Dad, son found guilty of long-term sexual abuse, rape of young girl (Crowthorne, England, United Kingdom)
One of the problems with molester daddies like STEWART ANDREWS is that they groom their sons to commit the same crimes.

A father and his son from Crowthorne have been sentenced in connection with the long-term sexual abuse of a young girl.
Stewart Andrews, 57, and his 23-year-old son Samuel appeared at Reading Crown Court on Friday, August 19, charged with sexual offences against the same child.
Stewart Andrews, of Alicante in Spain, and Samuel Andrews, of Shaw Park in Crowthorne, were sentenced following a trial in July.
Stewart Andrews was convicted of 11 sexual offences and previously admitted two counts of sexual activity with a child.
He was sentenced to 12 years for rape, 12 years for attempted rape of a child under 13 and various sentences for offences including two counts of sexual assault of a child under 12, causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and six counts of sexual activity with a child.
His sentences added up to a total of 59 years and will be served concurrently.
Stewart Andrews was also issued with an indefinite Sexual Offences Prevention Order with conditions prohibiting him from having any unsupervised contact of any kind with any female child under 16, other than what is inadvertent and not reasonably avoidable in the course of lawful daily life.
During the same trial his son Samuel Andrews was convicted of two counts of sexual activity with a child and was given a nine-month prison sentence suspended for two years. He was also ordered to take part in the Thames Valley Sex Offenders programme.
The offences started when the girl was nine years old.
Passing sentence Judge Richard Parkes described Stewart Andrews as “shameless” and a “cunning and manipulative” man who undertook a “classic grooming process” during his continuing abuse of a child.

Women reporters organize speak out on sexual violence against girls (Zambia)
Kudos to the Zambia Media Women Association for taking this on. It is outrageous that these rapists--many of whom are the girls' fathers--walk around in free society, while the victims are placed in "children's homes" where they are little more than prisoners.

Female scribes convene to tackle child sexual abuse

JANE and Eve not real names are victims of defilement. Jane, 9 was defiled by her father while ten-year-old Eve was defiled by her mother's friend.
Here is Jane's account.
"We used to stay in Burton and shared one room with our parents. My father, a taxi driver, and my mother had a their own bed while I shared the other with my five brothers and sisters. One night last year while I was asleep, my father picked me up and put me on the bed he shared with mum and undressed me by moving my pants to my knees. And he put his manhood in my private parts," says Jane.
Her mother who was asleep woke up and asked her husband about what he was doing. The father just held Jane's mouth to prevent her from screaming and asked the wife to remain silent.
"In the morning when he had gone for work my mother asked me what he had done and I told her. That is when she took me to the hospital," Jane recalls. "After some time my father drove to the hospital to see us. That was when he was arrested by police."
Jane says she never wants to see her father again. She is currently being kept at a children's home in Livingstone. Jane says she only misses the friends she used to play with in her neighbourhood.
Eve of Livingstone's Ngwenya township was defiled on three occasions by her mother's friend who used to assist her with charcoal.
"I could not tell my mother what had happened on one night when she left me alone in the house when he came and had sexual intercourse with me. He did the same on two different occasions before my mother noticed that I was limping. When she asked me, I told her what had happened. That is when he was called and he agreed that he was having sex with me," Eve says.
A meeting was convened with the defiler's relatives who offered to be paying K100,000 per month as compensation, but the news leaked and he was finally arrested.
Both perpetrators in Jane and Eve's cases are currently appearing in court.
These are sad tales which journalists were told by the victims at a recent workshop on sexual violence against girls organised by the Zambia Media Women Association (ZAMWA) in Livingstone.
Lushomo Danny's Home in Livingstone's Libuyu township is a haven for abused children and currently has 19 girls.
Home administrator, Victoria Mwansabamba, said the justice system was tormenting the children, as they felt imprisoned at the transit home while the perpetrators were out on police bond.
"The biggest challenge we are facing at Lushomo is the delay in the justice system as the girls feel imprisoned as they are not free to walk the streets. We also fear that the offenders may harm them if they come in contact with them, but the cases are being adjourned now and then," Mwansabamba said.
Lushomo coordinator Sr Brigita Sanding said the children were afraid to come face to face with the perpetrators as the law required.
"We are counselling the girls and a few of them now are able to talk of their experiences. But the situation is very bad as you find a father defiling his own child. We need the media to keep on talking of this issue so that we put a stop to it as it affects the future of the girl," Sr Sandings said.
ZAMWA programmes officer Pauline Songiso said there was need to have recommendations and strategies for legal reform based on an analysis of substantive and procedural laws in formal and traditional legal systems that impede and or facilitate girls' access to justice and perpetuate or condone sexual violence against girls.
"This should include activities, include a review of law, procedures and practice, customary on response to SVAG (sexual violence against girls). Increase knowledge among the legal community such as lawyers, law school faculty and prosecutors on international, regional and national legal standards applicable to the rights of girls," Songiso said.
She said the police's Victim Support Unit (VSU), which was often the first contact for victims, faced several challenges including resource constraints thus affecting its ability to respond and follow up cases effectively.
"The challenges include office space where survivors can be interviewed and cases can be dealt with in privacy. Many officers working in the VSU lack the necessary skills to enable them to deal adequately with gender violence including skills in psycho-social counselling, the long process of collecting forensic evidence such as DNA which is done in South Africa," she said.
Songiso said health centres, which were usually the second point of contact are also constrained by systemic lack of resources, shortage of staff and facilities.
"The law requiring corroboration of a child's evidence should be abolished and there is need to amend the medical and allied professions Act to expand the legal definition of who is able to sign a medical examination form to allow other hospital clinical staff such as nurses to support this role," she said.
Songiso said there was need to review key legislation affecting sexual violence against girls such as the constitutional provision on defilement, laws on marriage and the media could greatly help with identifying cases for strategic litigation and other support.
And Derrick Sialondwe, who is a child sex abuse coordinator at the Livingstone General Hospital, said child sexual abuse (CSA) in Zambia had received minimal attention to date and there was virtually no data on it published.
"Regardless of these factors and difficulties in quantifying CSA, it has been repeatedly reported in the media on the daily basis. In examining the nature of the perpetrator at Livingstone General Hospital CSA One Stop Centre, it has been found that 30 per cent account for relatives, 60 per cent account for trusted people known to the child such as teachers, fellow pupils, neighbours, and 10 per cent accounts for the strangers," Sialondwe said.
"According to statistics, most of the cases seen at LGH CSA One-Stop Centre come from within and outskirts of Livingstone. However, it is well known that there are enormous numbers of sexual abuse incidents which are never reported to any health facility, Victim Support Unit or the police.
"It is a common secret within all ethnic groups. It exists among the rich and the poor, the highly literate people and the illiterate people. According to the rapid assessment of the incidence of child abuse in Zambia report on literacy and gender, 33 per cent of sexually-abused children did not go to school and 67 per cent attended school; 72 per cent were females and 28 per cent were males."
He said signals and symptoms of defilement that parents should look for in their children fall in two categories - physical and emotional.
"The physical symptoms include swelling on the genitals, abrasion or bruises on the body, genital sores or ulcer, genital watts, vaginal discharge. Under emotional you have behaviour such as excessive crying, an increase in irritability or temper tantrums, aggression towards others, poor school performance, bed wetting or soiling of pants, knowing more of sexual behaviour than what is expected of a child of that age, sexualised play such as trying to have sex with other children," said Sialondwe.

