Dad charged with fracturing ribs of 2-week-old son; blames baby for crying during diaper change (Onslow County, North Carolina)

Dad JAMES MCPHAIL has been arrested and charged with child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury. Seems that Daddy Dearest "intentionally squeezed" his then 2-week-old son, fracturing his ribs. Doesn't appear to be the first time Daddy abused the child either. So what horrible thing did this newborn do? He cried during a diaper change!

A father is under arrest after deputies say he injured his newborn son because he was crying.

James McPhail is charged with child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.

Onslow County deputies say the 22-year-old man intentionally squeezed his then two week old son because he cried during diaper changes. The infant had multiple rib fractures that were healing, a femur fracture and a current rib fracture.

McPhail's bond was set at $25,000.
