Roger Dale Schultz: Accused of domestic violence, second offense, and child neglect
SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —The father of two young children who showed up alone at a neighbor’s house late Friday morning has been arrested and the children have been reunited with their mother, police said.
The two boys, 4 and 5, said their father Roger Dale Schultz III, fought with their mother, and he hit her and pushed her before their mother put them in the car in an attempt to leave.
While the mother was in the house trying to find the car keys, Schultz sped away with the children in the car, the police report said.
The boys’ mother left the home on foot looking for them. While she was looking, the father dropped the boys off back at home, and apologized to them and said they wouldn’t see him anymore because their mother called the police. Schultz then left the house, leaving the children alone.
The boys ended up at a neighbor’s house, and she called the Sheriff’s Office.
For a brief time, deputies were unable to find the mother, but a short time later she was located.
The warrant said that Schultz punched his wife in the face, kicked her and knocked her down Friday afternoon, deputies arrested Schultz on a charge of criminal domestic violence, second offense, and unlawful neglect of a child.