Killer dad gets custody of 4-month-old daughter--with FBI help (Dearborn, Michigan)
I swear, there are some days you just can't make this sh** up. First you have the ACLU helping a dad who screws minors get custody of his kids back (see post below this one).
Then you have a dad like DAMON DANIEL. He KILLED HIS DAUGHTER'S MOTHER--presumably in "self defense" though we don't know for sure since no charges have ever been filed (i.e. Daddy got away with murder). So he naturally gets custody of the baby. Some of the mother's family members didn't like that, and managed to disappear with the baby at court. So killer daddy GETS HELP FROM THE FBI in getting the baby back.
I can't tell you how many times law enforcement--including the FBI--have refused to help mothers. Even mothers who can document histories of paternal abuse.

Father whose infant daughter went missing during a court hearing speaks out

DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) - A man who killed his fiancée in an act of self defense is speaking out about what the last two weeks have been like for both him and his infant child.
“She’s fine; getting better actually. Getting back to her normal ways and getting back to herself,” says Damon Daniel, looking back at is 4-month-old daughter, Evelyn.
She’s been through a lot in the past 2 weeks whether she knows it or not - starting with the death of her mother Ebony.
When asked about Ebony’s death, Daniel says, “I really don’t want to speak about that too much.”
With no charges being filed, there was no reason not to allow Daniel to take custody of Evelyn. That would prove to be easier said than done when Evelyn disappeared from the Lincoln Hall of Juvenile Justice while the order was being given.
Daniel says, “I can’t even explain it. It was eating me up. I can’t put it into words.”
Nearly three days would pass with no sign of little Evelyn. Neither family claimed to know her whereabouts.
Daniel says even the FBI was evolved in the search.
But then he received the call he’d been waiting for, from one of ebony Gaines’ family members.
“She’s said uh, the stuff that’s going on with you and my family is getting out of hand. It’s getting ridiculous,” he says.
That’s when Daniel says Evelyn was taken from what he can only assume was the home of one of Ebony Gaines’ family members, and rushed to be reunited with him.
Daniel says, “She hurried up, got her in the car without her car seat - she didn’t have the car seat. She pulled off and said meet me at the gas station hurry up.”
That’s where one of Daniel’s friends was waiting to bring the child back to home to her father.
He says, “The right thing happened. I got what was important.”

County to pay attorneys $242K for blocking perv daddy from seeing kids (Fayette County, Pennysylvania)
The ACLU has officially lost all decency. They wasted time and energy helping UNNAMED DAD, who was sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl, so he could see his kids? How many other worthy cases did they turn down so they could help this daddy? And where was the mother in all this? Who knows. Written out of the story.
Shame on Judge Donetta W. Ambrose for going along with this sham.

