexual abuse by Cosier as they traveled the world and worked in Africa as missionaries. Cosier and his family helped build a school in The Gambia, Africa, and he and his wife founded their own mission in 1985. Cosier is only on trial in Alamance County for the events that allegedly occurred in Snow Camp.
In the interview, the woman, now 41, said she called out and tried to scream for help but that her voice wouldn’t work. She said Cosier threatened to kill her if she told on him and also threatened to take her son away from her.
The woman said her husband, children and mother were nearby but possibly not in the apartment at the time. Cosier and the woman’s mother were staying in a neighboring apartment during their visit.
Her husband testified Thursday that he saw red marks around her neck and commented on them at the time but didn’t press his wife about what caused them. He couldn’t recall the exact events of that day, which also included a Christmas party with the whole family.
In the courtroom, the woman’s mother shook her head in disagreement with her daughter’s story during several moments of the recorded interview: once when her daughter described Cosier beating her head against the wall, and again when the woman began laughing during the interview as she described regaining consciousness to find her wrists bound by her father’s belt.
Under cross-examination by defense attorney Don Dickerson, Baldwin testified about photographs of Cosier’s genitals. The woman testified she saw specific marks on Cosier’s legs during the Dec. 19 attack. None of those marks was evident in the photographs, Baldwin said.
Dickerson also pressed Baldwin about where other family members could have or would have been during the alleged attacks. Baldwin said he couldn’t say where they were, but said it would have been possible for any family member to enter the bedroom during the assaults. Baldwin will continue testifying when the trial continues at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the Alamance County Historic Courthouse.

ABU DHABI // A father who whipped his 12-year-old son to death has had his one-year jail sentence overturned by the court of cassation.
Emirati R M admitted repeatedly hitting his son with an electrical wire and a cane, claiming he only wanted to discipline him for poor school grades.
The beating was so severe the son was left unconscious and covered in blood.
He was driven to hospital by his mother where he was declared dead.
Prosecutors originally charged R M with causing death by beating, which holds a maximum jail term of 15 years.
At the first trial in Abu Dhabi Criminal Court, the charge was changed to premeditated murder.
As the boy’s heirs, the father’s parents, waived their rights to a death sentence, R M was sentenced to three years in jail and a blood money settlement of Dh200,000.
His sentence was later reduced by the appeals court to one year, as the boy’s mother also waived her right to blood money.
On Wednesday, the court of cassation ruled that the heirs should not have been consulted in this case.
The law states that a father cannot be charged with premeditated murder unless he confesses, which R M did not, or if it was a straightforward murder act.
In this case, as the tools he used to kill his son were not weapons, it proved it was an attack driven by anger and not planned.
Also, Sharia states that a parent cannot be executed for killing his or her own child.
Hence, there was no death penalty to waive anyway, so the charge should have been beating that led to death.
Also, the medical report showed there was not a fatal blow from the father, as the boy died from shock caused by the pain of the beating.
The cassation court therefore rejected the appeals court’s sentence of one year for premeditated murder and bounced it back for another hearing.

TAXILA: Two minor children were rescued from the ‘torture cell’ of their father and stepmother here on Sunday.
Zahid Tanveer along with some other residents of Chachi Mohallah informed the Wah Cantonment police that his neighbour Saeed Ahmed had chained his two children and locked them in a room without providing them food for many days.
A police team reached the house and after breaking the locks of the room recovered the children and shifted them to the police station. The police said marks of severe torture were found on the bodies of the children. The torture victims were identified as Muneeba, 8, and Haris, 6.
The children could not stand on their feet due to the starvation and torture. Sources said a few months back the father of the children had contracted second marriage after divorcing the mother of the two children. After the marriage, the couple subjected the children to torture and locked them in the room.
The police have taken the father of the children into custody but their stepmother is yet to be arrested.
Later, the children were shifted to the child protection centre in Rawalpindi.

