OCEANSIDE (CNS) - A 7-month-old boy died of suspicious injuries at a Camp Pendleton hospital Friday, after which his father was arrested on suspicion of killing him, authorities reported.
Medical staffers at Naval Hospital notified Oceanside police about the case shortly before 5:30 a.m., Oceanside Police Department Lt. Sean Marchand said.
Due to the severity of the child's condition, he was transferred to another trauma center, where he was pronounced dead later in the morning.
