Dad murders mom in murder-suicide (Orange County, Florida)
Dad JOSE DURAN has murdered his wife, the mother of their two children. Note that domestic violence murders are running DOUBLE of what they were in Orange County last year. This is a trend that has been noted nationally.

Cops: Trooper's Parents Dead In Murder-Suicide

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators believe a man shot his wife and then himself inside their Orange County home. Jose Duran, 52, and his 47-year-old wife Aida were discovered just before midnight Monday, after deputies showed up for a wellness check.

The couple's youngest child is in elementary school. He was not home when they died. Their older son, Jason, is a Florida Highway Patrol trooper with Troop D in Central Florida. He was at the home Tuesday afternoon, very upset and shocked over what was an unexpected tragedy.
Records show Jose and Aida Duran lived in the house in Falcon Trace on Eyas Road in Hunters Glen just south of Orange Blossom Trail ( see map ) for eight years.
Aida Duran's death marks the 14th domestic violence-related homicide in Orange County this year, double what it was at this time last year.