Jihadist dad abducts 18-month-old daughter, takes her to Syria (Lyon, France)
Seldom do we see the parallels between fathers rights and terrorism in such stark relief.
Daddy uses his religious "beliefs" to justify why he can terrorize/punish the mother and take her little girl away from her. Meanwhile, this nitwit is playing out his violent fantasies with no concern for the safety or well-being of his daughter by dragging her into a war zone.
Kind of hard to do potty training while blowing up stuff. So you can just about bet he dumped this child with somebody else and/or he's simply neglecting her. That's assuming he's not taking out his violent women hating on the child....
But for all these guys it's always about hurting the mother. It's never about loving the child.

The French father of 2-year-old Assia has denied kidnapping charges after he took the girl to Syria and joined an armed rebel group linked to al Qaeda, saying he has acted in accordance with Islamic law. His ex-wife is suing for custody.
In a telephone interview with FRANCE 24's sister station Radio France Internationale (RFI) on Wednesday, Hamza Madhouj said his decision to move to Syria with his daughter was not a kidnapping. “Assia is not a hostage. I took my daughter with me, that’s completely different,” he said.
On October 24, 2013, Madhouj left his home in Lyon with his 18-month-old daughter. He drove through Italy, Greece and Turkey and joined Jabhat al-Nusra, a Syrian armed group affiliated with al-Qaeda.
Madhouj’s ex-wife Meriem Rhaiem has not seen their daughter since then. Rhaiem is suing Madhouj for kidnapping and he is now on Interpol’s wanted list.
“In our religion, there’s a command called hijra – it's an obligation for all Muslims not to live in a non-Muslim country. Her mother refused to follow us,” Madhouj argues.
Rhaiem and other parents of French children taken to Syria by relatives held a press conference on Wednesday, calling on the government to help bring them back.
“Is someone looking after her?”
“The questions I have to live with every day are what is she drinking, what is she eating, is she keeping clean, is someone looking after her?” she told FRANCE 24 in an interview prior to the press conference. “I'm living in constant anxiety – in my struggle, every second counts.”
Rhaiem says her ex-husband told her he would rather see their daughter die in Syria than return to France.
Madhouj insists he is taking care of his daughter. “I never said I would rather my daughter died in Syria. I never said that, it’s not true,” he told RFI.
He added that they were near the Turkish border, away from the worst of the fighting. “She eats like every child and sleeps like every child. We are not in a war zone, there are no bombings, I’m not crazy enough to take my daughter into a war zone,” he said.

He added that they were near the Turkish border, away from the worst of the fighting. “She eats like every child and sleeps like every child. We are not in a war zone, there are no bombings, I’m not crazy enough to take my daughter into a war zone,” he said.

Will Syracuse man who killed son to rid him of 'the Shatan' plead insanity?
By Douglass Dowty on April 10, 2014 at 9:26 AM
Syracuse, NY -- A Syracuse man who admitted to police he killed his 3-year-old son to rid him of "the Shatan" could plead not guilty by reason of mental illness.
But that wouldn't spare Marcell Washington from custody in the death of Ameen, who Washington admitted drowning to death in the shower in November 2011.
In fact, Washington could face a lifetime in a psychiatric hospital, instead of 25 years to life in prison if convicted of murder. Under state law, his sentence would be determined by mental health workers and not a judge.
Washington said he thought the devil, or Shatan, had entered his toddler son.
"I did this because I wanted to kill the Shatan that I believed was in my son," Washington explained later. "I thought by killing a portion of Ameen, it would kill the Shatan in him."
After forcing the child under cold water for 10 minutes, Washington put the limp boy's body in the bedroom.
Washington's case was delayed two years as mental health doctors examined the suspect while in jail. To accept a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity, County Court Judge Anthony Aloi has to be convinced Washington isn't faking his condition.
Defense lawyer Thomas Ryan has said that Washington was "nearly incomprehensible" after the arrest, but has improved with mental health treatment.
The judge today adjourned the case until May 12, noting a possible resolution to the case at that point.
Washington was indicted on a murder charge.
