Dad jailed in blunt force trauma death of infant son (Boise, Idaho)

Another babysitting dad, another baby who dies from blunt force trauma to the head....

This time the dad is identified as REYNALDO "LUCAS" SANCHEZ.

BOISE, Idaho — A southwest Idaho man remains jailed on $1 million bond while authorities investigate the homicidal death of his infant son.

The Ada County coroner reported Monday the baby boy, Adrien Sanchez, died Saturday of blunt force trauma to the head and his death was a homicide. Authorities say the baby was born Sept. 20 and fatally injured late last week while in the care of his father.

Jail records show 19-year-old Reynaldo "Lucas" Sanchez remains held on suspicion of felony injury to a child.

Authorities say Sanchez called neighbors in Boise early Friday to say his son had fallen out of an infant bouncy seat. The neighbors then called 911. The infant was first taken to a Meridian hospital and then to St. Luke's in Boise, where he died.
