Sheriff: Father Arrested After Breaking Infants Leg
Davidson County Sheriff says the 24-year-old was arrested after his newborn was taken to the hospital for a broken leg.
Lexington, NC -- The sheriff says a 24-year-old was arrested after his newborn was taken to the hospital for a broken leg.
Davidson County Sheriff's deputies arrested 24-year-old Devin Sylvester after receiving a report of child abuse from social services.
Sylvester's 45-day-old child was taken to Baptist Hospital with a fracture to the left thigh. The hospital reported the injury didn't appear to be accidental.
He is charged with Felony Child Abuse.
Sylvester was originally placed under a $5,000 bond but the first appearance judge increased the bond to $100,000.
