Children abused by dad during out-of-state spring break visitation (Gainesville, Florida)
Ah, spring break. When children and even teenagers are ordered to visit their out-of-state abusive fathers--usually because a court has told them they must or else. Notice how UNNAMED DAD wasn't happy about the children living up north in Georgia. So in order to demonstrate his displeasure, he slapped his 15-year-old daughter across the face, grabbed her by the shoulders, and shoved her on to the bed. Oh yea. That should convince those kids they want to spend more time with you, Daddy. Wonder what judge ordered these kids to visit Daddy Dearest anyway? And how much you want to bet this wasn't novel behavior for Daddy either, but that the courts ignored previous evidence of abuse?

Three children from Georgia who were visiting their father during their spring break told deputies the man slapped and shoved the oldest child.
According to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, the 40-year-old father was arrested on a charge of child abuse and the children were turned over to another relative following an incident around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies said a neighbor heard the children screaming from an apartment near hers at 1505 NW Fort Clark Blvd.
Deputies said that when they arrived, a 15-year-old girl told them that her father had slapped her across the face with his open hand, then grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her onto a bed.
The girl said she and her father got into an argument about the three children living in Georgia. According to the girl, the argument turned physical when her father told her to walk to Oaks Mall, which was a mile away along West Newberry Road.
Deputies said that the two younger, elementary school-age children corroborated the teen's statement and also followed the teen around the apartment and appeared to be scared.
The father was booked into the Alachua County jail.
