Father of 15-year-old's baby charged with indecent liberties (Lenexa, Kansas)

Father MYNOR LEIVA has been charged with battery and aggravated indecent liberties with a child--in this case the "child" is his 15-year-old live-in girlfriend, who has a 7-month-old baby with Leiva.

Father of 15-year-old Lenexa girl’s baby charged with indecent liberties

Lenexa police responding to a domestic disturbance this week discovered the persons involved were a 15-year-old girl and her 20-year-old live-in boyfriend.

Investigating officers soon learned the couple had a seven-month-old baby together, Lenexa Police Sgt. Karl Burris said this morning.

The initial disturbance happened Tuesday afternoon at the couple’s apartment in the 12000 block of 77th Street.

The girl suffered minor injuries, Burris said, and she and the baby are with relatives.

The boyfriend, Mynor Leiva, has been charged in Johnson County district court with battery and aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

Charges stem from the ongoing sexual relationship that occurred in Lenexa, Burris said.

Detectives are still investigating where any prior relations may have taken place and where the baby was born.

They also are investigating whether the girl was in school and whether the birth was reported to social services, Burris said
