Dad beats mom to death, then adult children beat HIM to death (Kiruhura, Uganda)

It seems that dad SIMPRISIO BASEETA beat his wife to death for real or imagined indiscretions. And in one of those rare fluke outcomes, the adult children then turned on Dad and beat HIM to death.

It was a situation of hunter becoming the hunted when a jilted husband allegedly killed his wife, before his children reportedly turned against him and ended his life in revenge.

It was a situation of hunter becoming the hunted when a jilted husband allegedly killed his wife, before his children reportedly turned against him and ended his life in revenge.

The Sunday incident occurred at Rwenjubu Village, Kashongi Sub county, Kiruhura District. Jacinta Kemirembe, 44, was allegedly beaten to death by her husband Simprisio Baseeta, 60, at their home.

In retribution, Baseeta was allegedly beaten to death by his three children; Rosette Nduhukire, 23, Rovinsa Twikirize,18. The cause of the domestic fight is not yet clear, but Police said the killing of the wife could have been premeditated.

Premeditated murder?

“We found a will which means the man had planned killing the wife and himself,” Mr James Katushabe, the Kiruhura District Police Commander, said.

Mr Katushabe said the children reportedly said their parents have on several occasions been involved in quarrels. The Police have detained the children as investigations proceed while bodies of the deceased were taken to Mbarara Hospital Mortuary.
