Dad accused of beating 4-year-old daughter during visitation; charged with felonious assault (Warren, Ohio)
Dad is identified as TEDY MENDEZ. Not explained here on whether visitation was court-ordered or at the discretion of the mother trying to "facilitate" the father's involvement (which there is considerable social pressure to do these days).

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The man accused of beating his four-year-old daughter in Warren is scheduled to appear in front of a judge Tuesday afternoon.
Twenty-four-year-old Tedy Mendez was taken into custody around 5 p.m. Monday night in Austintown.
Mendez spent the night in the Trumbull County jail awaiting his arraignment, set for 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Mendez is facing a felonious assault charge.
The young girl was staying with her father for a month-long visit at a home along Laird Avenue in Warren.
Her family saw a photo of her on social media, and noticed the bruises. That’s when her mother and grandmother went to pick her up, but Mendez told them she fell, and hurt herself.
Police said they don’t believe his story and that the girl has a broken elbow, fractured skull and is bleeding from her brain.
“Thank God they got her out of there when they did,” Warren Police Department Officer Robert Massucci said. “If she had been there another week or two, who knows. Based on some of those bruises I seen, somewhere along the line she could have been hurt seriously.”
