Dad charged with neglect after abandoning 4-month-old baby in bushes (Orlando, Florida)

Where would we be without our daily abuser dad from the Sunshine State?

Dad CHARLES GOHDE has been charged with child neglect after "allegedly" leaving his 4-month-old daughter under some bushes near Universal Studios. For TWO HOURS no less. Daddy claims he was looking for the mom. Whatever. Why he couldn't push a stroller and look for Mom at the same time is not explained. Makes me question his story at any rate.

Now Florida DCF has taken the baby into custody, though I don't see any evidence here that Mom was acting stupid. Guess she just made the mistake of thinking that dads necessarily make great caretakers. Some DON'T.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The father of a 4-month-old girl was charged with child neglect after police say he left the infant for two hours in bushes near Universal Studios in Orlando while he searched for the baby's mother.

Charles Gohde, 29, was charged with child neglect without great bodily harm Sunday. He has since bonded out of jail.

Police reports say a Universal Studios employee found the crying child in her stroller in the bushes late Saturday. The infant was examined and appeared to be healthy, but was taken to a nearby hospital for an evaluation.

The child is now in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
