A Dahisar resident was arrested for on Saturday night repeatedly raping his teenage daughter for the last three years. The accused even got the victim pregnant and forced her to undergo an abortion once.

According to the Dahisar police, the accused has been identified as Satyajeet Chaudhary (42), a resident of the Rawalpada area in Dahisar. He came to Rawalpada after his wife passed away in 2005, and was living with his two daughters and a son.

“On Saturday, Chaudhary’s eldest daughter 16-year-old Jyoti (name changed to protect identity) contacted a child welfare activist and informed her that she was being sexually exploited by her father,” said Ansar Peerzade, senior inspector, Dahisar police station.

Jyoti told the police that Chaudhary first forced himself on her in 2009. Jyoti got pregnant in 2010, after which Chaudhary took her to a clinic in Borivali and forced her to undergo an abortion. Chaudhary was arrested and has been remanded to police custody till Wednesday.
