Dad charged with murder in death of 4-month-old son (Grygla, Minnesota)

Dad DAMIEN MARSDEN has been charged with murder in the death of his 4-month-old son. Dad was the only person with the baby when he "started showing symptoms" of traumatic head injuries, including a fractured skull.

Don't you just love the evasive way these things are worded?

Grygla man charged in death of 4-month-old son

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) A Grygla man has been charged with murdering his infant son, who died in August of traumatic head injuries.

Marshall County authorities have charged 31-year-old Damien Marsden with three counts. He was arraigned Thursday.

Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigators and the Marshall County Sheriff's Office believe 4-month-old Rylin Marsden was injured Aug. 2 at his home. He died six days later at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

A criminal complaint says Rylin had a fractured skull and injuries caused by "severe rotational or shaking force." The complaint says Damien Marsden was the only person with Rylin before he started showing symptoms.

Marsden told investigators the boy fell off a bed the night before. Marsden was in custody Thursday and unavailable for comment. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