Fayette County will pay $242K to attorneys for blocking father
By Daily Courier
Thursday, September 1, 2011
Fayette County has been ordered to pay $242,753 to the civil rights attorneys who represented a man who sued the county for preventing him from seeing his children.
The amount, ordered on Wednesday by U.S. District Senior Judge Donetta W. Ambrose, is less than the $445,000 in fees that the American Civil Liberties Union in Pittsburgh had sought to recover.
The ACLU argued the $445,000 represented hourly fees and travel expenses for three attorneys and a paralegal who worked on the case. The ACLU sued Fayette Children and Youth Services and two caseworkers in 2008 for violating their client's civil rights.
The client, identified only as John Doe in court papers, died in a traffic accident last year.
His estate sued the county because CYS forced him to surrender custody of his three children because he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl.
The 32-year-old Smithfield man never was charged with child abuse, but the agency took the action based on the state definition that any adult having sex with someone younger than 18 is considered abuse.

Man Crashes While Drag Racing With Child In Backseat

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- A 2-year-old girl survived a horrific car crash after police said her father was drag racing down Tiny Town Road in Clarksville.
Witnesses said the two cars were going at least 100 miles per hour when one of them lost control, flipped and crashed in a resident's front yard. When they ran outside to help, they were not only shocked to see that two men survived, but that there was a baby upside down in a car seat with nothing more than a few scratches.
"When we got out here there was still dust flying. It just happened," said Betsy Burkhart who said they have had several accidents in their yard, but nothing like this one.
"When they hit the pole that hard you know that usually they don't survive," said Burkhart. She was startled to see how mangled the Honda Accord was after it collided with a utility pole. She was also startled to hear a baby crying from the backseat.
"I heard the baby crying from the start so that was a good thing, so I came out here.
They found a 2-year-old toddler strapped into her car seat dangling upside down, said Burkhart as she called 911. She said the baby was alert and crying when they found her.
It took rescue crews an hour to pull the toddler out safely. Meanwhile police began to realize this wasn't just a freak accident.
"They said he was probably going over 110," said Nathan Burkhart who also responded to the crash in his front yard.
Police believe the baby's 23-year-old father deliberately put the pedal to the floor while drag racing with another car. Meanwhile, a mother and her three kids were also caught up in the drag racing accident.
"I did hear them coming before I saw them in my mirror. It sounded like engines revving," said
Anastasia Davis who saw the crash happen in an instant. She said the Honda overcorrected, flipped and uprooted a utility pole buried seven feet in the ground. As the electrical wires came crashing down, they trapped her family in their car.
"It is frustrating because when you do that, you don't just put yourself at risk you put the cars around you at risk, so we are just very grateful that we are safe," said Davis.
That toddler was safe too. She was pulled out with a few scratches.
"It was unbelievable. The metal around the car was just wrapped to that car seat, it's unbelievable that it's just scratches," said Burkhart.
But Burkhart says it's another example of speeding gone wrong on Tiny Town Road. She's already seen two fatal accidents in her front yard from people who sped around a turn too fast.
There was another passenger in the car, a 24-year-old man in the front seat. He was treated at a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The 23-year-old driver and his daughter were airlifted to Vanderbilt.
Police are still looking for the other car that was drag racing, but sped off after the crash. They say it was a red Mazda with a sticker on the back that said "zoom zoom."
Anyone with information about the crash should call the Clarksville Police Department.

Must really suck to me dad GREGORY F. BABCOCK. You're "estranged" from your son's mom--and she has custody. And thank goodness the system worked the way it was supposed to for once. Plus, you were stupid enough to abuse your son in public AND IN FRONT OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY.

Mannsville man accused of grabbing son by neck
SANDY CREEK — An occasion for some family pride here Tuesday became tarnished by a domestic fight for anybody to watch, including an Oswego County assistant district attorney, according to state police.
Families had brought their young soccer players to the Little League field to have pictures taken. One of the young athletes, 9, was there with his mother and father, who are estranged, police said.
An argument developed, police said, and the father, Gregory F. Babcock, 28, of 1500 McDonald Hill Road, Mannsville, is alleged to have grabbed his son by the neck — within sight of the prosecutor.
Mr. Babcock was arrested on charges of criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment, and was sent to Oswego County jail, Oswego, with bail set at $3,000 in town of Sandy Creek Court.
The child’s mother has legal custody of him, police said.

Bath dad wins jail sentence appeal
September 2, 2011
A YOUNG Melbourne father who burnt his toddler son so badly that the nerve endings in the boy's feet were destroyed has had his three-year jail sentence quashed on appeal.
Shi Chi Mok is likely to be paroled in just over two months after the court yesterday resentenced him to two years' jail with all but nine months suspended. Mok had been jailed for three years after a County Court jury found him guilty of negligently causing serious injury. He maintained that he had placed the 23-month-old in the bath without checking the water temperature, which was 65 degrees. Mok appealed against his sentence.
In their judgment, Justices Geoffrey Nettle, Marcia Neave and Michael Sifris said the jury would have convicted Mok of a more serious offence if they had been convinced he had deliberately held the child down or put him in twice.
