However, as more dads are cast into "caretaking" positions--either because of custody/visitation "rights" or because they're the unemployed "babysitter of an employed mother--we're seeing a lot more cases like this UNNAMED DAD. Where is Mom anyway? No mention of her at all, which is typical.

Wichita police jail father, place three young children in protective custody

WICHITA — Three young children have been taken into protective custody and a 25-year-old man has been arrested after a naked 2-year-old girl was found on a neighbor's porch Monday morning, police said.
A 46-year-old woman called police after finding the girl on her front porch in the 1300 block of South Pattie shortly after 6:30 a.m. Monday.
It was the second time in the past few weeks that she had found the unsupervised child wandering, she said.
Police went to the child's home and questioned her father, who attempted to hide a marijuana pipe and marijuana from the officers, police said.
He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of drug offenses and child endangerment. The three girls in the house — ages 6, 2 and 9 months — were placed in protective custody.
